"I chose another accommodation nearby the train station (and airport), but that was cancelled, so Trip.com bumped me up to this accommodation. It was conveniently close to the train station and they offer a free airport shuttle service. The room was what you would expect, although for this price I would expect there to be a fridge in the room - but it seems that in China this is a rare amenity. The check-in staff were very slow, and didn't ask any questions after I handed them my passport. My 64-page passport is almost completely full of stamps and visas (including many Chinese visas), but because they didn't (want to) ask, I just let them leave through it for almost 5 minutes until they found my most recent entry stamp into China."

"My stay at New Dap Hostel was fantastic, thanks to the wonderful host, Tuang, and her assistant, Yong Yong. They were incredibly welcoming and made my visit exceptional.
The hostel itself is perfectly designed, offering plenty of spaces to socialize with other travelers or to find a quiet corner to relax or work. The location is also very convenient, with a great handmade noodle restaurant just 150m away and a convenience store right next door.
A highlight for me was the ”Journey to the West” tour (100¥), which I'm eager to experience again with my mother, as it was her favorite fairytale. The social atmosphere is great—I shared three bottles of wine with Franco from Italy, a self-proclaimed wine expert who was genuinely impressed by the local wine.
Don't forget to say hello to the friendly golden retriever and the mama cat with her kitten! I look forward to returning and highly recommend this hostel."

"The hotel accepts foreigners (as of June 2025). The location is fairly convenient, though not very central. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and even a night market. The room was large and with all the necessary amenities in good condition. The only issue was that the toilet wasn't cleaned well on the first day. The staff was kind. It is possible to store your bag for free. Overall, a good option for foreigners, especially as the hotels available for them in Turpan are limited."

"We absolutely love our brief stay at this hotel. The check in service was speedy and pleasant. The receptionists were friendly and went up and above to serve us. This is by far the best hotel for our trip to Xinjiang. There are 2 sets of complimentary washers and dryers for guests for which is really helpful. The only downside is there is only 1 set of lift (for our wing) and the wait can be long during peak breakfast hours."

"We stayed in a suite which was very spacious. The housekeeping lady was so friendly, helpful and hardworking! We like her so much. Overall, it was pleasant stay. The only downside is people smoked in non-smoking rooms, corridor and restaurant. Staff didn’t tell them not to and just let the smokers smoked."

"Wonderful place to stay. We liked the court and garden. The staff was very nice and welcoming. They organise activities and tours, which is particularly helpful for foreign tourist like us. The room was beautiful and cozy. We loved to walk around the hotel, bought a ”nan” bread nearby and see other shops and restaurants. The area around is not touristic and that's what we loved the most.
If I ever come back to Turfan, I would definitely come back here for more days."

"酒店周邊環境一般，客房在二樓和三樓，樓下有一家川菜館，有麪館和早餐店，車位在馬路兩旁和樓後。酒店工作人員素質不錯，客人進店都會熱情打招呼，入住辦理很快，房間較小，但是乾淨整潔，新開店，硬件設施都挺新，我最喜歡是他家的衞浴地板顏色，啞光灰色，大氣又上檔次，洗澡水很好，床墊也可以，不理解的是以吐魯番這樣極端温度的地方，被子為什麼要那麼厚，為了蓋這個被子，又要把空調温度調但很低，這不浪費電嗎？還有一個問題就是每天從外面返回房間，推門就會聞到強烈的異味，仔細找又不是衞浴間傳出來的，不知從何而來，窗户都關緊的，不存在外面飄進來，但連續兩天都有這個現象，希望酒店能解決。總的來説，作為新開酒店，還不錯的。"

VVieraskäyttäjäShanshan is a small town and if you do come here, it would be to visit the Kumtaq desert. The desert is 15-20 minutes from the hotel, so is the Shanshanbei railway station. I recommend this hotel because of the service of the front desk staff, Ms Xiaoba who goes above and beyond to help. She was responsive on wechat and organised a car to pick us up, she willingly booked a taxi for as we couldn’t find the address to the night market on our DIDI app., she provided extra water and answered any questions with a smile. This is a new hotel so looks clean and fresh with a smart toilet. They even have tents/ tepees so if you have a kid, this is a welcome. I saw a room with spiderman and Barbie princess theme too. The breakfast has many Chinese options and they are well cooked and delicious. They do have a coffee machine. I’d stay here again if I were to revisit. Kumtaq Desert is worth a visit and the second golf cart/sightseeing mini bus drives you right to the end and brings you back to the second station. The other deserts we visited didn’t have this. Small town, big heart, great service, amazing people! VA

VVieraskäyttäjäThe hotel is in a generally good location Turpan, a 5 minute walk from bezeklik street, which made it a convenient base for exploring. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and we really appreciated how accommodating they were, they even let us change rooms when something wasn’t quite right, which we thought was great service.
Overall, the service was excellent and staff genuinely tried to help whenever possible. Breakfast was good and offered a nice start to the day.
One thing worth noting is that although the hotel advertises a gym and a laundry room, the gym was not available during our stay as the hotel is still new and parts of it were under construction. There was also no on-site laundry room, but the hotel did offer to take our laundry and have it done at another hotel, which was actually a very helpful and well-handled solution.
Despite these points, the hotel offers very good value for money, and the positive service really made a difference to our stay.

