Had an amazing stay at Chalet Ivy, a new modern ryokan with traditional feels. The room is very spacious with comfortable modern amenities, with an in-room private onsen, with unobstructed snow covered views. Dinner and breakfast here are one of the best, the sequencing of dishes and the amount are just right. Your get to explore various dishes and each dishes are so meticulously done. One of the best perks here are the lounge, the snack bar and drinks bar are awesome. Stocks with best Sapporo snack and drinks for you to grab at any time. Definitely one of the best resort ever, will return for sure.

The environment of the hotel can be described as extremely pleasant, and the service is also extremely thoughtful and considerate. The room is even more magnificent and exquisitely beautiful. The feeling of soaking in the hot spring is really extremely comfortable and pleasant. However, the chair that is directly facing the window really makes people feel extremely uncomfortable. It is really stiff, and the back of the chair is pitifully short, and it simply cannot give the due support to the head and neck.

After spending six days in MGallery Hotel Sapporo, I can safely say this is not an ordinary hotel. Reception at 5 pm was professional, efficient and friendly. I didn’t have to wait. Well done. Takako and Cindy provided a warm, informative and professional service. The concierge was helpful and welcoming. Very useful in a freezing outdoor climate - thank you Alex.  My room was as requested, 524. I booked a king room and it met my expectations. The design is lovely.  The bathroom is not huge, but is well appointed with a bath and a separate shower. The room is very quiet and I had a very pleasant sleeping experience.  The hotel and my room are in excellent condition, with a high standard of decor and presentation. Clearly recently renovated. The design is first class. It combines a beautiful Japanese style, with classical and traditional designs. The result is very pleasant - Chic! WiFi worked well. The room airconditioning was a little too hot for me, so I turned it off, and that was fine for me. The two guest’s lifts are fast and worked well over the six floors.  House keeping is also of a high standard as you would expect from a high end Accor hotel. This is especially so in Japan where service is an art form.  I had access to the executive lounge.  It was a good experience. It provides a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, and the food quality is nice. The chefs are friendly and caring, thank you James. The lounge staff are first class. Thank you very much to Yokiku, Kaumini and chief Minoru for your attentive and excellent service. I appreciated your kind service.  The only negative I am sorry to say is the occasional noisy foreigners who don’t appreciate the quiet, polite, refined and subtle Japanese culture.  The location is convenient, and is about 15 minutes easy walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc, but rather the city landscape. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to a variety of wonderful shopping areas.  Additionally, there are major shopping malls in the Shinkansen station area. Nearby, you can find many restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food.  Taxies are available at the hotel entrance. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples, museums and regional attractions. Ms Takako provided excellent suggestions.  To be fair, I read the Hotel’s web reviews. I noticed that the negative comments were from years ago, before the hotel became an Accor hotel two years ago. I noticed most of the more recent reviews are positive.  A special thank you to all the other warm staff for their excellent and polite hospitality. Having experienced hotels in every continent, this one stands out. The service and attention to detail is in a class of its own. Clearly, this is a special Hotel - undoubtedly, due to the hotel’s leadership.   Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the General Manager, Mr Ted Kitahara, and his management team. Mr Ted introduced himself to me by chance. He made me feel very welcome, and was most kind to enlighten me about the hotel’s design and its interesting history. I hope to meet the Japanese architect one day! Overall, an extremely pleasant and first-class experience. I look forward to visiting again.  Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic hotel nestled @ the bustling city centre of Ssukino where the prominent Nikka OOH billiboard is. The hotel is situated right above Susukino train station 🚉 & within Cocono Shopping Mall for easy access & great convenience to travel to anywhere in Sapporo. Arrived @ the perfect timing to indulge in the reowned 🇯🇵 Sapporo snow & ice festival 2026 ⛄️❄️🧊 . The place come into life @ night with iconic ice sculptures, diverse entertainment & diverse F&B options. Best thing is it’s merely 250m away from the Tanukikoji Shopping Street with countless Sapporo Beauty Stores & Don Donki. The hotel is modern, stylish & contemporary, boasting clean & comfy room for good slumber dreams 🛌 . An incredible discovery was the buffet breakfast 🍳🍞 was definitely thr best ever which we have savoured in Sapporo, with ingeniously decorated F&B offerings to feast your senses. stayed here for two days ，the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you. 1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall. 2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night. 3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here. 4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.

Travelled with a group of 3 adults and found it hard to find a room with reasonable price. I emailed in and realise they are open for 3 guest as long as u pay additional fare (5,500/night) for a sofa bed which was reasonable. I enjoyed the stay throughly especially the onsen facility. I will definitely come back again!

Right outside the hotel there is a bus stop and access to the property is convenient (but I drive from Sapporo anyway). The room overall condition met expectation although I am quite disappointed that they only assign me to the second floor, and literally people from outside can see me if I don’t lower the blinds. There are 4 solo onsen rooms available for private use and it is recommended that the usage time stays at 40 mins. For the onsen, the public one is good although it is relatively small, and can be crowded sometimes. Overall, you come to Jozankei because you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and I enjoy my time there. But consider how much I pay for the room and board with virtually no view, there are plenty options out there that could get the most bang from the bucks. Verdict: Nice ambience but not worth for money

Best of the Best Hotel in Sapporo location is the best specially when u have a lot luggage the airport bus limousine is infront of the hotel near everything like sapporo clock tower , nijo market , shopping mall etct , sapporo train station outside the hotel 1 minute to walk

I really love this hotel, near food places and the train station. What more is the hotel is very spacious! Would recommend this to everyone if they love it further away from town area

The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.
