"Excellent stay in Honglongjing hotel. Nested in the heart of Dali ancient town, you will experience Dali's vibrant atmosphere and bustling streets. The hotel's service is impeccable. Service was prompt and we were treated to Chinese tea ceremony. The villa rooms were very spotless.
The only downside was the road closures around the ancient town. This made it difficult to get to the hotel with luggage. You need a 5-10 min walk to get to the hotel as buses and cars are not allowed in the ancient town. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience"

A once off food and drinks stored inside the fridge were provided for the guests, included were yogurts and fruits. Breakfast provided were simple but delicious, there is no limit on how much you can eat. Staff were friendly, recommended to use WeChat for easy communication with the hotel staff and services. Free car ride to the entrance of the Dali Ancient town up to 11pm. Ride to other destinations are available with some charges. Overall experience was really satisfying."

"Excellent location across the road from Ancient Town west gate . Good location for drop offs and pick ups . It is on a main road but that didn’t cause any problems for me . The gentleman who assisted me when I arrived and left was very kind and helpful . Self service free laundry was excellent and clean . Room very clean with tea/ coffee making facilities . Breakfast and afternoon tea on offer but I didn’t have those as I was out exploring from early to late - soo much to see . Do check out the roof top area for relaxing , views , chill time . Beautiful gym if you so inclined ."

"We had a very great stay at Licheng Resort Hotel! The staff and boss were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and comfortable.
The location is excellent just a short walk to Dali Ancient City, very convenient yet still peaceful.
They prepared the specific room type we requested, and the room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We especially loved that the bathroom has an automatic bidet, such a great detail! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying as well.
They kindly received our packages on our behalf, which was very helpful. We also had an issue with our charger adaptor, and they generously lent us theirs. On top of that, they arranged an early morning drop-off to the station for us, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, a fantastic stay with warm hospitality. Highly recommended!"

"The ideal location across from Dali railway station and bus number 4 conveniently gets you to the ancient town and three pagodas. As a hotel it serves the basics...though as non English speaker issues are not easily resolved despite them saying they have multilingual staff (that means they use an app).
Rooms are not cleaned properly (dirty cups not replaced and amenities not restocked. The coffee/ tea area in the room is a cup and two tea bags - no stirrer sugar or milk.
Breakfast is chaotic - running out of good, dirty and not enough space to sit when what seems the whole hotel cones to breakfast at the same time...group booking I would suggest.
Gym is the biggest joke. All equipment is broken and I'm sure no management has checked it since it was purchased. Most of the time guest luggage is placed in front of the entrance to the gym as they eat in the restaurant!

We had to cancel one night out of our two-night stay due to travel delays and were prepared to accept the cost due to the short notice, but the hotel staff went out of their way to offer us a refund. The hotel is located very near the Erhai S bay and the view is perfect from our room. The room is very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom comes equipped with a smart toilet seat and outfitted with L’Occitane toiletries. The staff connected us to hotel concierge on WeChat, served complimentary mung bean dessert to our room and offered us tea everytime we had to wait for a cab at the lobby. Having stayed at two separate Hyatt locations during our trip, I must say that we experienced the best service at this hotel during our entire trip in Yunnan and am extremely impressed. We’ll definitely return if we ever visit Dali again.

衞生：每天都會有阿姨來打掃衞生，而且房間各處原本也都挺乾淨的
環境：當之無愧的海景房，即便哪個景點都不去，在酒店看着洱海放空，也是一種享受。大廳，位置也很寬敞，佈置很温馨，景色也很不錯
服務：有點遺憾，沒有品嚐到店裡的下午茶，因為下午的時間段都規劃了其他的行程，出門了。店裡還有洗衣和K歌棋牌服務等都沒來得及去體驗。每天早晨下樓都可以吃到阿姨煮的早餐，可以自己選擇吃什麼。
做了非常多的攻略選擇的這家酒店，價格相對來説會貴一點，五百多一晚，但物有所值，居住的體驗感和這趟遊玩都非常不錯！！從大理回來後，一直有戒斷反應，下次有時間還想在大理多玩幾天。
酒店的位置挺不錯的，樓下就是洱海的生態廊道，打車非常方便，下車就有定位點，網約車可以開進來。去大理古城，蒼山，鳳陽邑和下關市區都很近。
民宿老闆人也非常隨和，最後一天走的時候，我們是先把行李寄放在了前台，還出去玩了一趟再回酒店，老闆安排了送機。

VVincent8888Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient.
I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated.
Perfectly located just a few metres from the entrance to Dali Old Town, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. Mengling Yayuan Hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its warm service and excellent facilities.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe Pullman at Dali wa beautiful, modern and clean. Breakfast was good especially the Egg Benedict by the Chef. The restaurants recommended by hotel were great too. Everything was perfect except one key reminder for all travellers: we went there in December, but heating/airconditioning temperature was centralised and could not be adjusted despite the existence of adjustment buttons. As a result of that and the fact that our room was sun-facing, the room was very hot (28 degrees) and stuffy. What deserved a round of applause was the attitude of Eleven, the Manager of the Hotel. She changed us to a lake facing room and ensured that the airconditioner was off and the windows were opened the whole time. We appreciate her patience and professionalism - thank you.
Tip: if you dont think you would get used to really warm heating, get a lake-facing room and do not turn on the airconditioner.

SSoe HtikeFrom picking up from the train station, to daily amenities and services, it’s all exceptional. Breakfast spread was so wide it’s unlikely you’ll be able to try them all. Afternoon tea sets with fruits, cookies, tarts and cake was delicious. Attention to details like kid dental sets and in room baby shoe for my son was also so thoughtful. The view is nice, I wished I had booked longer to stay here. Will definitely come back this hotel again next time I come to Dali. The lady 程七七 from the hotel was also very helpful the entire time since before arrival with arrangements till check out. There’s also a small little playground area at lvl 2 of building 2 for small kids to play.

Tea time and breakfast were available to be served in the room upon request, and they also provided cleaning services for our clothes.
The team took really good care of us, recommending great food options around the resort and ensuring we were well looked after. They even helped to transport our luggage to the nearest pick-up point so that we could easily book a cab, which was greatly appreciated.
Another highlight was the photography service. The resort engages professional photographers, and we were able to take beautiful photos within the resort as lasting memories of our trip.
Overall, the service was exceptional, warm, and genuine. We felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality.
