"First time solo travelling and staying at a hostel and im so happy I chose the Circus. Super convenient location (right across from trams and subway) so getting there from the airport was the easiest thing ever! Friendly staff and nice clean rooms, beds were so big and comfortable and the shared toilets/showers were always looking and smelling clean. Chilled atmosphere and they host daily nightly activities to help you mingle with our travellers. Overall I loved this place and would 100% stay again next time I visit 😊💕"

"I stayed at Generator Mitte in Berlin and overall the experience was okay, but the room was far too small for four people — it felt really cramped. There were also no hairdryers available to use, which was inconvenient. On Saturday night there was a party in the hotel, and it was extremely loud; we couldn’t sleep until it was over. The location is great, but the comfort and noise levels definitely need improvement."

"Lovely hostel and enjoyed sharing the room with the guests. Each dorm had its own kitchen and bathroom and it was clean and I felt safe. The bar downstairs is far from the rooms so it’s pretty quiet upstairs. As a guest you get discounts for meals and drinks when you stay at the hostel. The hostel is very close to Rosa-Luxembourg Platz which (right outside the door) which will enable you to take the U Bahn to Alexander platz and other places. The M8 Tram will take you to the Berlin Wall memorial and Berlin HBF and other surrounding areas."

"Clean, social and well located
EastSeven Hostel is clean, modern and well maintained. There are many young volunteers, and the staff are friendly and easy to talk to.
Breakfast is available from 6:00 to 10:00, mainly milk and cereals. The hostel has a strong social vibe, with movie nights, drinking games and quiz nights. Many guests go clubbing together. The female dorm stays quiet at night.
There are unisex bathroom and female-only bathroom, both with separate shower areas. The rooms are warm, with good heating, bedside lights and a hair dryer available (in the bathroom. ) — very comfortable in Berlin winter.
Public transport is close: about a 5-minute walk to the U-Bahn and 10 minutes to bus stops. The airport is around 1 hour away, and Berlin Central Station just over 20 minutes.
Tip: during U2 construction near Senefelderplatz, ride one extra stop toward Pankow and change back.
Overall, a solid choice if you want a clean, social hostel with easy transport access."

AAnonyymi käyttäjäRoom and bathroom were clean. The hostel provides large lockers and each bed had its own socket, which was convenient. However, the sockets were located at the level of the lower bunk, so if you're on the top bunk, you might need a longer charging cable (my Apple wire was long enough though).
There’s also a bus stop just a minute’s walk away. The location is quite good — about 20 to 35 minutes from most major attractions.
Overall, a great stay. Highly recommend!

However, I experienced some issues during my stay. Firstly, there were unpleasant smells in the bathroom, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that no female rooms were provided. This became a concern for me as there were some uncomfortable encounters with male guests, making it potentially unsafe for solo female travelers. Fortunately, after switching to another room, the situation improved.
If you are looking for a hostel in Berlin, I believe there are better options available that would provide a safer and more comfortable stay.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe location is very good, even on foot you're close to some main attractions. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and we appreciated the free water, tea, and coffee in the lobby. Our room had two single beds and, although not mentioned beforehand, we were pleased to find that it included a private bathroom. Towels were also provided.
However, the bathroom had no shower gel or soap at all. The room was meant to have underfloor heating, but we were cold for two nights due to a draught from the balcony door; only the last night was warm, and there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature. The beds creaked loudly with even the smallest movement. Finally, entering the room with the key card was surprisingly difficult — sometimes it took 2–4 minutes for the door to read the card, even after replacing it.

000100The hostel was alright, but the room feels quite small, I’m 5,5 and can’t even seat straight at the bottom bed, and to be absolutely honest, I believe the toilet signs should be more clear about male and female showers and toilet, would also recommend working on the cleanness of the shower room as well. On the other hand, the staff were all pretty friendly and willing to help, some doesn’t speak English and that did caused confusion to me but everything was good at the end. Over all I’m happy with my stay but probably won’t come back for the next time.

***LoverSometimes the front desk staff gives the key without checking, so in the case of female customers, it is a female-only room, but there are cases where the key of the mixed room is given even though they did not choose a mixed room. Other than that, it's a place that's attractive in terms of price, and it's safe and there's nothing stolen.

I stayed here as a solo traveler and had a really good experience. The hostel has a friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, and helpful staff. It’s easy to meet new people, and the location is very convenient for exploring the city. Definitely a good place to stay if you’re traveling alone and want both comfort and good vibes!

VVieraskäyttäjäThey provided a late check-in which was super convenient. The room was quite cosy and the bed could be small for a huge person (bunk-bed in a 4 person dormitory). For me, it was perfect for a few hours of sleep.
The bathrooms and washrooms are shared and accessible separately outside the rooms. Very clean and comfortable stalls for a nice shower.
The breakfast didn't have a lot of vegetarian options and it was a small spread, but enough for a quick bite in the morning.
The staff is all helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay for a short time and on a budget.
The location was also very convenient to reach from the S bahn and tram station.

There was a firealarm twice during my one-week-stay.
You can go there, it’s not too bad. I never saw another person in the shared bathroom for instance.
The reception is nice but the coffee small for its price. While you can hear in your room everything that is happening in front of it, I never had enough people on my floor to find it too disturbing. It’s a big building.
What I really liked was the cozy room, the desk, the arrangement of the light and the sink. I felt at home in the private space.
