"The resort has a beautiful vibe and the views are stunning. It looks like it’s in need of some good cleaning and maintenance, apparently it’s an older resort that got taken over by a new company last year, so maybe they need some more time. Pros: - beautiful views - good breakfast, almond milk available for drinks at breakfast and you can even order matcha! Excellent service. Vegan options in terms of food are present but limited. - staff is very friendly Cons: - Room smelled humid/moldy. The bed felt damp. - when I asked the receptionist for a dehumidifier or if there was something to do about it I got looked at weird and just got air freshener offered, which is past the point. - Room didn’t look clean (see photos) - mold and chipped off paint everywhere in the room - no gym or fitness area, yoga classes for 300thb an hour instead Keep in mind that there are lots of stairs without railings, so not ideal for children or elderly people."

"🏨This hotel has an amazing view if you book the “sea view room”. However, here’s what you should know: ⬇️ 1. The room smelt so bad that you can’t even breath properly (I got the sea view room for me and my daughter with twin beds). The bad smell wouldn’t disappear even if you turn the AC on. 2. You won’t be able to open the sliding door to get fresh air because the bugs will come in your room. 3. We stayed over night and I have found a total of 6 centipedes crawling everywhere (floor, ceilings, patio, under the blanket, bathtub, etc.) Mosquitoes, flies and other bugs are everywhere in the bathroom with spider web. My daughter was scared to death. 😭 4. Our room was located on -4 level without elevator (carrying 2 big luggages by myself back and forth of their steep stairs) was a nightmare. 5. The breakfast didn’t have much choice for food. 6. We ordered lunch at their restaurant and it took forever (almost an hour) to arrive. Mind you, I only ordered satay chicken and steamed rice. 🙄 7. The location of the hotel is on top of the hill, going to a nearby beach or places to shop needs to take a taxi or grab. ☑️On a good note, they have infinity pools for you to enjoy a spectacular view will relaxing and sipping your cocktail. Do I recommend this hotel? It’s your choice. Will I come back and stay at this place again? Honestly, no."

"The hotel's location, ambiance, and breakfast were an incredible experience. Even though we stayed in a standard room, everything was excellent. Netflix was available on the TV. The breakfast area truly has a magnificent view. Breakfast is available in all varieties. We also had dinner there. The restaurant's prices are reasonable. Its proximity to nature is a great advantage.There is 2 different swimming pools. The second one has a sea view and was very fun to swim in.The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. You can get around the hotel by golf cart. I would love to stay longer. We will definitely be back."

"The hotel was beautiful and in good location for those who like the chaweng area. However, there was something major that was really disappointing for me when I am going to an hotel in a level like this. The shower was terrible, in a level that I can say that I couldn't really shower. In the beginning there were no hot water and after a little fix there were hot water but in a really low stream that you can't really shower. I tried to talk with the receptionist 3 times. The first time they said they will fix it and didn't, the second time I called them from my room cold and dirty with the towel and they came to fix buy as I said they didn't really fix it. After that I came to the reception to tell them that it's still not working and that it's disappointing and they said they have nothing to do!! This is not something that I would expect from a hotel like this. Another weird thing was that when we came to do check out, the receptionist forced us to write 5/5 review in front of her eyes and write the name of some of them in the review and she didn't really ask how was the experience for us. This stress wasn't comfortable for us."

"The location was perfect for us because it was so close to the ferry to Koh Phangan - very convenient! The beach was great for swimming (sand was quite pebbly but still ok). The pool area was also nice and we enjoyed swimming there. We stayed in a villa with a private pool which was fantastic for my 2 kids. The property was quiet and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. There were quite a few meal options nearby and the hotel restaurant was also quite good. My kids think the fruit shakes at Salad Buri were the best on our trip! Staff were lovely and tried really hard to make everything nice for us. We had a nice stay!"

"The hotel is good for young families. I went with my elderly parents, so it was difficult for them to move around, due to there being many steps everywhere. The service staff is generally very good, and the food is good too. Now for the areas of improvement: 1) On our first day at the beach, there was some miscommunication with a server. We asked for a drinks menu and it took him 20 mins to get it to us, so in the meantime, we decided what we want to get. When he finally came to us and we have him the order, he got upset that we didn't even look at the menu. After that, he got the order wrong. This wasn't entirely his fault, there was a genuine miscommunication, but again, he was very rude to my father about it. Then he started rolling his eyes and shaking his head at my dad. Who is 81 by the way. Luckily, the other days, we had different staff helping us and they were wonderful. 2) Housekeeping: Not the best. The room was quite dusty. Floor was quite sandy too. Tip: Ask for sea facing rooms. The other rooms are a little darker and the ground floor rooms can occasionally have a drainage smell, as the drain system is right outside the room."

