"Quiet and very nicely designed right in the middle of a bustling street!! Perfect to stay to explore Dali old town by foot. We came on spring festival weekend and Dali was quite busy but this hotel was perfectly located and very quiet and calm. The staff is great too. Super helpful and gave us great recommendations for drinks and activities around. The breakfast was also delicious with great coffee, local pastries and porridge. The room was spacious, very clean and totally quiet even if the street is noisy. Totally recommend!! Great price quality ratio."

"The design of the inn was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable, we had breakfast served during our stay as well. The staff were nice and helpful as well with moving our luggages and answering our questions. The location is also not far from the south gate of Dali Ancient City, and is just a short walk away from night markets and other food options. The only small complaints we had was that the toilet seat in our room was quite loose and room slippers were not replaced on our second and final night. Other than that, it was a great experience."

"The hotel is located near many attractions such as the Dali Museum as well as Erhai Park, making it an ideal location to stay. The location is also accessible to many eateries, restaurants, supermarkets and even pharmacies, making it convenient for everyone including families. Best thing about this hotel is its service and cleanliness. The male staff was very friendly and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was as smooth as possible. From replenishing used supplies to room upgrades and even offered to drive us to the railway station. Without him, the hotel would be different. The hospitality shown by the staff would be number 1 reason for me to stay at this hotel again."

"This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again."

"Very nice room and perfect location, easy access to ancient town, there's a shop that rents e-bikes nearby so you can rent and save your energy by riding e-bikes around the ancient town. Room is spacious, and beds are comfy. There's also a jacuzzi. Kids really love it!"

"If I could, I’ll give a score of 100/10! This is such a fantastic experience staying here. What is so impressive is the SERVICE and the actual room facilities. The staff is soooooooo friendly and helpful - he basically helped me plan my itinerary every day because I came with zero plans and only wanted to relax. He helped me to plan my route and book a car for day use. And the driver is amazing too - he brought me to try 扎染 tie dye even when I didn’t know anything about it. He made sure I went to a local experience instead of expensive tourist trap. And he’s great at taking photos too! Back to the staff. He would understand what I’m interested in and then give suggestions that I’ll like. Amazing. And there is even a whole list of things to watch out for when visiting all the tourists attractions. When you arrive, they’ll also message you all the places to eat. There is also a convenience store right downstairs if you want to buy anything. They also gives you instructions if you want food delivery. So detailed!! And they are so proud of the fact that their rooms are exactly what it looked like on the app. So clean so new so amazing. Look at that view! You wake up to the view of the vast sea. And there is a giant bath tub for you to experience soaking in bubble bath (also given) at the same time. The toilets are always the make or break when travelling. And the toilets are amazing again. AUTOMATIC flush and the seat cover automatically opens and close. My goodness. And the shower has different outlets if you want some form of water acupuncture 🤣 very modern. And they even have a towel dryer/heater!!! You can dry anything small and it’ll be dry and crisp. Normally hotel pillows give me headaches. But not here! They have the latex foam pillow and also the normal fluffy pillows. It is so suitable and comfortable for me who is accustomed to memory foam pillows. How can accommodation get so detailed and excellent? Breakfast is another wonderful experience. You go the dining area and an aunty cooks porridge or noodles or meat buns or corn or sweet potatoes and serve them to you. There is even soya bean drink and fritters and lots of sauces and seasonings and small bites. And there is unlimited bottled beverages like honey jasmine tea or oolong tea and fruits and coffee. How do they even make a profit? And there is even a place to rest and relax and drink tea if you come with friends. I can’t wait to come back here with more friends and family and let me experience what I enjoyed so much here. Thank you to the staff and to the boss! 😁😍"

"The room is decent. Frontdesk is helpful and kind. They even help to carry my heavy luggage ( upon my request) as the taxi drop off point is 100m away due to a road repair works affecting its normal access. The hotel rooftop balcony is perfect to see the lake and to watch sunrise and sunset. To get good dinner meal options, I still recommend to travel to the ancient town. The durian (Thai and Vietnamese) in dali and Lijiang are the cheapest around in the country that I can find correct at the time and season of travel."

"Excellent Stay — Highly Recommended I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, service, and great value. Scenic Views: The room offered a beautiful, relaxing view — perfect for unwinding after a long day. The windows let in plenty of light and framed the surroundings beautifully. View from room is excellent. Friendly, Attentive Service: The staff were warm, professional, and very helpful. From check-in to daily requests, service was prompt and courteous. Comfortable Rooms: The room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable — ideal for both relaxation and work. Breakfast: The breakfast selection featured tasty Chinese dishes and was satisfying. Adding a few Western options would make the buffet even more appealing, but the current offerings were fresh and enjoyable. Overall Experience: Great location, pleasant atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. A near-perfect stay with only a small suggestion to broaden the breakfast variety. Would definitely stay again."

"We loved everything about our stay here! Makes our experience in Dali so much better. Worth mentioning: - the staff contacted us and guided us even before we arrived there, they shared the location for Didi drop off (since cars can’t go through) - the staff is very helpful — they picked us up and dropped us off to the Didi pickup point and carried our luggage upstairs. They also answered very fast when we asked questions on wechat - the room is beautiful and the hotel is right in front of the lake - the room is complete with all amenities - there are a few halal (qing shen) places nearby and walking distance (the staff told us about this!) - bike rental is just downstairs, and scooter/snoopy scooter rental is like 500m++ away to the left - they gifted us rose tea as a souvenir when we checked out - they let us know we can check in early, right after our room is being cleaned by the cleaner Things to consider (but not a dealbreaker for me) - you need to take the stairs to get to the room; might not be suitable if you have elderly traveling with you or you have knees issues - the walls are not sound proof - the provided disposable towels; you need to bring yours if you prefer thicker towels All in all, my experience was so great. The price might be slightly on the higher end, but it’s so worth it."