AAndrew BeagrieLocation very good in the city centre. You can walk to the museum and lake in a few minutes. Lots of restaurants and a good supermarket minutes away. Staff at check in very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good, if you like Chinese style. Room was spacious and modern. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a long time! Aircon was reasonable - temperatures outside were still quite mild for Turpan. However, if I was booking in the summer months I would check reviews on Trip beforehand to make sure it was coping with the high temperatures. No fridge in the room, which was a surprising for a modern 4 star hotel and would be another disadvantage in the summer months there. Breakfast only starts at 0800. On the day I left, I had to get a taxi at 0750. The lovely ayis in the kitchen gave me a box of food to go and slept encouraging me to take even more food! However, no one was on at reception at that time! Overall, good in many areas but needs to improve in others.

SStuart McD.Lee was a great host, speaks excellent English, and was very helpful with suggestions on both things to do around Turpan and also border crossing how to info. The dorm was clean, and supplied with clean linen (make your own bed), and with an attached hot water bathroom. The lodgings are simple, but there’s plenty of space, and upon arrival I was invited to eat dinner (pictured) with Lee and some other guests—delicious! After dinner they screened a movie on an exterior wall.
The location is midway between the station and Turpan proper, neither of which are comfortable walking distance, but taxis are cheap and easy to get. The hostel is within easy walking distance of one of the very interesting water irrigation museums, and there’s a good Uighur restaurant about ten minutes away on foot.
If you’re on a budget, looking for a “traveller vibe” style place, and don’t mind the slightly out of the way location, this is a great option. Would stay here again.

There is a shuttle that comes quickly and efficiently. The room in the shape of a wine barrel is great and clean, the staff is very nice and efficient, they helped us quite a bit. The breakfast is great and varied and there are also vegetarian options. There is a possibility of free laundry, and the reception is really available 24/7. The winery tour was beautiful and the long canal is very impressive. The shuttle from the train to the hotel and from the hotel to the train worked great. To improve - the pool was dirty throughout our stay, other than that it is just an amazing place! We will be back again in the future

22morrowsworldThis 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast.
On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests.
I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days.
Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor).
There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.

Varasin ei-ikkunassa ei tupakointihuoneen (Älä tee sitä, mene huoneessa ikkunalla) koska ajattelin, että on enemmän mahdollisuuksia, että ihmiset tupakoit vielä tupakointia ei-tupakointihuoneissa ikkunoilla.
Ensimmäinen huone, jonka he antoivat minulle, laittaa avainkortti ja sähkö ei toiminut. Odotavat heitä tarkistaa ilman tulosta, joten siirrettiin toiseen huoneeseen. Se ei tupakointi, mutta voin selvästi haistaa tupakan. Siihen meni kaksi päivää, kun savuhaju lähti pois.

Hyvin kuuma, jos kääntynyt niin minun piti kääntää se pois koko ajan, kun jään hotellissa. Vaikka on talviaika, koko hotelli on jo lämmitys. Ei voida säätää huoneen lämpötila on ärsyttävää, koska se tarkoittaa ilman liikennettä. Huoneessa on räjähdyskone (similar fan) mutta se ei ole tehokas tarpeeksi nopeasti. Huone tuntuu erittäin sumuttava. Toivoin todella ikkunan. Myös koska ilman ikkunan huoneet jakavat 3 seinää muiden huoneiden (ei lasketa yläkerran), se on enemmän huono onnea mahdollisuuksia outo melu. Minun tapauksessani minun piti kestää yksi yö, jossa on kaksi voimakasta uyghur-paria, jotka eivät voi estää itseään pelästymästä hirveää ääntä ja tehdä kaikenlaisia kammottavaa melua.

For the high price of 1.200 Yuan would have expected lights at entrance area of complex, more luxurious reception area (currently more Chinese boarding house style), bedside tables with lights, more than a basic breakfast.
It’s a nice place for 300-500 max, for 1200 you usually get a luxury resort and service in China.
