The hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish. Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner. However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

Se oli meille loistava oleskelu. Merinäköalallinen mökki on mukava ja viihtyisä minulle ja miehelleni. Esteetön näköala merelle on suosikkini. Huonepalvelu oli hyvää ja henkilökunta ystävällistä ja tervehti meitä aina hymyillen. Yövyimme kolme yötä ja söimme ateriamme lomakeskuksen ravintoloissa. Aamiainen sisältyi varaukseemme ja aamiaisella tarjoiltu ruoka oli hyvää, mutta ei mitään erityistä mainittavaa. Söimme lounaan ja illallisen Spicessä ja Kelongin mereneläväravintolassa. Sanoisin, että ruokavalikoima on rajallinen ja kallis. Sanoisin, että se on kalliimpaa kuin Singapore (yksi Aasian kalleimmista kaupungeista). Kahdelle hengelle käytimme noin 70–170 dollaria ateriaa kohden… alkupala, yksi pääruoka ja yksi halvin juoma. Kun söimme mereneläväruokaa, se maksoi enemmän, tietenkin noin 170 dollaria. Kaiken kaikkiaan se oli hyvä kokemus. Mukava oleskelu kalliita ruokia lukuun ottamatta. Ruoan maku on ihan ok. Yövyimme kolme yötä, joten meidän oli vaikeampi valita, mitä syödä, kun valinnanvaraa ei ole paljon eikä se ole jännittävää, ja olet lomakeskuksessa... joten et voi mennä ulos ja ostaa edullisempaa ruokaa ulkopuolelta. Jos lomakeskuksessa on enemmän kiinalaista ruokaa, se on hyvä. Joten jos yövyt rentoutumassa, se on hyvä. Jos olet ruokaharrastaja..., tämä paikka ei ole sinua varten.

This is my second time staying in Aston. The service is impeccable and the staff are the most friendliest and helpful people. The rooms are kept clean daily with fresh towels always available. The restaurant is cosy with really good variety of both western and delicious Indonesian traditional food. The hotel’s location is just a stone’s throw away from lots of eateries and restaurants, museums and tourist spots. The swimming pool has a children’s pool and mini water park. Great for families with young children. The adult pool is always clean and big enough for a good workout. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come again.

Everything was great but please learn to delivery ”no” message to your customer instead of stalling tactic. We requested for early checkin as the ferry disembarked at close to 12pm. The concierge told us it was subjected to availability. They will try to clean up room quickly. We waited close to 3hrs, 15mins before official check in time to get the room. But we noticed neighboring units were empty.. and due to low occupancy, the breakfast was ala-carte instead of buffet.

Was here for a company retreat. Location is really far from anything else, but I kinda like it this way. Its a double storey room, with a living area and a private pool on the first floor and the bedroom on the second. Bathroom area is huge, there is some smell at the shower area, think its the drainage issue, and the sick is a lottle rusty. But the wonderful and friendly staff of the resort make all these small imperfection, perfect! Good job to the team! Oh, i was surprise by the breakfast spread 😃 quite a good spread of local and western choices that i kinda overeat 🤣. And credit to the chef too! I had lunch and dinner at Azura, food taste good! Recommend for family and friends gatherings.

Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were already blasting cold temperature at 16C with a card inserted into the system. Much appreciated due to the super hot weather. Pool was small. More for soaking chilling than swimming. Gym was small. Enclosed with glass with the top open-air so it can be very hot and humid. Treadmill was pitiful. It is more of a home-based type treadmill than one that is usually found in hotels. My group of 14 adults decided to have dinner at the cafe/ restaurant. The menu is limited but sufficient for us to try the local food. Unfortunately, the food was very slow and came in bits and pieces ie 1 dish came out after 10-15min of waiting. Imagine 14 adults ordering multiple dishes + drinks? We must have ordered 30+ dishes, not including drinks. It was only at the last 20min of our dinner that many dishes came out of the kitchen at the same time. The staff was definitely not prepared to handle such orders in the evenings. Some of the dishes like satay was cold. Some dishes were also missed out. Truly disappointing. The wait staff were nice and patient. Breakfast was much better. Many dishes and choices. This hotel seems to be a popular choice with Chinese nationals. The whole hotel was swarmed with them during breakfast.

Good location for a beach front holiday. Kids could play at the beach and swimming pools for the entire day. Thank you for the hospitality (from most of the staff)! The only issue is that the General Manager or someone from senior management (Mr R - didn't catch his full name) who appeared on the last day should have better communication with the staff at reception - what the reception informed us on the first day when we double checked on some additional charges (staff said no charge) is totally different from what he insisted on the last day of our stay (he said got additional charge).

It rained at night and the walls are wet in the inside. Beddings sheets time for new ones. White beddings are not looking bright white. Overall still ok with the good price. Bfast menu been the same for many years. 😊 still happy with the stay

The pod at Anmon looked nicer, but it was on the pricier side. The villa we stayed in wasn’t bad, but definitely worn down—some spots weren’t painted well, the toilet sink clogged, and there was this weird smell in the room. The service was great and location is alright since you pretty much need to travel around with a car anyways

當天我丟失了我的包，感謝兩位酒店的工作人員幫我看守了我的包，包裏有我的護照銀行卡還有很多現金，時間長達三個小時，如果丟失了我的包我甚至回不了中國，感謝兩位拾金不昧的員工，這是我最幸運的一次旅行👍👍👍 Hari itu saya kehilangan tas saya. Terima kasih banyak kepada kedua staf hotel yang telah menjaga tas saya. Di dalam tas ada paspor, kartu bank, dan banyak uang tunai. Mereka menjaganya selama tiga jam. Jika tas saya hilang, saya bahkan tidak bisa kembali ke Tiongkok. Terima kasih kepada kedua karyawan yang jujur ini. Ini adalah perjalanan paling beruntung yang pernah saya alami.
