The time spent at the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel was simply fabulous. I am a very experienced traveler and have been to dozens of countries, but I can confidently say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Every area here is thought out: a high-tech room of impeccable cleanliness with a pillow menu to choose from and 6 lighting options. Excellent dietary cuisine in the restaurant and a huge selection of dishes for breakfast. Very polite and customer-oriented attentive staff, they helped me with absolutely all my requests! But, of course, the highlight of the hotel is the impressive healing Ayurvedic center! The Head of the center, Dr. Balan is an experienced Ayurveda guru, with a tailored comprehensive program and the center's team, helped me restore my nervous system, restore immunity, and diagnose a chronic ailment that affected my quality of life, and all this just in 6 days! I mostly recommend this hotel to tired, overloaded residents of megacities, here you will simply find yourself in paradise! I will definitely come back more than once, huge thanks to the management and staff of the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel, who created this island of peace and relaxation on earth

We had an amazing staycation at this hotspring resort. I was very impressed with the customer service we recieved. Everyone was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help. The staff has clearly had 5 star training. I would like to make particular note of Mr. Lee at the front desk. Upon check-in, he served us and acknowledged that not all the staff spoke English and that we should contact him directly over Wechat if we needed anything. On several occassions I contacted him and he was prompt and curtious. He was a great ambassador for the hotel. For example, room service forgot chicken on on salad, and he promptly pologized and arranged for two new compelmentary salads to be sent (i believe this was an oversight as the hotel was very busy with a special chiristmas dinner that night). It is common in Beijing for hotel staff not to speak English, however we did found several memebers of staff that did. For example. when we went to the dining hall, they sent an English speaker over to help us. Further, the dining hall manager checked in with us and personally cleared plates away. Buffet breakfast was above average with western and chinese food. Also, when ordering room service, though they did not speak English, they sent someone to our room with a menu so that we could point to the items we wanted. Overall, the hotel is new and to Western standards of cleanliness and quality. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were with my 2 month old baby and my 85 year old father, all generations enjoyed our time. The hot springs were very clean (not always the case in China) and they were alongside swimming pools with kids climbing apparatice and water ball pit. It was also nice that there were complementary refreshments (snacks and drinks) at the hot springs. In the winter air, the outdoor hotsprings were great. Finally., though it wasnt a huge attraction, its nice to see the lammas, chicken and horses. Overall, I could not recommend this place more. I will defintely stay again.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel. The property is huge, with so many play areas for kids—which we loved the most. Our room wasn’t very big, but it had everything a small family needs, and most importantly, it was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping came every day to clean the bathroom and refill drinks, snacks, and other amenities free of charge. We were truly impressed by how generous this hotel is. Above all, what stood out the most was the outstanding hospitality. A staff member named 李世龙 took care of us throughout our 7-day stay. He went above and beyond in every possible way—bringing us snacks from time to time, baby-proofing our bed (something we hadn’t even thought about), and helping us call taxis. On one occasion, when our credit card didn’t work, he even paid digitally on our behalf. His thoughtfulness and kindness made a huge difference to our stay. As guests from Europe, the only small downside for us was that the hotel is very large, and it took some time to get familiar with the layout and understand how things work, especially regarding the dining areas. However, 李世龙 and the rest of the staff were always incredibly kind and patient, guiding us whenever we needed help. Even though it was the cold season in Beijing, our stay at this hotel gave us so many beautiful memories and truly warmed our hearts. Thank you so much for everything—we sincerely look forward to staying here again someday.

The location was easy to find. It was quieter since it is situated a little away from the activities at the base. However it is at the entrance of the Great Wall tram gate, so very convenient for an early start, or an evening tour of the Wall. My stay was midweek over Christmas and the whole town was relatively quiet. This meant the Hot Springs were also quiet which was spectacular! The rooms were a little chilly at night, but a soak in the springs and a little peach blossom wine solved it. I highly recommend this Inn. They were happy to use their translation apps to answer any questions.

