This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. It feels like a Ritz-Carlton but with even warmer, more personal service. The corridors are lined with plush carpets, the materials and finishes are all rich and top-notch, and my child immediately described it as “posh” — I’d add that it’s also very zen, peaceful and quiet. The room is generously sized, quiet and very zen. The hotel is new, modern and “smart”: when you get out of bed in the morning, a soft foot light comes on automatically so you don’t have to scramble for switches. The kids loved pressing buttons to close the curtains, and I liked being able to choose between work lighting and cosy ambience at a single touch. Service here is outstanding. Everyone is fully dedicated, responsible, warm and kind — and very prompt. Nothing is ever too much trouble; everything is handled politely, respectfully and thoughtfully, so you really feel safe and well looked after. The team also has a lovely sense of humour, which adds to the comfort and makes the stay feel relaxed and friendly rather than stiff. On top of that, they even helped me plan safe and cost-effective travel options — such amazing, value-added service. Special thanks to Xiaoyu and Xiaoliu, who were excellent throughout. Xiaoyu especially made the extra effort to be promptly on hand via WeChat, helping with any queries even after hours — it honestly felt like having a friend there with us. The rest of the team were equally attentive and caring, and I noticed everyone would greet the guests, including the cleaners. It is a very well-run hotel: not just following instructions but offering real service from the heart. When we checked out, they even surprised us with bags of lovely snacks, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was wonderful. The spread has everything one could ever need: noodles and omelettes cooked on the spot with a rich meat stew, a choice of porridges (I especially liked the millet), plus Western and kid-friendly options, and many different drinks to choose from. Insider tip: don’t miss the croissant — it has egg custard inside as a filling! The toiletries, like the shampoo and soap, are specially made and feel high quality — another small touch that shows how much care has gone into the details. The location is incredibly convenient. Huge malls and a hypermart are literally at the doorstep, and the MRT/subway is linked directly to the hotel. The nearby malls and eateries are massive and have everything you could possibly want. There’s an outlet mall about 15 minutes away, so shopping is definitely covered. Practical bonuses: major banks are right downstairs, and if you need to change RMB, the exchange rate is very good and the fees are reasonable. There’s even a salon if you feel like getting a new haircut during your stay. Through the connected mall, you can find food of every kind, including Michelin-starred options — including a restaurant that serves crab cooked in liquor and delicious braised radish. Although the hotel is luxurious, modern and packed with smart features, what I treasure most is the dedication, warmth and sincerity of the staff. I’ve stayed at many other hotel chains, but this experience is way beyond anything I’ve had before. This stay has now set a very high bar for other hotels to match. Highly, highly recommended.

Majoittui CitiGOssa huhtikuussa 2025. Loistava paikka yöpyä Pekingissä matkoilla. Vastaava ja miellyttävä henkilökunta, joka on valmis vastaamaan kaikkiin kysymyksiin. Huoneet ovat siistejä ja viihtyisiä (vaikkakin melko kompakteja). Huomionarvoisia kohtia: ei kaappia ja lasiovia suihkussa ja wc:ssä, mikä oli hieman epämukavaa. Aamiaisella on laaja valikoima herkullisia ruokia, uskon, että jokainen löytää jotain itselleen. Hotellin lähellä on ostoskeskus ja metroasema. Pysyisin ehdottomasti täällä uudelleen.

Sijainti on erittäin kätevä, nähtävyydet ovat kävelyetäisyydellä ja useita metrolinjoja on lähellä. Jouduimme käyttämään tulkkia kommunikoidaksemme henkilökunnan kanssa, mutta se ei lannistanut mielialaamme. Kirjauduimme ulos aikaisin, koska olin virheellisesti varannut ikkunattoman huoneen. Ensimmäisenä yönä henkilökunta korotti meidät ikkunalliseen huoneeseen. Huone oli siisti, vaikka huonekalut olivatkin vanhoja. Huoneessa oli kylpytuotteita. Tarjolla oli vettä, teevalikoima, vedenkeitin, hiustenkuivaaja, minijääkaappi ja toimitus oli saatavilla. Emme kokeilleet aamiaisvaihtoehtoa; saimme vain hyvityksen.

Great stay at Ascott with many good options nearby. Service is excellent and counter staff are helpful and attentive. Room a little old in some parts and need sprucing up. Else, everything else is lovely about the stay.

I booked this hotel as it's very well located between the two airports and very well deserved by the tube in a very nice neighbourhood where you can truly see the everyday life of lovely Chinese people. Following the initial booking for a very nice room, there was an issue and tye management were so professional that they upgraded me for free to the executive suits which was absolutely stunning and beautiful and outstanding views of the whole city at the top floor. The room was spacious, and bathrooms were breathtaking. The management were very nice to me every time and even though they didn't speak English they were always trying to help. The hotel is located around many shops, restaurants and two Hugh malls located around changyiang metro which is direct to forbidden city and tianmen Square. I must admit that I stayed in the last few days but I ended up staying over 5 days because all the rooms are very large, with beautiful views and the breakfast is also very good. The overall impression is that Chinese management is always trying to help you. So, like me, if you are from Europe, do not book a Western brand and be courageous to book a Chinese hotel and experience their kindness and good hearth. I will give top grading to this hotel and will recommend it highly to all my European tourists.

While it is not in the immediate city-center tourist zone, I found transport straightforward, with taxis readily available and metro access within walking distance. This location worked especially well for business-related commitments and appointments. 🛏️ Rooms & Comfort The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a calm and private environment after a busy day. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I appreciated the well-thought-out lighting and overall room layout. Amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a minibar added to the sense of convenience. That said, I did notice that some elements of the room décor and technology felt slightly dated. While everything functioned well, a refresh in certain areas would further elevate the overall experience. Nonetheless, the room met my expectations for comfort and cleanliness. 🍽️ Dining & Facilities The hotel offers a good range of on-site dining options, and I found the breakfast buffet to be varied and well-organized. The café and lounge areas provide comfortable spaces for informal meetings or relaxing in the evening. We checked in on Sunday morning and were warmly welcomed by a helpful receptionist who assisted with luggage storage. Hotel room is clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The hotel location is great, between Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing. However, scaffolding was set up around the building due to repair works. Despite this, the staff handled things well—helping us change rooms, fixing minor issues, and even returning items we left behind. A staff member named Baozi stood out for his professionalism and helpfulness, especially when assisting us with Didi transport for our group and luggage. Breakfast was average but convenient, starting at 6:30 a.m., though we missed it one day due to an early trip to the Badaling Great Wall.

The service was good, a dude presses the lift button as soon as you are headed to the lift and explains how to use the old school insert and remove card in the lift which is the same process for the room. Room is clean and bed very comfy as you would expect. Big bath and nice views with electronic blinds for privacy and sleep time. Shower nice and strong with multiple heads. We enjoyed our stay, breakfast is pricey if you don’t buy it with your room.
