Being just minutes away from Dadiwopu Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Urumqi Railway Bureau Diwopu Railway District Cultural Palace, Small Garden Tour and Magic Castle Park all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.
"My friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage.
Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi.
One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns).
For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials.
Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!"

"I had a long layover at Ürümqi International Airport—my first time there—and booked this hotel the night before. It was very easy to find; you don’t even need to leave the airport. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the exit gate.
Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious, clean, and appeared to be in a newly built or recently renovated hotel. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my short stay.
Breakfast was included in the rate, which was a nice bonus. I managed to get a solid 8 hours of incredibly comfortable sleep—something I really needed during my layover.
Overall, this is an excellent choice if you have an overnight layover at Ürümqi. Convenient, clean, and restful."

"Mixed experience. Some great amenities including excellent laundry facilities and service, free tea and coffee machines in reception and third floor communal area, powerful hot showers, comfortable beds, great location. But we had some difficulties - the aircon didn't work in our room despite the room we'd booked being advertised with independent control air con. When we reported the problem to reception they came up and insisted it worked but it didn't. We had to call them again for them to come and look again before they finally moved us to a different room with a window that we could open (and indeed fully functioning Aircon). Also difficult for foreigners to access the WiFi as you need to have a Chinese phone number to receive a log in code by SMS, which expires as soon as your device disconnects. The reception staff were helpful in using their phone number to get a code but it's inconvenient to have to do that multiple times across multiple different devices. So a nice hotel in a good location but with a bit more friction than you might expect for the price."

"We had a great experience staying here for 4 days. It's exactly like in the photos and close to the train station. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent for vegetarians; everything was clean and the bed is wonderful. I also liked that it's possible to do laundry for free and soap is provided. A special mention to the staff, who were very kind, polite, and helpful. We felt welcome and comfortable here.
The only aspect for improvement is that the common area had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and people smoke inside the hotel even though the Trip ad says ”no smoking in public areas” and ”non-smoking floor.” Because of this, even the non-smoking room had a slight smell of smoke. If this smoking issue were improved, it would be a 10/10."

"Mercure has always been our first choice accommodation whenever we travel in China. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location is very convenient.
Our stay at Mercure Urumqi, Xinjiang, we would like to especially commend Miss Wang Yue Yue (王跃跃）at the front desk for her warm smile, attentiveness, and excellent service. Knowing that we had to catch an early morning flight, she thoughtfully arranged with the kitchen to prepare a packed breakfast for us to take along. There's a shopping building just at the corner across from the hotel, we loved the food market inside there, they have varieties of food such as fresh fruit, veges, bread, cakes and everything!
I liked their breakfast, not too much, not too little, freshly cooked local meals in buffet style, enjoyed eating the congee with a little seasoning. They have toast with nice flavoued jam and marmalade as well, it was more than enough❤️
We also slept very well, quiet and comfortable.

MMok YakThis is an excellent hotel located in the coty centre close to many nice restaurants of various types of food to cater for the travellers of different nationalities. Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff especially those young and friendly ladies at the Front desk. Free pick up service was provided and need to be pre arranged prior to arrival. MMrs JhaAlex, the lady from reception was so helpful and courteous. She was all smiles and made us feel very welcome. When she found out that I was an IHG member, she offered me a bottled welcome drink,
From 6pm to 2am, the hotel offered free beef noodles and wanton soup (not sure whether this was based on room type). Food was good, but the server/cook on the night of 15 October was a nightmare. He was unhappy when we disturbed him to ask for a bowl of noodles. All he was interested in was to play on his handphone. He shouted at a guest who was trying to be helpful by returning used bowls and utensils. Honestly, he should not be working in the hospitality industry.
The hotel is located in a residential area with no restaurants or shops nearby, but it is clean and modern. Wanda mall is about 2km away. We walked there.

Clean, spacious ,comfortable. the room is modern and somewhat looks futuristic. even small details are designed for comfort such as mirror with extra light on it, anti-slip bathroom mat, clear label on lights switch on/off so guest know what button for what lights, automatic night light turn on when guest wake up at night to go to washroom to ensure guest can see the walking path (been travelling for 6.5months and these are items that are almost never seen even in big hotel chain).
the receptionist team are also warm and welcoming. Special thank you to Xiao Xia and Noor who help with my check in and extend my stay.
Reasonable price, even offer discount on 2nd night (different person offer different discount, so i choose the best offer.lol)
This place also close by to many eateries and 4minutes walking to bus stop where multiple buses stop there (i.e.there is bus from airport to here, i.e.take metro and change to bus. the bus will stop here).
Convenient for solo traveller who rely on public transport to explore the surrounding (download 百度 or AMAP application to see route and bus timing in real time.百度is better though).
They are also available a wechat away for any questions or recommendations that you'd like to know.
Delicious breakfast!! Still thinking about it. taste like home cooking style.
