1. Plenty of paid parking in front of the hotel. You will need to download an app to pay for parking.
2. Walking distance to Jonker Street & restaurants. You will never have to stress about booking Grab to get to Jonker Street & get stuck in the traffic.
3. Free breakfast. Slightly chaotic as there’s limited tables and chairs at the dining area (next to reception), but breakfast provided are decent. I would suggest allowing guests to bring their breakfast & eat in hotel."

"I stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups.
The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient.
Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot.
Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant.
One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times.
Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together."

"Our check-in experience was a bit stressful. We arrived at 17:00 and the door was locked. When a staff member arrived later, they weren’t able to check us in immediately and kept calling someone without explaining what was happening. It would be helpful if someone were always available during check-in times to welcome guests.
The first room we were given had a lot of mold on the walls, and the shared bathrooms and showers were very dirty. They were not cleaned during our three-day stay.
However, we want to highlight the professionalism of Navira, who quickly came to assist us. She was polite, kind and genuinely willing to provide excellent service. When we requested a room change due to the mold, she immediately arranged a better room for us. This completely turned our first impression of the hostel around. The new room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with both a fan and air conditioner.
We truly appreciate Navira’s help and friendliness, which made our stay much more enjoyable."

"i asked for an additional pillow and the reception guy told me that i have to pay for it.
i asked him how much, he seems unsure and he just told me that its around rm10 which i think it's unreasonable and i didnt take it.
the next morning, i asked another guy for the price of the pillow and he told me it's rm3!
suggest hotel administrator to educate the staff with correct info. to avoid customer disappointment.

"The hotel was a pleasant place to stay and met my expectations well. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay relaxing. "The hotel has provided the facilities as committed in their booking-page in the acceptable condition to their customer, i.e. me. Despite it is a budget hotel only and the overall appearance is slightly vintage :D, the room, the bed/mattress/blanket, bathroom, showering water heater, etc. are still clean and in acceptable condition. Besides, if communicated/spoken to the hotel, it has self check-in option for the check-in after business operation hour, i.e. mid night. Travelers can acquire the room key/card by themselves from a locker with a provided pin code. These enable me to have a good rest after making an urgent booking in night time, travel over 100km then reach the hotel at 1.30 a.m. mid night. The attached photos show the self check-in/out facility, public drinking-water-dispenser and fire extinguisher.
Although I can't expect much from a budget, I would like to suggest that the air-con in the room to have service/maintenance so that it won't produce much noise. By the way, the noise only distract us slightly from having rest.
After all, based on the offered/discounted price, the room is satisfactory and recommended."

"Nice budget hotel. Sure, there was no TV, wifi was splotchy due to upgrading works, an occasional mosquito that probably flew in from outside. Otherwise, cannot beat the service - very nice friendly staff - always ready to help, can store luggage for short period before check in and after check out, clean space, comfy bed, aircon was great, toiletries smell nice, powerful rainshower and gorpeous toilet bowl with all the electric works. Also, location, location, location. Appreciate being able to pop in and out to escape the heat and rest between visits to attractions. Great food stores, 24hr convenience stores and atmospheric cafes nearby. Despite being so close to Jonker street weekend night market, it was pretty quiet, allowing for good sleep. Definitely coming back on next trip to Malacca."

The whole unit is super spacious and enough for a big family! Amenities are advanced, all smart technology, eg. Toilet bowl, kitchen taps etc. loved the many washrooms and space. Just that pillows are too soft, need to drive out and KTV system not working very well. Otherwise, all was good!

I’m here for solo trip, it is a wonderful place which should let more ppl see, the location is amazing, just cross the road can see the market. The parking is easy for me coz the parking there is easy to see ppl out and park. The toilet is super duper clean, and the. sleeping area is so quiet, everyone there is mature adult, there try to keep the most quiet they can in the sleeping area. Common area really feel warm and cozy. There have 2 cats there is very fluffy and watch TV and gaming area. It is really a place worth to stay, will come back again if visit thai place again.

The room is clean, beds are comfortable, shampoo & soap are provided (have to bring your own dental & hair grooming products), the service is warm, friendly & helpful, and checking in & out was very quick. Also, there’s a water dispenser so you can top up water bottles and complimentary luggage storage service is provided to do more sightseeing after check out or waiting to check in. The only downside is that there’s no lift so unless you are staying in the family suites on the ground level, have to lug all your stuff up the staircase to the 2nd floor.

Both my husband and l loved this place. We’ve been here many years ago and now back with a room that has a garden, beautiful, spacious, couldn’t be better. Absolutely nice. Location very convenient, staff very friendly. Will definitely be back.

View from the 25th floor is beautiful. Be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes for the lifts though. This block seems to serve mainly visitors, and we waited more than 30 minutes for a lift to bring us down as its fully packed during check out time between 11am to 12pm. Ended up walking down the stairs from 25th floor, and we were faster than the lift while lugging along 2 luggages.

Cons:
-Reception closed after 7PM till next day morning! Please beware if you are checking in after 7PM. I reached there around 6.45PM, but already no one there. But there is a notice at the door saying we can contact someone to collect room key. Afterall, we are able to checkin successfully.
-No lift. I carried my luggage up 2 floors. I know I can't complain with the price I paid.
-No hairdryer. Since the reception is closed, I gave up asking the staff for help.
-Looks like this hotel changed its name, now managed by someone else. I am guessing bcs of this, there is no manpower for the reception.
Pros:
-High value for money, this makes me come back in the future
-Spacious room, compared to other hotels with the same price, cleanliness is also good
-Quiet environment for me, although it might look a bit creepy at night for someone
-Coway water dispenser machine at reception, although the lights are all off since reception is closed.
-Ample parking for free. Not private parking by the hotel so I guess there are some kind of small charges by the city council (MBMB)
-I actually called the hotel's local line on the checkin day (apparently that time the reception is still open) to confirm my booking. The staff over the phone was nice and polite.

It's worth more than the price, the location, the facilities.
I paid less than RM50 per night (not including the RM50 deposit). The bathroom and showers are amazing. The heaters is 5/5 stars, complete with shampoo, soap, towels. We got a window with the city view. The room is big and very comfortable, the air-conditioning is fully functioning. A lot of space for prayers.
I'd definitely book this hotel again, next time.