VVieraskäyttäjäAmazing hospitality especially by the villa concierge Chan. The Banyan Tree team also provided many unique touchpoints that distinguish them from other hotels. For example, at check in, we were given a lotus flower and learnt how to fold the lotus petals. When we reached the villa, we were guided by Chan to release the lotus flower in the pool, symbolizing releasing bad karma and inviting positivity into our lives. Throughout the stay, there were various essential oils and pillow styles available to choose from. Guest services were also happy to comply with requests for ice, and any other additional requests we had, such as turn down services conducted at a later or earlier time, according to our itinerary. At checkout, we were also presented with a farewell drink, and a small token to remember our stay at the Banyan Tree Samui. In totality, this stay exceeded all our expectations and we look forward to returning in future.

The employees were friendly and they always had wore a big smile on their faces. The room was clean and tidy, which had a big open shower space. Taking a shower with air conditioner was a little chilly but it was totally tolerable because the whether was so hot outside. Swimming pool was stunning with a wide view of ocean. It was pity that we cannot arrive sooner to enjoy the sunset in the pool. We will definitely consider staying more days at Hansar next time.😄

Yyongsherntys⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) From the moment we arrived at Marasca, we knew we were in for something special. The resort is very well-secured at the entrance, giving us peace of mind right away. The front office team was simply superb—friendly, efficient, and attentive in just the right way. Our porter was quick to assist with our luggage, no fuss, no wait—just seamless service. Although early check-in wasn’t available when we arrived, the hotel’s app made all the difference. Through the app, we could explore the resort, make requests, and track our room status. Eventually, we received a notification that our room was ready—such a convenient system! The room itself? Immaculate! Spotless and thoughtfully designed with a massive bed, a sparkling clean shower area, a cozy separate seating space, and an automated toilet that lifts the cover for you. No-touch toilet seat? That’s a huge bonus! We were also greeted with a delightful welcome basket in the room, packed with special drinks, snacks, and even a handwritten postcard by the General Manager. It was such a warm and personal touch—it’s hard not to fall in love with the place instantly. We did try the spa, and while it’s on the pricier side, the service and facilities were absolutely worth every penny—top-notch from start to finish. Cabanas, the beach club at Marasca, is another highlight. Ultra-chilled vibes, beautifully designed with lush greenery, comfy furniture, and a view that opens right up to Chaweng Beach. It was the perfect place to unwind. Breakfast? Impressive. A great mix of Western and Asian dishes, plus a healthy spread of salads, pastries, yogurt, juices, and smoothies. The little touches like free healthy shots in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon truly made our stay even more enjoyable! Marasca also offers daily activities for guests, so you’ll never run out of things to do. To sum it all up: this is, hands down, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Huge shoutout to the amazing team—Mo, Tony, Ja, Chet, Jenny, Puppup, Andy, Pui, Golf, and the rest whose names I can’t recall. Your teamwork and hospitality were unforgettable. Завтраки тоже предлагали заказывать с доставкой на виллу: это конечно дороже, чем в обычном кафе, но все же доступно. Мы этой услугой не пользовались, так как пришлось бы заранее планировать время завтрака (зачем?). Пляж… мы проживали во время дневных отливов, потому ничего хорошего про море не скажу, а сам пляж чистый и почти безлюдный. Сюрпризы: бронировали виллу с тремя спальнями и гостиной + бассейн. При просмотре фото номеров ( во время бронирования) никак не мог понять расположение комнаты а также не мог понять приватность бассейна. Будет ли бассейн только нашими или его надо будет делить с гостями из какой-то другой виллы. Даже в Гугл мапс «погулял», но так до конца и не понял. По прибытию Приятно удивило то, что эта самая вилла состоит из двух отдельных домовую между которыми расположен бассейн ( не маленький, средних размеров). Один дом состоит из двух спален с отдельными входами и отдельными сан узлами, а другой дом сострит из огромной гостиной, столовой, кухни и спальни + 2 сан узла. Грандиозно! Еще патио. Из минусов: не очень стабильный wi fi, телевизор задумчивый. Пожалуй все. Еще кондиционеры не так быстро охлаждают, как хотелось бы, но это вина конструктива зданий. Огромная площадь остекления которое выполнено в одиночном исполнении из дерева. Угли в будущем поставить нормальный алюминиевые конструкции со стеклопакетами, то можно будет добиться лучшего эффекта от кондиционеров+ сэкономить на электроэнергии и улучшить звукоизоляцию. Тем не менее кондиционеры вполне справляются со своей задачей. Практически всегда было тихо. В целом все ок. Денег своих это место стоит. Хозяйка по имени Лана очень доброжелательна и безупречно говорит на русском.

My villa exceeded all expectations. Perched on the edge of the azure sea, it offered panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands. UuulissiVery nice stay, the hotel is off the beaten path, with very small private beach. 10 minutes walk to lamai beach. Very clean and beautiful room, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Nice pools. The breakfast was good, with both buffet and a la carte, quick service. Staff was lovely. The food was not really an highlight tho, would recommend going to the small town.

VVieraskäyttäjäReally incredible resort. Very boutique luxury experience, the staff are incredibly friendly and by the end of the trip could easily recognize us and expect our requests. The resort is beautiful, two great pools and a private beach located in a little cove blocked by land on both sides. Our villa had a nice view of the ocean with plenty of privacy for our pool. We had breakfast included, which was in a gorgeous restaurant with a fantastic food and views (pictured). We had a great vacation!

We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!
