Beautiful hotel, location is fantastic near Jalan Bunga Raya and Jonker Walk. The room is nice, bed is comfy, shower water pressure is great. Plenty of parking for those driving, just remember to validate at the counter before driving out its complimentary. The front desk agents are very friendly, it was an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for one with great location in Melaka.

The hotel’s location is absolutely excellent—right in the heart of Jonker Walk. Everything is just steps away, whether you want to explore the night market, enjoy local food, or grab a casual drink in the evening. It’s incredibly convenient and perfect for a lively yet effortless stay. One of the best parts is that room service is available until 10:30 PM, so even if you don’t feel like heading out, you can still enjoy a delicious meal comfortably in your room. The breakfast spread is impressive and truly delicious. There is a wide variety of options, including Nyonya cuisine, Western dishes, porridge, Malay noodles, pasta, croissants, and fresh fruits—something for every taste. The hotel’s design reflects a beautiful Baba-Nyonya style, creating a charming and relaxing holiday atmosphere. There is also a small rooftop water play area where kids can splash around and have lots of fun, which adds a lovely family-friendly touch to the stay. Overall, the experience was exceptional—truly a perfect stay from start to finish!

Overall, the stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka was fine. The hotel is modern, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the facilities are well maintained. It’s generally a good option for a short stay in Melaka. However, the restaurants are overrated for the price and expectations — food quality and variety did not quite match the branding. There were also noise issues, especially at certain times of the day, which affected the overall comfort. Service was inconsistent. While some staff were polite and helpful, there were a few service lapses that could be improved, particularly in terms of responsiveness and attentiveness. With better noise control, improved dining experience, and more consistent service standards, this hotel has the potential to be much better.

Few things I like about this hotel: 1. Plenty of paid parking in front of the hotel. You will need to download an app to pay for parking. 2. Walking distance to Jonker Street & restaurants. You will never have to stress about booking Grab to get to Jonker Street & get stuck in the traffic. 3. Free breakfast. Slightly chaotic as there’s limited tables and chairs at the dining area (next to reception), but breakfast provided are decent. I would suggest allowing guests to bring their breakfast & eat in hotel.

It was an okay hotel for us to stay as a family. The rooms are clean and toiletries are replaced daily. However, there are no facilities such as swimming pool and gym.

A proper hotel with its own parking compund. The hotel is quite new, with sufficient facilities like swimming pool and gym area. The room is spacious and complete with the basic toiletries. The aircond was good and cleanliness of the whole room is average. The only small problem with my room was the shower area. There's some sort of blockage with the drain but overall the shower experience was good with steady strong current flow. Overall, this hotel is very well worth the price of slightly above RM100.

While the facilities are not particularly luxurious, everything functioned as expected and met the basic needs of a short stay. The staff were the highlight of the experience. They were friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever I needed assistance. Their warm attitude made the overall stay feel more welcoming. The location is convenient, with easy access to Melaka’s main attractions such as Jonker Street and the river area. It’s suitable for guests looking for a fuss-free hotel that’s reasonably priced and comfortable enough for a couple of nights. Overall, Bayview Hotel Melaka is an average but reliable option—clean rooms, helpful staff, and a good base for exploring the city.

I had a minor accident in front of the hotel lobby—I hit the cement curb/bollard in front of the hotel, resulting in a slight scratch/damage to a floor tile (and this particular tile already had several previous damages from other people hitting it before). Subsequently, an Indian staff member (identified as a supervisor by his colleague) came and took pictures of the damaged tile. The issues I have with his conduct are as follows: He started chatting with a Chinese customer while pointing out the minor damage and simultaneously pointing towards my car, smiling and chuckling slightly as if mocking or being sarcastic. Then, another Chinese man (possibly a customer or staff) approached, and he again showed the damaged tile, smiling and chuckling lightly while pointing at my car. My issue here is: there were also Malay customers present; why did he choose the Chinese customers to point out this issue to, but not the Malay customers? He then approached me and said: ”You have hit and damaged this tile, and you need to know that I will report this to the hotel owner, and you should know that the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person, and I am certain you will have to pay for the damages.” What is the implication of saying, 'the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person'? I asked why he needed to make a scene and involve other customers to talk about the incident while laughing lightly and smiling as if being condescending, and why this incident was being exaggerated when he himself was aware and had mentioned that customers frequently hit that cement curb. Is it now my turn to be made to pay for the damage, after it has been hit multiple times by other customers previously? Am I being made a scapegoat to settle the costs of previous incidents? Where is the commitment to excellent Customer Service in terms of maintaining a customer's 'dignity' or 'reputation' (air muka) in front of other patrons? He made a fuss as if I had brought down the whole building. I am attaching photos of the tile damage and other pre-existing damages.

Shower head water pressure too strong, cannot be adjusted. Housekeeping early morning 9am starting to knock the door twice for make up room until I put do not disturb sign. 24 hours receptionist never answer the call, need to take 1 hour to deliver water and towel for me. Overall, the stay experience was not very good. The room was spacious but felt empty. The price was reasonable and offered value for money, but I would not choose to stay here again. This was a last minute booking. The view from balcony is nice!

It was a family suite, spacious beyond expectations. Did not cook so unsure if the induction cooker was still working. Fridge is working well, freezer and chiller were functioning. Beds were very clean, a huge saving grace! Location is awesome! Good view both from inside the room and along the common corridor. Concierge service is still good. However, the floor was very dusty and clearly not cleaned well. Main room door did not function properly. Instead of the usual push down, you actually have to pull the handle up. Wooden floors were also broken and risked cutting one's feet. Shower curtains were moldy. Inner toilet door (sliding type) could not lock. Living room sofa was thinned out. TVs were not working. Water was reduced. From 500ml bottle to 250ml bottles. Bedroom slippers are no longer provided. And you no longer need to tap room access card to access guest room levels.
