"The design of the inn was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable, we had breakfast served during our stay as well. The staff were nice and helpful as well with moving our luggages and answering our questions. The location is also not far from the south gate of Dali Ancient City, and is just a short walk away from night markets and other food options. The only small complaints we had was that the toilet seat in our room was quite loose and room slippers were not replaced on our second and final night. Other than that, it was a great experience."

"Mike Butler's service is very good. Mike provided a lot of information to us about Dali tourism and also very quick responses to our needs via WeChat. "This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again."

"The receptionists were very friendly, and our stay was comfortable and pleasant throughout. We arrived quite late at night, around 11.10pm, and the receptionist kindly waited for us despite the reception officially closing at 11pm. He also helped to bring our luggages from the roadside to the hotel. We were truly grateful for their patience and thoughtfulness upon our arrival. The property is also home to three very cute and friendly cats roaming around the premises. They are incredibly approachable and definitely a delightful bonus for animal lovers. You can pet them to your heart’s content! The receptionists recommended a private hire driver who brought us to popular attractions for over nine hours. The driver was very friendly and helpful, ensuring that stall owners and roadside sellers did not overcharge us, which gave us great peace of mind. We were also recommended a halal mushroom hotpot nearby and it was truly delicious and comforting. :) Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly appreciated the attentive service and personal touches throughout our stay. Everything made us feel welcomed and well taken care of, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay."

"I had a soothing and comfortable short stay at 山隅一舍. The staff was very personable, accommodating, and kind, proactively offering tea/coffee and prepared fruit. The room was clean and had a great view of the courtyard. At check-in, she even offered to upgrade the two-bed room I had booked to a room with a single larger bed but I was happy to stay in the original room as it was already prepared. I stillfound it to be a very thoughtful offer. The beds were also equipped with heating mats, which offered great sleep in the winter weather. The neighbors have some roosters that rise early, but I found it quite charming and fitting for the “out of the big city” ambiance. I could honestly just sit in the courtyard all day watching the cat and the fish. It was truly a tranquil oasis in a town that sees many domestic and international tourists. The breakfast also tasted clean, fresh, and was promptly prepared by the host when I woke up. She was also happy to offer recommendations to both myself and other guests (I even overheard her going the extra mile, offering to pickup pastries for the other guests to try at their request). The B&B is situated very close to the ancient town without being overwhelming, which although quite commercialized, is still a fun stroll since it’s nearby. The location is also a short DiDi ride away from many sights along Erhai Lake. Dali is full of independently-run accommodations and shops like this, but this one stood out for its great hospitality and soothing environment. The cost performance was also great. A hidden gem for sure!"

"The Pullman at Dali wa beautiful, modern and clean. Breakfast was good especially the Egg Benedict by the Chef. The restaurants recommended by hotel were great too. Everything was perfect except one key reminder for all travellers: we went there in December, but heating/airconditioning temperature was centralised and could not be adjusted despite the existence of adjustment buttons. As a result of that and the fact that our room was sun-facing, the room was very hot (28 degrees) and stuffy. What deserved a round of applause was the attitude of Eleven, the Manager of the Hotel. She changed us to a lake facing room and ensured that the airconditioner was off and the windows were opened the whole time. We appreciate her patience and professionalism - thank you. Tip: if you dont think you would get used to really warm heating, get a lake-facing room and do not turn on the airconditioner."

"One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we stayed throughout our trip, this impeccably designed and maintained accommodation is very nature and antique themed, with a garden outside the room and dozens of tiny and large antiquities throughout. The highlight of course, are the owner’s three adorable and friendly cats who will come and let you pet and hold them. The rooms itself were also very beautiful, facing the Erhai Lake and you will get the chance to see the sunrise from the room. The owner was also extremely helpful in providing itinerary suggestions and helped us to book a driver straight to our next destinations and sorted out all the logistic issues with our next hotel. Highly recommend for the beauty of the hotel and the generosity of the owner and staff!"

"忘記拍圖了，房間很大很漂亮，早上可以曬太陽。 民宿在古城裡，但是不會太鬧市區，晚上很安靜。打車也能直接到民宿門口，出去逛也近。 大浴缸泡澡很舒服，空調有制熱功能，電熱毯。 着重表揚店家小哥，有事隨問立馬就有回覆。還借給我們電瓶車。"

"Very friendly stuffs, helping us with the luggages. Our room have a very scenic view as we chosen the family room. Our room comes with balcony. The staffs help us to order food online as we can't use international number. Overall a very good experience staying here, quite sad that we only stay 1 night, will come back again."
