I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights! We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions. The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day. The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination. I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage. Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers. The room is exactly you see from the website. Service is good. Loves their morning Soya Milk n noodle. Will certainly recommend this Minsu. Trust me you will love it. My friend n sister falls in the with the rooms. Comfy bed n pillow. Once again Thank you for your wonderful service.

I love this hotel so much. The hotel view is very great and the staff is very helping and friendly. Definitely will repeat. For the toilet very muslim friendly cause it has a bidet near the watercloset. It also serves free tea and orange. Very recommended.

Honest Review of Our Stay Near Erhai Lake, Dali 🇨🇳 As a Malaysian traveler exploring Yunnan, I stayed at a homestay apartment near Erhai Lake—and here’s my honest take: ✅ Inside the homestay: Very clean, well-furnished, and cozy. Everything was nicely prepared and felt like a proper home. The highlight was definitely the stunning lake view right from our window—perfect for sunrise lovers. 👩💼 Host experience: The homestay staff was incredibly friendly and understanding. She even arranged a free ride from the railway station, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. 🚧 Outside facilities: This is where it gets a bit mixed. The overall apartment complex (including the parking lot and elevator) felt poorly maintained, and the atmosphere at night was dark and slightly eerie, especially for solo travelers or couples. Many neighboring units seemed unoccupied, which added to the quiet, empty vibe. 📍 Location: Take note—this place is about 50 minutes from Dali Ancient City, so it’s not ideal if you’re planning to explore the old town daily. But if you want to relax by the lake and enjoy peace and views, it could work. We had a wonderful stay at the Mountain Resort Hotel close to Dali Old Town. The room was clean, and quiet and provided everything we could ask for. The staff welcomed us wholeheartedly and was always happy to help! Booking a shuttle to Dali Trains station was also very easy via the front desk. The breakfast was also delicious! While we stayed there, it consisted of a soup, porridge, sweet potatoes, maize and a boiled egg, as well as pickles on the side. Thank you very much for the pleasant experience!

Wife and I booked a 360° cliff sea view room and we were extremely pleased with our stay. Location was good as the Villa was situated atop the hill which provided a magnificent view of ErHai with Chang Mountains as a beautiful backdrop. You can simply enjoy this view from the comfort of your bed or simply chill with coffee or tea on your balcony. The room has a large sunken bath that you can enjoy the view from as well and it fitted both of us very well as we are both quite tall. Bathroom facilities and amenities were very good as well. The owner, who was on-site, provided very nice touches to our stay like a simple Japanese afternoon tea, welcome fruit platter, tea tasting, dessert soup at bedtime which my wife liked, perfume testing station and even a Pu'er tea package as a gift. Special mention to all in terms of their excellent service levels from their front desk, chef, waiters, and even the owner, who were all genuinely friendly and welcoming. They sorted out whatever queries or little issues that we had during our stay and went well and beyond. Kudos to this young and vibrant team. Felt like a really nice homestay.

Friendly and convenient hotel. Able to walk around the Dali Santorini area from the hotel. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Quick response to questions via WeChat group chat with the staff. Breakfast has 2 options - Chinese style with rice noodles or Western style with spaghetti. Both are very delicious. Would recommend staying here.

I truly enjoyed my stay here — to the point that I honestly had no heart to leave. The only downside is that the homestay is a little far from Dali Old Town, but once you see the view, you’ll realize it is absolutely worth it. The service here is top-notch. The butlers were exceptional — very accommodating, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. One thoughtful gesture that really touched me was when they packed my breakfast the night before, knowing I had to check out early the next morning. The photography session was another highlight. The photographers were so professional and amazing that I ended up purchasing all the photos, which says a lot about how happy I was with the experience. I will definitely come back again — and next time, I hope to stay longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views, and genuinely warm service.
