This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. It feels like a Ritz-Carlton but with even warmer, more personal service. The corridors are lined with plush carpets, the materials and finishes are all rich and top-notch, and my child immediately described it as “posh” — I’d add that it’s also very zen, peaceful and quiet. The room is generously sized, quiet and very zen. The hotel is new, modern and “smart”: when you get out of bed in the morning, a soft foot light comes on automatically so you don’t have to scramble for switches. The kids loved pressing buttons to close the curtains, and I liked being able to choose between work lighting and cosy ambience at a single touch. Service here is outstanding. Everyone is fully dedicated, responsible, warm and kind — and very prompt. Nothing is ever too much trouble; everything is handled politely, respectfully and thoughtfully, so you really feel safe and well looked after. The team also has a lovely sense of humour, which adds to the comfort and makes the stay feel relaxed and friendly rather than stiff. On top of that, they even helped me plan safe and cost-effective travel options — such amazing, value-added service. Special thanks to Xiaoyu and Xiaoliu, who were excellent throughout. Xiaoyu especially made the extra effort to be promptly on hand via WeChat, helping with any queries even after hours — it honestly felt like having a friend there with us. The rest of the team were equally attentive and caring, and I noticed everyone would greet the guests, including the cleaners. It is a very well-run hotel: not just following instructions but offering real service from the heart. When we checked out, they even surprised us with bags of lovely snacks, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was wonderful. The spread has everything one could ever need: noodles and omelettes cooked on the spot with a rich meat stew, a choice of porridges (I especially liked the millet), plus Western and kid-friendly options, and many different drinks to choose from. Insider tip: don’t miss the croissant — it has egg custard inside as a filling! The toiletries, like the shampoo and soap, are specially made and feel high quality — another small touch that shows how much care has gone into the details. The location is incredibly convenient. Huge malls and a hypermart are literally at the doorstep, and the MRT/subway is linked directly to the hotel. The nearby malls and eateries are massive and have everything you could possibly want. There’s an outlet mall about 15 minutes away, so shopping is definitely covered. Practical bonuses: major banks are right downstairs, and if you need to change RMB, the exchange rate is very good and the fees are reasonable. There’s even a salon if you feel like getting a new haircut during your stay. Through the connected mall, you can find food of every kind, including Michelin-starred options — including a restaurant that serves crab cooked in liquor and delicious braised radish. Although the hotel is luxurious, modern and packed with smart features, what I treasure most is the dedication, warmth and sincerity of the staff. I’ve stayed at many other hotel chains, but this experience is way beyond anything I’ve had before. This stay has now set a very high bar for other hotels to match. Highly, highly recommended.

Huone on puhdas ja mukava, ja se on hieno kokemus yöpyä lasten kanssa. Lapsilla on hauskaa leikkiä Legolla, ja henkilökunta vastaa kärsivällisesti heidän kysymyksiinsä. Aamiaisbuffet oli terveellistä ja herkullista, täysin eri ruokia kahden päivän ajan. Tiikerinahoiset kananjalat olivat niin upeita, että söin kaksi lautasta peräkkäin. Sadepäivinä henkilökunta pitää sateenvarjot ja vie sinut taksitolppaan sekä auttaa lapsia pukemaan sadetakit päälle. Hotelli auttoi myös kommunikoinnissa kuriirin kanssa ja lähetti matkamuistoja, jotka unohdin viedä kotiin sujuvasti. Tee ja välipalat aulassa ovat erittäin herkullisia, suitsukkeiden ja sinettien veistolaitteet ovat valmiit ja on harvinainen meditaatioaika. Koko perhe sanoi, että he yöpyvät taas Manxinfussa, kun he tulevat Pekingiin seuraavan kerran.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel! The location is super convenient — walking distance to 王府井 and right next to 灯市口站, which made getting around very easy. It’s also a new hotel, so everything feels clean and modern. The rooms and facilities are well-maintained, and overall it felt very comfortable staying here. All the staff were great, including the cleaning auntie- everyone was very helpful and kind. The front desk staff may not look very smiley at first, but once you ask for help, they are more than willing to assist. I don’t know all their names, but the few night shift staff I met were especially helpful. We stayed during Chinese New Year, and the hotel even offered dumplings to all guests. It was such a warm and thoughtful gesture, and we really appreciated it. The auntie was very warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more special. Another plus: the bottled water is free flow - just take as many as you need, which is really convenient. There are only a couple of small downsides. The hotel has just one lift, so during peak hours it can be a bit slow. Also, when walking from the hotel to the train/subway station, there are only stairs, so it might be a little tough if you’re carrying big luggage. But honestly, the overall pleasant experience completely outweighed these small inconveniences. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again!

