Excellent service! We had to cancel one night out of our two-night stay due to travel delays and were prepared to accept the cost due to the short notice, but the hotel staff went out of their way to offer us a refund. The hotel is located very near the Erhai S bay and the view is perfect from our room. The room is very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom comes equipped with a smart toilet seat and outfitted with L’Occitane toiletries. The staff connected us to hotel concierge on WeChat, served complimentary mung bean dessert to our room and offered us tea everytime we had to wait for a cab at the lobby. Having stayed at two separate Hyatt locations during our trip, I must say that we experienced the best service at this hotel during our entire trip in Yunnan and am extremely impressed. We’ll definitely return if we ever visit Dali again.

寶藏酒店。座落在蒼山腳下。環境幽雅有格調，設計師的眼光太好了。房間很大，設施齊全，打掃得也非常乾淨。多對一服務，酒店的飯菜也非常好吃。服務人員温和細緻，會提前溝通到店時間，熱情接待，並且提前調好房間温度。讓旅途疲憊的我們感到安心舒心。本來衹訂了一天，但是太喜歡了，又續住了。酒店裡有一衹小貓，小孩子非常喜歡，追着和貓玩。以後再來大理這裏一定是我們的首選。（實際比照片漂亮多了）

I had an amazing stay at Anyu Dali, and their hospitality truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with our luggage and even coordinating with the Didi driver when we were rushing to catch our railway. They went above and beyond by providing weather updates for our next destination, Lijiang, and noticing that we were unprepared for the cold, they thoughtfully gave us heat pads. As first-time guests, we were treated to complimentary afternoon tea and breakfast, as well as four free laundry items for washing. The welcome gift was a lovely touch, and they even prepared a warm nighttime drink before bedtime, making our stay feel extra special. What really stood out was their attention to detail—even knowing that we would be staying at Anyu Lijiang next, they arranged to give us our farewell gift there, considering our luggage was already full. The level of service here surpasses that of many well-known hotels, and I will definitely choose Anyu again the next time I visit China. Highly recommended for those who appreciate genuine hospitality!

One great perk was the discount at the hotel restaurant for dinner, which made it easy to dine on-site. The food was really good and definitely worth trying, even without the discount. It added great value and convenience to the stay. The hotel also offers a photoshoot experience, which was a nice bonus. A few photos were included for free, with the option to purchase additional images if you wanted more—perfect for such a scenic setting. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we decided to stay an additional night in a different room, and it turned out to be excellent value for the price. The room was comfortable and well worth the cost. The staff were helpful, friendly, and very accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly and assisting us whenever needed. Overall, this is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a unique, photo-worthy hotel with great food, good value, and attentive service.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this resort and were very impressed by the level of service provided. The staff were extremely attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Tea time and breakfast were available to be served in the room upon request, and they also provided cleaning services for our clothes. The team took really good care of us, recommending great food options around the resort and ensuring we were well looked after. They even helped to transport our luggage to the nearest pick-up point so that we could easily book a cab, which was greatly appreciated. Another highlight was the photography service. The resort engages professional photographers, and we were able to take beautiful photos within the resort as lasting memories of our trip. Overall, the service was exceptional, warm, and genuine. We felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality.

I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality. The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. The balance is ideal for anyone seeking convenience without sacrificing tranquility. A special shout-out to the young lady working in the coffee shop up front—her coffee is unparalleled! My husband, who is a daily coffee drinker and rarely impressed, couldn’t stop raving about her brews. It was, hands down, the best coffee we had during our travels. The staff here deserve every bit of praise. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. However, what truly sets Sunyata apart is the incredible owner. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless. The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. Instead, he turned a difficult situation into one where we felt supported and cared for like family. Sunyata Homestay is truly one of a kind, and I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s a haven of comfort, care, and culinary delights. Thank you, Sunyata, for everything!

Wife and I booked a 360° cliff sea view room and we were extremely pleased with our stay. Location was good as the Villa was situated atop the hill which provided a magnificent view of ErHai with Chang Mountains as a beautiful backdrop. You can simply enjoy this view from the comfort of your bed or simply chill with coffee or tea on your balcony. The room has a large sunken bath that you can enjoy the view from as well and it fitted both of us very well as we are both quite tall. Bathroom facilities and amenities were very good as well. The owner, who was on-site, provided very nice touches to our stay like a simple Japanese afternoon tea, welcome fruit platter, tea tasting, dessert soup at bedtime which my wife liked, perfume testing station and even a Pu'er tea package as a gift. Special mention to all in terms of their excellent service levels from their front desk, chef, waiters, and even the owner, who were all genuinely friendly and welcoming. They sorted out whatever queries or little issues that we had during our stay and went well and beyond. Kudos to this young and vibrant team. Felt like a really nice homestay.
