"This hotel may be a bit remote, but that’s exactly what makes it so peaceful—and absolutely perfect if you’re hoping to catch the sunrise. While you can’t see Mt. Fuji directly from the room, you only need to step out onto the road in front of the hotel to get an incredible view. I highly recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise over Mt. Fuji—it’s truly unforgettable. The hotel also offers bicycle rentals, which is super convenient. I strongly recommend biking along the nearby cycling and walking paths; there’s a beautiful lakeside area with stunning, unobstructed views of Mt. Fuji, and best of all, it’s completely quiet with hardly anyone around. The owner is very warm and welcoming. We rented a car so we didn’t need the free station pick-up service, but it’s great that they offer it—it makes getting there easy even without a car. Just make sure to buy any food or drinks you’ll need in advance, since there aren’t any stores or restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and had a lovely traditional Japanese inn vibe. It was such a relaxing stay—I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful with a touch of old-school charm."

"Расположен в 12-15 минутах ходьбы от ж.д. станции Хаконе Юмото. Отель старенький. Заселяли полдня, не могли найти наше бронирование через trip.com, пришлось обратиться в службу поддержки. Выдают юкаты (одинаковые для мужчин и женщин). Брали тематический ужин и завтрак, очень понравилась тонко нарезанная говядина кобе, которая готовиться на горелке на столе. Остальные закуски не понравились. Обслуживание очень медленное, заказанное пиво ждали двадцать минут и принесли только после напоминания. Просили в качестве гарнира рис, но его так и не принесли. Онсен раздельный, крытый бассейнчик и два чана одноместных на балконе. В понедельник людей было мало. Как опыт пойдет, но больше сюда не вернёмся, поищем что то посовременнее."

"Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and super comfy. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight, way better than I expected for the price we paid. They have 3 types: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor and 1 mixed. All these are bookable throughout the day, from 7am to 11pm and they are completely private. The ryokan is 15 minutes walking from Gora station, so if you arrive by train and you have luggage I recommend you check on google map how to get there with a bus, otherwise you’ll have to walk uphill for a while. The only negative point I can find is probably the breakfast, I tried both western and Japanese style, they are both quite pricy for what they are and I personally did not enjoy the Japanese one. Despite this I would totally come back if I ever visit Hakone again."

"숙소가 고라역 근처인데, 힐링만 하러 오기에는 아깝네요. 고라역까지 온김에 꼭 리프트타고 올라갔다오는게 좋은데, 료칸이라 그것도 아까울수있어요. 조식은 뷔페식이고 괜찮았고, 석식은 술하고 음료 많은데 식사는 좀 적은감이 있어요. 바로앞 편의점인 것도 좋고, 방에 욕실있는곳이 정말 좋았습니다."

"20 min uphill hike from Gora station. Or you can take cable train up hill for two stations and walk on flatland for about 8 minutes to hotel. Hotel has shuttle bus. They dropped us off on the way back. You can possibly call to pick you up at Gora station. Trip.com reservation options show you prices for one adult. It's very hard to book for 3 people to stay in one room to save money. I sent a custom request to the hotel exactly this - 3 people in one room. Trip.com charged me $270 and when I got to the hotel, they said I have to pay $300+ more for 2 more people. That was not clearly communicated to me by either Trip.com or hotel. There's a language and cultural barrier. In Japan, you pay per person - not by rooms. They scan your all passports of everyone staying - not just the person who books. With last minute notice, I had no choice but to pay more as other hotels nearby are filled up and we were very tired from 4 hours train transfers dragging our bags plus 8 minutes walk to the hotel. All in all, if trip.com room selections are not a perfect fit, I can't recommend booking this hotel. Custom messages are not recognized. Communication is lacking. You will get charged last minute without any alternatives left. For $570 a night, we could have a way better hotel in Hakone. The breakfast also wasn't memorable and you have to reserve it ahead of time. I would not come back."

"Sopii hyvin perheen ja ystävien tapaamiseen! Erittäin mukava hotelli Voit nauttia kuumista lähteistä rekisteröitymisen jälkeen. Palveluhenkilöstö antaa 100 pistettä! Erittäin innostunut esittely ja apu, erityinen kiitos yhdelle taiwanilaiselle huoltohenkilökunnalle ja malesialaiselle huoltohenkilökunnalle, joka tarjosi ennakoivasti ja innostuneesti kuljetusehdotuksia. Hotelli on noin 5-8 minuutin päässä Corsair-bussilta linjalla J, joka on erittäin lähellä ja nopea! !"

"The room is very nice with a lot of space and a nice view overseeing the river and small waterfall. The facilities like the private onsen is super nice as well. Public bath - we tried both , are good standard too. And super clean too. However, two things need to be mindful of: 1. The meal isn’t great as expected - they serve kids lunch as kids dinner, and for adults one, it is not the kind of nice setup I imagined 2. The tatami blanket is …. Below hygiene standard. I feel super itchy staying under the blanket and my boy got some bugs bite sadly. I hope they can arrange for a big clean up everytime."

"スタッフの皆様がとても親切で、毎日心地よく過ごさせていただきましたありがとうございました。 清潔感のあるクラシカルなホテルで、ゲストの方も落ち着いた方々が多く、とてもリラックスできました。日中は観光に出かけてしまいましたが、次回はラウンジのベランダでゆっくりするのも素敵だなと思いました。 朝食ビュッフェも美味しかったです。 私はカレーとシチューが気に入りました。 公共の交通機関で箱根に来たため、桃源台からホテルの無料の送迎シャトルが夕方まで出ていたのでとても助かりました。また、チェックアウト後の桃源台までのシャトルの送迎も助かりました。 ホテルの近くにもバス停のようなものがあったので、次回はバスのダイヤなども調べてより柔軟に観光ができればと思いました。 周りにはレストランが無いように思えたので、次回はその辺のリサーチもしようと思います。"

"We stayed at the Mixed dormitory and it was so comfortable. At first we were hesitant but the installations are so good. The shared bathrooms are impeccable, the shower is so clean and big. The bed was so comfortable The best part of this hostel is the staff, they are the sweetest and they're so helpful. We loved the onsen and we also got the morning breakfast. I would absolutely recommend. The people I stayed with in the mixed dormitories were pretty chill, so we didn’t have any issues sleeping or leaving our stuff there."
