Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

Our stay at SYYF was beyond spectacular. From the new and modern looking room furnishing, to the location of the hotel, everything was perfect. What stood out the most was the excellent and detailed service provided by SYYF staff. Small acts of favours made our stay at Yangshuo the highlight of our China vacation. As we booked 2 rooms, they upgraded one of our rooms so that we could be on the same floor. Before we arrived, they shared travel tips and recommendations with us via WeChat. Booking tickets through the hotel reception was also a breeze, quick and cheaper than from other Chinese platforms such as ********. Would highly recommend this local hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay!

Extremely friendly staff and they definitely out preformed and went the extra miles to welcome their guests! The electric scooter rental is great and the price is also good. Location is beautiful, stunning, magnificent and breathtaking! You cannot go wrong with the view in this location and what this hotel has to offer you. There are also many attractions and view points in the location. Breakfast had a nice touch to it and you get a few options,mainly western but also their local noodle dish which you can have for breakfast a great way to experience a different culture. If you need to do laundry then they have the facilities for you to do so. Over all I would come back for sure.

I wish I could give this place a million stars if I could. Our stay was perfect. The owner greeted us when we arrived and shared her extensive knowledge of tea while pouring us endless delicious cups. She also recommended places to hike and eat. The rooms are lovely, super comfortable beds with stunning views. The amenities are wonderful, a beautiful pool in a tranquil courtyard, hot-tubs upon request, discounted tickets to numerous local attractions, and an excellent breakfast - to name a few. There are also cocktails served in your room from 8pm to midnight. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, always smiling and offering drinks or snacks. We loved every minute here and I would have liked to stay forever. While it is outside of town, don’t let that deter you. Yangshuo proper is a short Didi ride away. The hotel also has electric scooters for rent, which are great fun to zip about on. There are many lovely restaurants just a few minutes away, especially the farmer’s restaurant across the street and Lulu’s restaurant just a short distance down the road. (Try the 苦瓜 - bitter gourd stuffed with pork - it’s AMAZING!!!) Give this beautiful hotel a try, you won’t regret it!

We stayed in Yangshuo, China, at the Waterside Boutique Hotel by the river. The staff were very friendly and highly customer-oriented. We booked a room with a panoramic view, and the scenery from our window was absolutely fantastic, overlooking the mountains and the river. We could even watch the rafting from our room. The river itself was just two minutes from the hotel, which made it easy to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. It was a wonderful place, with fresh air and very kind, pleasant people all around. At the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, especially a young woman named Minnie, who speaks excellent English. We saw her every day, and she was always available to help us with translation and any assistance we needed. Whenever we wanted to visit local attractions, she immediately offered to arrange transportation, purchase tickets, and even helped us book and buy tickets to Ruyi Peak at a lower price than we would have paid ourselves at the ticket office. Thanks to her help, we even saved 60 yuan. We are truly delighted that we chose to stay at this hotel and visit Yangshuo. We would like to sincerely thank Minnie for her hospitality, as well as the entire staff for their excellent service. We have such wonderful memories from our stay. We truly hope to return to this hotel and to Yangshuo again with our friends and family. Everything was simply perfect.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Each morning, the breakfast featured a fixed menu with a delightful variety of noodle and dumpling soups. If you’re looking for a change from Chinese cuisine, the bar offers some great Western options. The pool is beautifully situated against a backdrop of mountains, and our room was lovely! Just a heads-up: there were a few mosquitoes in our room, though we're not sure how they got in since we were careful with the door. The receptionist can assist you with renting a scooter. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and the location is very close to the ancient town. Highly recommended! :)

We’ve travelled all over the world and stayed in everything from budget hotels to some of the most well-known luxury brands, and we can honestly say this was the best hotel we’ve ever experienced. Everything about Liangsu Hotel in Yangshuo exceeded our expectations. The service from the staff was absolutely impeccable—everyone was so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It didn’t feel forced or “hotel-like” at all, just very natural and thoughtful. They really go above and beyond to make your stay special. The room was something else. Waking up to that view every morning honestly felt unreal—it’s like living inside a painting. The design is beautiful and calming, and every detail in the room felt carefully thought out. It’s one of those places where you actually look forward to spending time in the room. One really unique touch we loved was the complimentary 30-minute travel photography session. It’s such a thoughtful experience, and the setting makes for incredible photos—you’re basically surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. It’s a small detail, but it made the stay even more memorable. The whole hotel has such a peaceful, dreamy atmosphere that makes it really hard to leave. It’s quiet, scenic, and just feels very special compared to a lot of other places we’ve stayed. We’ve stayed in many “luxury” hotels before, but this one stands out because it combines stunning design, nature, and truly genuine service. Highly, highly recommend—this place is something special. For us it's more than 5 stars!

The hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!). Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.
