We were welcomed by a bunch of adorable cats!! Cats were definitely the highlight of our stay here 🐱 They also have a very beautiful garden with well maintained amenities. View from our room was great too, very spacious room with a wide range of facilities including mini clothes dryer, wooden foot bath tub, toiletries (toothbrush, comb, shampoo, towel etc.). Location was not bad, near 大理古城南门 but other tourist spots were quite distant so we had to take didi, breakfast was okay. Overall, worth every penny, would visit again (for the cats) 😸

This was the perfect start to our first trip to China — the hotel was right beside erhai lake and the views from the hotel cafe and the rooms were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and facilities modern and good (particularly the hotel cafe which serves coffee (each guest can redeem 1x coffee and unlimited cornetto ice creams and snacks from the cafe). It is also a ~6 minute walk away from a family-run bicycle shop where tourists can rent a bike from (20 元 for a full day) (there are rent-as-you-go bikes along the area too but they require a Chinese ID card in order for you to book). The service was also excellent and all the staff were very attentive. Each time we returned to the hotel, the staff would greet us with an option to get a bowl of rice noodles (mi xian 米线） or chinese dessert, depending on what time we arrived. There were also free flow fruits (some small apple-like fruit and cherry tomatoes) in the hotel lobby that was stocked through the day. Fantastic stay. We will definitely return if we come back to the area. (We had entered another hotel further down the same stretch for a coffee and that other hotel’s coffee and cleanliness paled in comparison; made us very thankful that we had booked this hotel instead). 10/10!

The hotel is situated in a quiet area. The service provided is absolutely impeccable. The clerk was very attentive and always active. The rooms are newly renovated and exquisite in presentation. The toilet is the best I have ever used and extremely high end. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the Cangshan mountains from across lake Erhai. Even the inside rooms are well presented and suitable for relaxing. The bed and pillows are some of the best I have ever used.

Very nice couple who owned the Inn. Room is very big, air con and water pressure and hot water works well. Room come with kettle, microwave, small fridge and air cleaning equipment and satellite tv. Simple morning Breakfast were excellent with coffee bean machine , eggs, cold dish and carb like bun or pancakes. Free bus coach for 1 pxn , abd complimentary 1 way fetch from railway station and airport if stay more than 2/3days. Complimentary motor car for rent 1 time per stay as well. Can ride up to only 50km thus please note, I did not use as traffic can be challenging in old town. Lastly it has a washing machine as well which I did not use. Excellent place to stay and chill in Dali and I strongly encourage you and your family to stay here. Note no elevator thus if you have a large luggage, please request for ground level.

We stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

We had the pleasure of staying at Erhai Xinglai Lakeview Inn in picturesque Dali, and our experience was nothing short of magical. From the moment we booked, the staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality, calling us to arrange for complimentary pickup from the airport. Important tip: Dali's cobblestone streets can be challenging for luggage, so be sure to call the hotel in advance to arrange for their free pickup service. Upon arrival, we were treated to a delightful tea break, complete with fresh fruits and fragrant rose tea. Witnessing the chef meticulously prepare the fruit platter for 30 minutes was a testament to the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to excellence. It's clear that every aspect of our stay was crafted with love. The hotel offers thoughtful amenities, including: - Photography package for capturing memories - Nighttime milk service, delivering warm milk to your doorstep before bed - Cozy library with an impressive selection of adult fiction, non-fiction, and children's books Near the hotel, there are live singing performances in the evenings, featuring talented vocalists performing ********* and Chinese classics (we enjoyed listening from the comfort of our room!) The staff's warm hospitality, combined with the hotel's charming ambiance and thoughtful touches, made our stay in Dali truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Erhai Xinglai to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat in this beautiful town.

This hotel is in the middle of the ancient town. It’s perfect once you get in. Time your arrival during the day and not at night. People walk on the streets to check out the vendors and they do not close the street to vehicles. You could spend 15 minutes stuck in one spot on the way to the hotel during the peak night hours. The owner was kind enough to open the garage gate when we would return late at night to avoid the night traffic. Do it yourself laundry is on the top floor with a place protected from rain to hang dry your clothes. The restaurant serves a simple Chinese style breakfast only. There is no swimming pool. The little pool is just for aesthetics. If you book the two room suite, it’s on the fourth floor and there are no elevators. Remember that Dali is higher in elevation, so it could be a bit of a strain if you have any respiratory issues. But, the staff is friendly and they will help you to carry your luggage up. Wonderful amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, and even protection for couples who need. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful weather and charm of Dali.

I had a soothing and comfortable short stay at 山隅一舍. The staff was very personable, accommodating, and kind, proactively offering tea/coffee and prepared fruit. The room was clean and had a great view of the courtyard. At check-in, she even offered to upgrade the two-bed room I had booked to a room with a single larger bed but I was happy to stay in the original room as it was already prepared. I stillfound it to be a very thoughtful offer. The beds were also equipped with heating mats, which offered great sleep in the winter weather. The neighbors have some roosters that rise early, but I found it quite charming and fitting for the “out of the big city” ambiance. I could honestly just sit in the courtyard all day watching the cat and the fish. It was truly a tranquil oasis in a town that sees many domestic and international tourists. The breakfast also tasted clean, fresh, and was promptly prepared by the host when I woke up. She was also happy to offer recommendations to both myself and other guests (I even overheard her going the extra mile, offering to pickup pastries for the other guests to try at their request). The B&B is situated very close to the ancient town without being overwhelming, which although quite commercialized, is still a fun stroll since it’s nearby. The location is also a short DiDi ride away from many sights along Erhai Lake. Dali is full of independently-run accommodations and shops like this, but this one stood out for its great hospitality and soothing environment. The cost performance was also great. A hidden gem for sure!

酒店環境特別特別好，位置在雙廊的玉幾島上，位置極佳，離楊麗萍老師的太陽宮月亮宮特別特別近，在屋裡可以喂海鷗，床上可以賞風景，超級棒，尤其酒店的服務太好了！都是一對一管家式服務，特別是服務我們的小張同學，非常細緻周到熱情有禮貌，提前迎接，還送我們到停車場，為孩子準備的可愛的小拖鞋和牙刷，精心準備的下午茶，太滿意了！酒店公共區域也為客人開放，在海邊喝杯咖啡，吃點零食，太棒了！

I truly enjoyed my stay here — to the point that I honestly had no heart to leave. The only downside is that the homestay is a little far from Dali Old Town, but once you see the view, you’ll realize it is absolutely worth it. The service here is top-notch. The butlers were exceptional — very accommodating, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. One thoughtful gesture that really touched me was when they packed my breakfast the night before, knowing I had to check out early the next morning. The photography session was another highlight. The photographers were so professional and amazing that I ended up purchasing all the photos, which says a lot about how happy I was with the experience. I will definitely come back again — and next time, I hope to stay longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views, and genuinely warm service.
