"Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well managed although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite...."

"This was our second time staying here but not so pleasant this time Food was average And some of the staffs didn’t pay attention to the room issues like flash not working in morning ; requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly ) Common washroom area not cleaned"

"Good- The hospitality and standards of taj were very well maintained. The garden area is beautiful. Breakfast was great!! Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense. The individual rooms are much better"

"We stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary, it was pleasant stay. its very calm place and greenery place, food was good, room was neat and clean, staffs were very supportive and professional. They arranged candle light dinner for us which was very nice."

"”The WelcomHeritage Fernhills Palace in Ooty, a magnificent 150-year-old heritage property once owned by the King of Mysore, offers a truly regal experience set across 50 sprawling acres. This colonial masterpiece showcases exquisite teakwood craftsmanship and elegant drapery throughout its intimate setting of just 18 rooms. Our check-in was seamless, and we were graciously upgraded to the Regent Suite – a stunning accommodation featuring a spacious living area, grand 10-seater dining table, bedroom, powder room, and luxurious bathroom. While the property shows some signs of its age, the staff maintains its historic charm admirably. The palace houses a majestic restaurant, a dedicated high tea area, and a bar (temporarily closed but reopening soon). Adding to its natural charm, peaceful Gaurs and wild pigs can often be spotted grazing on the lawns. The service was exceptional, particularly in the restaurant where Chef Iqbal Hussain went above and beyond, preparing special off-menu dishes at our request. The food quality was consistently outstanding. Though this grand palace would benefit from some careful renovation, it remains a remarkable destination. To enhance the guest experience, we'd suggest adding activities like barbecues, campfires, and children's programs to complement the property's inherent majesty.”"
