"This hotel is in the middle of the ancient town. It’s perfect once you get in. Time your arrival during the day and not at night. People walk on the streets to check out the vendors and they do not close the street to vehicles. You could spend 15 minutes stuck in one spot on the way to the hotel during the peak night hours. The owner was kind enough to open the garage gate when we would return late at night to avoid the night traffic. Do it yourself laundry is on the top floor with a place protected from rain to hang dry your clothes. The restaurant serves a simple Chinese style breakfast only. There is no swimming pool. The little pool is just for aesthetics. If you book the two room suite, it’s on the fourth floor and there are no elevators. Remember that Dali is higher in elevation, so it could be a bit of a strain if you have any respiratory issues. But, the staff is friendly and they will help you to carry your luggage up. Wonderful amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, and even protection for couples who need. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful weather and charm of Dali."

"The Pullman at Dali wa beautiful, modern and clean. Breakfast was good especially the Egg Benedict by the Chef. The restaurants recommended by hotel were great too. Everything was perfect except one key reminder for all travellers: we went there in December, but heating/airconditioning temperature was centralised and could not be adjusted despite the existence of adjustment buttons. As a result of that and the fact that our room was sun-facing, the room was very hot (28 degrees) and stuffy. What deserved a round of applause was the attitude of Eleven, the Manager of the Hotel. She changed us to a lake facing room and ensured that the airconditioner was off and the windows were opened the whole time. We appreciate her patience and professionalism - thank you. Tip: if you dont think you would get used to really warm heating, get a lake-facing room and do not turn on the airconditioner."

"This was a really nice hotel. the people working here are incredible, from the cooks who help make breakfast, to the front desk staff who patiently answered all our questions. My phone broke and they patiently took a look and recommended a few places where we could get it fixed. It is a little further out from the old town, but very easy to get a taxi or Didi from this location and because it is further out, it was very quiet. They also made sure we had some water and a few snacks before we left for the next part of our trip, so thank you very much! Breakfast noodles were also quite nice and delicious!"

"We decided to run away from the busy Dali area and stay one night in Xizhou. Best decision ever. The village itself is amazing, we walked around the village and also visited the lakeside. The hotel is an old mansion and it’s very well kept considering it has more than 500 years. The room is super spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would love to visit again!"

"This is the 2nd time with Homestay. I didn’t expect too much since 1st Homestay didn’t leave me a good impression. However, it’s totally different story here. Staff are extremely friendly , services are perfect, amazing food, bedding is comfortable, pet friendly, nice mountain view from room windows directly, very close to Dali old town. A lot of tour tips are also shared, like local cuisine, nice places to check out. Ever remind you about safety everyday. What else more can you expect! I’m happy to stay here but unfortunately the trip has to move on. We will see each other again."

"If I could, I’ll give a score of 100/10! This is such a fantastic experience staying here. What is so impressive is the SERVICE and the actual room facilities. The staff is soooooooo friendly and helpful - he basically helped me plan my itinerary every day because I came with zero plans and only wanted to relax. He helped me to plan my route and book a car for day use. And the driver is amazing too - he brought me to try 扎染 tie dye even when I didn’t know anything about it. He made sure I went to a local experience instead of expensive tourist trap. And he’s great at taking photos too! Back to the staff. He would understand what I’m interested in and then give suggestions that I’ll like. Amazing. And there is even a whole list of things to watch out for when visiting all the tourists attractions. When you arrive, they’ll also message you all the places to eat. There is also a convenience store right downstairs if you want to buy anything. They also gives you instructions if you want food delivery. So detailed!! And they are so proud of the fact that their rooms are exactly what it looked like on the app. So clean so new so amazing. Look at that view! You wake up to the view of the vast sea. And there is a giant bath tub for you to experience soaking in bubble bath (also given) at the same time. The toilets are always the make or break when travelling. And the toilets are amazing again. AUTOMATIC flush and the seat cover automatically opens and close. My goodness. And the shower has different outlets if you want some form of water acupuncture 🤣 very modern. And they even have a towel dryer/heater!!! You can dry anything small and it’ll be dry and crisp. Normally hotel pillows give me headaches. But not here! They have the latex foam pillow and also the normal fluffy pillows. It is so suitable and comfortable for me who is accustomed to memory foam pillows. How can accommodation get so detailed and excellent? Breakfast is another wonderful experience. You go the dining area and an aunty cooks porridge or noodles or meat buns or corn or sweet potatoes and serve them to you. There is even soya bean drink and fritters and lots of sauces and seasonings and small bites. And there is unlimited bottled beverages like honey jasmine tea or oolong tea and fruits and coffee. How do they even make a profit? And there is even a place to rest and relax and drink tea if you come with friends. I can’t wait to come back here with more friends and family and let me experience what I enjoyed so much here. Thank you to the staff and to the boss! 😁😍"

"The title of the room was a bit misleading, i filtered the room in the ‘leisure smart room (with view)’ and saw that people got the room overlooking the bridge but when i booked and checked in, the view was actually another block of building like in my picture. 🥲🥲🥲 Was really disappointed of the misleading title. So not sure what is actually the ‘view’ here. But other than that, all other amenities are great. The host and family was very welcoming. They offered tea and even offered lunch. We politely said no bcs we already had lunch before. I wish this hotel will get its exposure it needs. It’s really good aside from the misleading room title."
