"The entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. "The hotel itself is not bad - beds are comfortable and large, and the dinner is okay, but nothing too special. This hotel overwhelmingly caters to families, which is evident when staying there: there are many children, and a lot of the amenities cater to them as well. For example the sauna is not very hot and there’s a lot of candies in the free snack bar. I wish the hotel was better at communicating / marketing this on their website, as I’m not the intended audience and it’s very expensive for a mediocre experience. As well, the breakfast timing is questionable - only available from 7am - 8:30am, along with a 10am checkout time this is quite an early start and not very relaxing."

"This hotel may be a bit remote, but that’s exactly what makes it so peaceful—and absolutely perfect if you’re hoping to catch the sunrise. While you can’t see Mt. Fuji directly from the room, you only need to step out onto the road in front of the hotel to get an incredible view. I highly recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise over Mt. Fuji—it’s truly unforgettable. The hotel also offers bicycle rentals, which is super convenient. I strongly recommend biking along the nearby cycling and walking paths; there’s a beautiful lakeside area with stunning, unobstructed views of Mt. Fuji, and best of all, it’s completely quiet with hardly anyone around. The owner is very warm and welcoming. We rented a car so we didn’t need the free station pick-up service, but it’s great that they offer it—it makes getting there easy even without a car. Just make sure to buy any food or drinks you’ll need in advance, since there aren’t any stores or restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and had a lovely traditional Japanese inn vibe. It was such a relaxing stay—I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful with a touch of old-school charm."

"The location was amazing right when you get off from Shinjuku - the amenities are nice and the staff helpful. Just note that checkout is at 10:00AM and getting a late one requires you to pay. A bit pricey, but not in comparison to other options in Hakone."

"I would really love to visit again. So conveniently located at togendai port. Just 5mins walk from back exit. Staff are international and speaks good english. Love the food and free flow alcohol at buffet. I booked private onsen for my family 3000yen for 40mins. Clean and comfortable. There is shuttle bus service from odawara station. Taked abt an hour. Prebook with the hotel for the shuttle bus to and from odawara. It's probably a lil pricey compared to other hotels but it's not the most expensive and I think it's worth it."