Stayed 2 nights at the Commune by the Great Wall, an Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The resort is spread over a big acres of land within the Shuiguan area, also a short proximity to the renowned Badaling Great Wall. You have to reach there by car or by DiDi as there is no public transport to reach the Commune. This is a resort for those who wish to spend quality time, to seek refuge and to relax. The resort was designed by 12 individual renowned architects, each reflecting their own taste and styles, clearly demonstrated in the Communal Home you are staying. Each Communal Home consists of 5-6 rooms where you share common spaces such as Living, Dining, Kitchen and Courtyard with other fellow travellers. You will still have your own room and private bathroom similar to any other hotels or resorts. With the Communal Home, you can access these public area / communal area where often it is under utilised which is great for us. The room is immaculately adorned with the furniture styles of the Communal Home you have selected. There is Cantilever House (Red House), Terrace House, Suitcase House, Bamboo Wall, Forest House etc. My Bamboo Wall room is a little small in my opinion. The bedding is on a Tatami Platform. Bathroom is too big and it takes up too much space for the bedroom. There are limited spaces for the suitcase as we travel from afar. There is also no hook for clothing in the bathroom, no hook for the hand towel which is quite strange given that it is quite luxurious. We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2 with Shuiguan Great Wall Ticket and a High Tea. There is an outdoor swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. The pool is only open for 3 months during the summer months, not sure why the restrictions even though it is not a heated pool. During my visit, day time was hot and the air temperature was around 26-28 degrees. Though the water temperature may be way cooler, but if the pool is opened, we will probably take a dip. The breakfast is either a la carte or buffet depending on the hotel's occupancy rate. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel as well and the food is very good though it is on the pricey side. To move around the resort, you will either walk (depending on the location of your accommodation), it can be far away from the restaurant or the reception. You can call them for a car pick up. The driver 小宋 is a great asset to the property, so as our Housekeeper 小李(李鸿建), he was very attentive and observatory. He saw we have many medicine and supplements in the room and he gave us extra water and left us a note. Great initiative! In short, it is a very memorable stay and a very good hideaway.

Hotel room was great with ample space even for 3.Directly Connected to the hot spring which we can enjoy all day. Hence, you don't have to worry about cold weather. This hotel is near Daxing airport. Cost around 50 to 60 RMB by Didi app. Hotel breakfast has good selections, esp. The 煎饼 is nice. I also like the Chinese 小菜。Service is excellent , esp the waitress 杨丽彤 wo served our table. Good hotel choice for those who want to stay near airport but away from the buzzling city

Housekeeping is excellent and provides top notch service, on the other hand front office is not so customer focused and provide wrong information, also did not convey proper instruction on the ski passes and direction to the paleontology museum. Breakfast is mediocre for the star rating of this hotel.

Well-maintained hot spring japanese style hotel with excellent amenities and services. Great view to Simatai Great Wall from the room. The staffs are doing their best to fulfill your needs and with an excellent response time. Breakfast are perfect with a lot of variation and well presented. Hot spring both in room and public are well maintained and cleaned with all your needs to enjoy hot spring holiday. The gym is small but well maintained and enough to keep you fit during holidays. We think the hotel is worth every penny you spent.

Wonderful Family Stay at a Kid-Friendly Hot Spring Hotel We had an absolutely fantastic time during our recent stay with our baby and 7-year-old—this is hands down the most kid-friendly hotel we've ever experienced! The highlights for families are truly outstanding: an amazing indoor playhouse that's perfect for keeping children entertained (though the flooring could use a refresh for even better safety and comfort), and incredible hot springs that the whole family enjoyed relaxing in. The location is a big plus, situated close to an amusement park and shopping center, making it easy to pop out for meals, shopping, or extra fun without relying solely on the hotel dining. The on-site food was delicious, and our spacious room felt practical and luxurious, complete with a bathtub offering nice views. One fun touch was the roaming delivery robot: it added a modern, playful vibe that the kids loved watching. That said, a few areas could be improved for an even smoother experience. Check-in was unexpectedly crowded, taking around 40 minutes (the longest we've ever waited), so families might want to arrive outside peak times if possible. The in-room bathroom has frosted glass that's a bit too transparent for privacy when sharing with spouse or kids—more opaque partitioning would help. Since the hotel knew we were traveling with a baby and young child, it would have been thoughtful to have a crib ready or bed linens prepared for the sofa bed (we managed fine without, but it would elevate the family-friendly aspect). Additionally, it would be great if the robots could handle deliveries from external orders, even for a small fee. Overall, this hotel offered excellent value for money and delivered a memorable, enjoyable getaway for our family. We'd highly recommend it to other parents looking for a relaxing yet engaging spot—we'd happily return!

私湯很大，水温可自己調節，早上11點前都可以曬到陽光。房間整體不錯，開放式廚房，沒配餐具不方便，電視機偏小。 會展中心早餐一言難盡，沒啥好吃的，牛奶沒了20分鐘才加上、非常淡，咖啡也很差，果汁都是飲料，水果很早就沒了也不加，對不起這個價格，建議私湯酒店準備自己的早餐，別讓客人跑那麼遠。