The location was perfectly situated in a hutong close to all tourist destinations while being just outside the busy loud streets. The room was small, but we made due —this was not a trip for staying in hotel. Beside the location, what made the stay go well was the staff. From carrying our overweight luggage up a flight when we arrived to doing our laundry for free, from setting us up with a private driver to take us to Mutianyu GW to bringing us lattes each morning. The hotel itself was charming in old western-influenced  Shanghai style, if a bit dusty in places. As many have mentioned, the fridges are not for cold cold drinks —something hard to find in China anyway. Plenty to discover in the hutongs for eating and drinking. Go for it. 

Majoittui CitiGOssa huhtikuussa 2025. Loistava paikka yöpyä Pekingissä matkoilla. Vastaava ja miellyttävä henkilökunta, joka on valmis vastaamaan kaikkiin kysymyksiin. Huoneet ovat siistejä ja viihtyisiä (vaikkakin melko kompakteja). Huomionarvoisia kohtia: ei kaappia ja lasiovia suihkussa ja wc:ssä, mikä oli hieman epämukavaa. Aamiaisella on laaja valikoima herkullisia ruokia, uskon, että jokainen löytää jotain itselleen. Hotellin lähellä on ostoskeskus ja metroasema. Pysyisin ehdottomasti täällä uudelleen.

This hotel was OK. It was a bit disappointing especially the breakfast. We just simply average. It was OK clean good location, but I expected more from Crystal

This new hotel is tucked down a side street in a hutong area and looks unassuming from the outside. Once inside you will be amazed at the beautiful spaces. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms even bigger with all the modern comforts you could want. Breakfast is a buffet and had a good selection of both western and Chinese foods. The front desk was incredibly accommodating, helping us order in dinner one night after a very long day.

The positives: Location, Location, Location! It is a 10 minute walk away from the forbidden city, and it is close to the temple of heaven. The room service did a nice job as well cleaning the room daily. The negatives: 1- the access to the hotel is through stairs, if you have luggage, you won’t have someone to help you with the bags before you check in. 2- the pictures make seems nicer than it actually is. 3- the lobby is not clean, neither is the floor where we were booked. 4- the rooms too close to each other, the room walls are not well isolated, you will keep hearing noises throughout the night of people walking and speaking loudly beside the rooms. 5- the bathroom has a strong odour coming from it. Not due to room service hygiene though. 6- the toilet seat had wear marks/dark marks on it. 7- pay attention to the fine print while you are booking, despite that all options say double bed, we were asked to pay extra for a queen size bed. Which is fine , however that extra cost puts the hotel rate in the same range of higher tier brand hotels. 8- the room is small, and there are no hangars for the towels.

Jinyu Hutong subway station is just next to the hotel (less than a min walk) which is really convenient given how slow traffic can be in Beijing. It’s convenient to get to most attractions. The staff are polite and would help you keep parcels sent to the hotel (you can retrieve easily by providing your waybill number). If you order ******* or any food deliveries, they’ll send them up quickly with the robot. Really convenient. You could also communicate with them via WeChat. In terms of amenities there’s a laundry room which you can use but most of the time it’s occupied 😅. Other stuff are pretty basic like toiletries, slippers etc. For the price and location, it’s worth it. Opposite the hotel is APM mall and you could walk to wangfujing shopping street also. Starbucks is next door as well. Just a small bone to pick - the bedsheets weren’t changed despite the housekeeping informing us that they’ll be changed every 3 days.

This hotel is great if you want to fully immerse yourself in the Hutong environment. Staff went out of their way to help us which was great. The location of the hotel is in the middle of a long street. It's about a 10 min walk to the main road, so we ended up hiring bicycles to get around. Don't forget to go upstairs into the balcony/roof top if it's a sunny day and relax and unwind with a tea or coffee.
