We highly recommend this hotel. When we first arrived we were greeted by whom I presume to be the owner of the hotel. He helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. Understanding that we know limited Chinese, he took the time to slowly show us the features of the room - including an automated voice command tool and a projector for watching movies. He also learned we have an early check out and spent time using WeChat to share places where we can find breakfast early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it's specious, modern, and well equipped. The facilities are modern and very well-kept. The location is perfect for us - it's a short 5 minute walk from the main tourist area of Dali Old Town - this means the area had more locals, quieter, and more authentic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Dali. 

The host is very accommodating. He arranged someone to help carry our luggage up to the hotel from the south gate entrance. The location is very convenient. Near a halal restaurant, near a halal bakery. Please try the flower pastry at the halal bakery near the guesthouse, its freshly baked and taste very good 😭😭😭😭 I regretted not buy more of it 😭😭 The hotel room is big and comfortable as advertised. Theres plenty of space to chill, eat, enjoy hot tea. And also to store our luggage. You can also do your laundry and dry your cloth outside when the sun is up. Oh i love Dali... Overall its a nice and enjoyable stay, thank you to the host for receiving us :)

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and honestly, it was one of the best places we stayed at during our trip to China. Everything was spotless, so clean, fresh, and pleasantly scented. The modern design is tasteful and well thought out, and it feels like every detail was considered. The rooms are spacious, the bed is incredibly comfortable with crisp, clean linens, and there’s even a huge projector screen on the wall. One entire side of the room is a window, flooding the space with natural light. Simply perfect! The staff were welcoming, kind, and always willing to help. While they don’t speak English, communication was very easy through a translation app. In short, this hotel is a dream. We highly, highly recommend it. You won’t regret staying here!

I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights! We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions. The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day. The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination. I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage. Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers. Wishing this humble, hardworking, and generous family all the very best. Thank you for making our stay so memorable — we are truly happy to have formed this friendship. 🌟 我在马先生的民宿度过了一段非常愉快的时光。从我们到达的那一刻起，他就以真诚的热情和亲切的款待迎接我们。在整个入住期间，他无微不至地照顾我们的需求，甚至多次不辞辛劳，只为确保我们住得舒适安心。我们非常喜欢这里，以至于把原本的行程延长到整整六晚！ 我们深深被马先生的慷慨与体贴打动。他每天都会关心我们的状况，早上问我们睡得好不好，确认我们是否还需要任何东西。这是一家家庭式经营的民宿，马家每一位成员都非常友善、热情、亲切。为了照顾我女儿对猫过敏的情况，马先生还特意将自家猫咪隔离在公共区域之外——这一点我们非常感激。 其中一个最难忘的地方，是我们与马家人之间那些富有意义的交流。我们分享彼此的国家故事、交换文化见闻，也从对方身上学到了很多。这些真诚的交谈让我们的住宿不再只是简单的旅途，而是一次真正走进彼此生活、情感交流的体验。 房间的设施也非常优秀——温暖的毯子、电热毯、新安装的空调、毛巾、吹风机和热水壶一应俱全。每天早上，马太太都会为我们准备一碗热腾腾、充满心意的面，让我们在温暖中开始美好的一天。 地理位置也非常方便：靠近苍山,三月街 ,大里古城，耳海，周围就是山景与湖景。我们特别喜欢每天清晨坐在顶楼阳台，吹着清凉的晨风，欣赏宁静的山景。马太太还推荐了几家美食，我们都吃得非常满意。 在这里，我们还遇到了来自法国的旅客，马家人通过翻译软件和他们沟通毫无障碍，可见他们接待国际旅客的经验十分丰富。我们也根据马先生的推荐去了丽江——是宽敞舒适的九座车，从民宿直接接送，非常方便。 我真心、强烈地推荐这家民宿给前来旅行的朋友们。我非常感谢他们在我们整个旅程中给予的善意与温暖，甚至直到离开的那一刻，马先生仍亲自帮我们搬运行李。 离开前一定要和马家人合照一张，也千万别错过和马先生儿子聊天的机会——他非常积极地想和旅客练习英文。 衷心祝福这个朴实、勤劳、又充满善意的家庭一切顺利。感谢你们让我们的旅程如此难忘——我们真的很开心能与您们结下这段珍贵的缘分。🌟

