AMAZING hotel. We booked two nights here towards the end of our two weeks trip and it was the best decision ever! Hotel was very clean and cozy. Staff were very attentive and kind. We could only book this room as this was the only available room at the time of my booking. I'd preferred a different room. But to my surprise I LOVED the room. The view of the mountain and autumn leaves were amazing. Even my husband who couldn't care less about nature and view in general fell in love. He soaked in the hot spring tub 3 times an hour for several hours! We both loved it. We could grab a dvd in the lobby to watch. I grabbed harry potter second and third movies to watch. How relaxing. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! And shuttle service to Kowakidani train station were a huge convenience! Would love to come back and book a different type of room in the future!

We were looking for onsen with private bath on the balcony and probably hit the sweet spot. Unfortunately we had only 1 night stay, but it was fantastic. Onsen is located at the top station Gora, where you can get from Odawara. That’s around 2 hours from Tokyo all together, around 3 hours from Kyoto. Last 2 sections of the way are going through a picturesque steep railway. Views are great! Be sure to rush to the front or back seats (doesn’t matter which) to secure a spot for nice photographs. Private bath is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious with a touch of ryokan style (tatami etc). That’s a perfect place to sit and relax doesn’t matter it’s sunshine or pooring rain outside. The food was fantastic (according to my wife), however the options are limited if you’re not eating fish or sea products due to allergy or other reasons. For Karaku team - I would suggest adding a signature wagyu set for those who would like something else. Selection of wine and alcohol drinks is superb. Free snacks and coffee are available till 8 p.m. as well with a view terrace. For those who like some regular conbini stuff - Lawson is around 10 mins walk with Miyazaki style trains passing by👌🏻 All in all, we wish we had stayed at least 2 nights as there are lots of activities around.  Thanks to Karaku staff for a warm welcome and tailored experience!

Ateriat olivat runsaat, ja aamiainen ja illallinen toimitettiin huoneeseen. Grilli- ja hot pot -ruoissa oli kuitenkin voimakas haju, ja minun piti kysyä useita kertoja ennen kuin minut päästettiin syömään ravintolassa. Matkakumppanini sairastui, ja taloudellisen taantuman vuoksi kaikki lähellä olevat apteekit olivat suljettuina. Hotellin ensiapulaukku oli vanhentunut, tuskin riittävä tilapäiseen hätätilanteeseen. Kaupunki oli melko hiljainen; metsätaidemuseo ja nähtävyysjuna olivat vielä paikallaan, mutta ne olivat selvästi hyvin ränsistyneitä.

I had a wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace! The day before check-in, I received an email with the entrance code, which made the whole process very smooth. The room was exactly as described on the website—with large windows offering an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake. The scenery alone made it more than worth it. We had eight people staying in two 4-person rooms located on the third floor. One of the rooms was slightly larger and had extra bedding stored in the closet—enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. There were two bathrooms and two toilets in total, which was perfect for a group or family. The main bathroom included a sauna, hot spring-style bath, shower area, double sinks, a washing machine, and a water dispenser. The second bathroom had a separate shower area and a single sink. Both toilets were separated spaces from bathrooms with high-tech with bidet functions and small sinks. The large dining table and spacious sofa area easily seated all of us. We spent many relaxing moments on the balcony, soaking our feet in the warm onsen foot bath, chatting, and admiring the stunning view. The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, detergent, a large fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, a capsule coffee machine, and a Japanese rice cooker that made delicious rice. The beds were on the firmer side but still soft and very comfortable. It was just a 3-minute walk along the lake to the 7-Eleven, accessible by elevator from the building. The nearby pier was where we boarded the pirate ship cruise, and about 13 minutes further along the lake was the Peace Torii—a fantastic photo spot. Don’t forget to grasp some delicious bread at “bakery and table” before boarding to the ship. After check-out, we stored our luggage in the lockers at Motohakone Port, took the pirate ship to Togendai, transferred to the ropeway to Sounzan, and visited Gora and Kowakudani before taking the mountain bus back to Motohakone to pick up our luggages. There are 4 lockers for suitcase up to 32 inches ¥700, 12 lockers for 24 inches ¥600, and 10 lockers for smaller size of bags ¥400. From there, we had a pre-arranged shuttle take us back to Tokyo. The whole route was smooth and well-organized—perfect for a larger group traveling without a car. Overall, I highly recommend Rakuten Stay!

Great hotel. Service and amenities amazing (except no gym). Thought the rooms was well designed to provide good rest. In my opinion the breakfast was the star. Top Notch!! All in all great experience.

Great private room spa, facilities new and clean, excellent buffet breakfast with a lot of food options, will visit again next time

The place looks like the pictures. It’s about 20 mins away by bus from the hakoneyumoto station. We used the baggage delivery service at the train station (1000 yen per piece for regular size baggage) and when we checked in, our bags were in the room already. The staff is very nice and helpful. We’re thankful for the shuttle to the nearby bus station. The food is great. The onsen is very relaxing. We had a great time at this place. Definitely will stay again when I visit Hakone.

沒有驚艷之處，房間除了大還是大，很多評論基本都寫到了，懷石沒有想象中那麼出色，反而成了我對他的扣分項，這次入住，如果滿分100，我覺得80分吧，畢竟這價格沒有達到我所要的期望值！

住了gen fufu 這家酒店是箱根最後一間 還好是最後一間 因為這裏距離箱根景點實在是有點遠 雖然衹有10公里 但是箱根交通不方便 酒店位置在半山腰上 床有點太軟了 衞生間比較悶 因為沒有通風 泡池的温度又高 整個衞生間牆上都是水珠 整體來説如果這家酒店位置如果市中心的話 還可以考慮 早餐是西式 但是味道很一般 晚餐雖然是一星米其林但還是有一點點失望的 旁邊唯一的經典就是蘆葦盪和箱根本湯小鎮 第一次來箱根的朋友還是住強羅附近吧
