"The hotel is within 10 minutes walk from Sapporo JR station and 3 minutes walk from Hokkaido University so the location is very convenient. The room size is generous and it has a public bath on the 2nd floor. Overall a comfortable stay and good value for money. It would be even better if the reception could understand a bit more English or Chinese."

"We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this onsen hotel. The three public onsen were wonderful and relaxing, offering a great way to unwind. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of choices, and the kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. We also appreciated the complimentary beverages at the lobby lounge, including wine, sake and whisky, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a very pleasant stay and one we would happily recommend."

"I stayed here for five days and four nights. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The mountain view from the window was breathtaking. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located right next to the famous Nakajima Park, and the snowy scenery there was absolutely beautiful. It’s also very close to the Nakajima Koen subway station, which made getting around easy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area."

"I had a wonderful stay at ibis Styles Hotel Sapporo during my trip to Hokkaido. The location is excellent — close to the Susukino area, with easy access to restaurants, convenience stores, and the subway. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, much larger than most city hotels in Japan. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile, making check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant. The hotel also provides convenient parking and luggage storage, which made our road trip so much easier. We especially appreciated the cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches in the room. After long days exploring Sapporo and nearby attractions, it felt like coming home. Overall, it’s great value for money and ideal for families or travelers visiting Hokkaido. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and convenience in Sapporo!"

"Right outside the hotel there is a bus stop and access to the property is convenient (but I drive from Sapporo anyway). The room overall condition met expectation although I am quite disappointed that they only assign me to the second floor, and literally people from outside can see me if I don’t lower the blinds. There are 4 solo onsen rooms available for private use and it is recommended that the usage time stays at 40 mins. For the onsen, the public one is good although it is relatively small, and can be crowded sometimes. Overall, you come to Jozankei because you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and I enjoy my time there. But consider how much I pay for the room and board with virtually no view, there are plenty options out there that could get the most bang from the bucks. Verdict: Nice ambience but not worth for money"

"We always stayed at this hotel when we visited Otaru as we enjoyed the large spacious room and the amenities were great (we love the set of toiletries and Nespresso machine). It is part of the mega wingbay shopping centre and the supermarket can be accessed internally from the hotel lobby up to midnight, which we appreciate especially during winter season. The mountain view room also has a beautiful view during winter time."

"My experience at this hotel is quite unpleasant and not up to my expectations given its high rating. The room is spacious and clean. But the facility and service is just average. The biggest issue is the staff do not speak any English and fail to communicate even using translator(I understand some Japanese hotel does not feel the need to speak in other languages which is fine, but they will have to find other solutions to give clearer guidelines to help non-Japanese guests). The staff sounds polite to say sorry if they cannot help you, but they are not observant to our needs and not helpful from their actions.We stayed for 2 nights and had put a “please clean the room” sign at the door but no cleaning is done for the room. There were two onsen which men and women are assigned to use one of them at specific time, but one of them is actually old and has very limited clean-up area, so the onsen is actually not as good as the official photos suggested. The food is disappointing too, they look nice but the taste is quite bad and the cooked fish in all our meals is so rough in texture."

"stayed here for two days ，the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you. 1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall. 2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night. 3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here. 4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind."