衞生：這方面沒的説，庭院內和房間內都收拾的很乾凈 設施：挺齊全的，該有的都有了 服務：房東一家都很熱情，入住當天提前聯繫我們，加了微信給我們發攻略和位置，因為出租車衹能開到村口，姐姐還騎電車去接我們，幫忙拿了行李，給我們介紹周邊的吃的和玩的，還幫我們聯繫了租車的（租車是為了騎去大理古城哦，不是去洱海，洱海騎行還是建議去廊道里麪騎那種掃碼的共享電動車），退房當天也是房東大叔早起幫我們送行李，非常感謝！而且入住的時候還給我們升級了房間，比我們原來定的要大很多（圖片是我們升級後的房型，帶帷幔的大床房） 位置：才村這個地方還是很方便的，生活氣息比較濃厚，吃喝玩樂都比較齊全，從民宿出發步行3分鐘就能到洱海邊，看日出簡直太方便了，晚上去才村夜市，早上去吃早餐，都是衹需要步行8分鐘，地理位置很優越。 才村夜市上有一個帥氣小哥賣舂雞腳舂芒果，美味爽口而且很乾凈（反正是我見過的最乾淨的了），當晚直接幹掉兩份！

The Chunrili is at attractive hotel with open hallways and a courtyard in the center, featuring a charming stream and garden, where kids can have lots of fun and adults can admire the charm. I had a very divided experience. My room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom large and hot water ample. The A/C worked fine. All good. But... The rooms have essentially a wall of glass (big windows) facing the open hallways and the courtyard. This means any noise at all echoes up the stone walls of the courtyard and is not dampened at all. My room also lacked a desk and a chair, both of which I missed greatly. Finally, on one especially rainy night (rain being quite common in DaLi), I was awaken by staff pounding on my door: my room was flooding! Water in the open hallway was seeping under my door and onto my floor. I've never experienced the like. And since no luggage rack is provided, either, it was pure luck that my bags weren't soaked. This flooding must happen rather often, and is a serious design flaw. Now, the owners were helpful and charming generally, providing our long-stay group free transport from the DaLI train station. And they keep a fleet of electric scooters that guests may borrow and use to get around. That was wonderful. Finally, the Chunrili is not near much, and in particular, restaurants are rather rare in its neighborhood. Those that exist I would recommend, but more variety was wanted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a truly wonderful stay at Dali Spirited Away Panoramic Sea View Guesthouse. The caretaker/manager was extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome from the start. I’m especially thankful for his help in contacting my DiDi driver to retrieve my mobile phone that I accidentally left in the car — his assistance really went above and beyond. The room was great — clean, comfortable, and well maintained — and the panoramic Erhai Lake view was absolutely stunning, making the stay even more special. Waking up to such a beautiful view was a highlight of my trip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Dali. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great views and excellent hospitality!

離大理古城及洱海有點遠。周圍餐飲、購物不太方便。酒店服務還不錯。衞生狀況不錯。房間設計也比較時尚。智能座便器比較好用。停車就在房前屋後，空間較狹窄，容易剮蹭。進出道路本身就不寬闊，兩邊都停了車，中央衹有一條狹窄的通道，非常容易剮蹭。

Room and bed is clean. There are a few washing machines, dryers, and water dispensers all free to use. It also has a movie room and karaoke room if you ever need one. Location wise, it is located in an alley right infront of Dali's south gate, very convinient. Walking a few hundred meters outside you will be able to access Dali's bus system, easy to travel back to the railway station. However, the toilets are abit messy and moldy, but still clean nevertheless. One thing I dislike was even thought it is a non smoking room, smokers would often open the doors and smoke right outside the room, filling the room with cigarettes smell. Toilets would also occasionally smell due to the cigarette buds thrown into the toilet bins. But aside from that, it is a very good hostel that is worth for your money.

We rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages. However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang. After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
