"The hotel environment is nice, but the facilities are quite basic. What made me really angry was that I left my pajamas on the bed, and when I came back at night, although the bed had been made, my pajamas were thrown on the floor! They could have easily been placed on the nearby chair, but instead, they were tossed on the ground! Even if they had accidentally fallen, the staff could have at least picked them up. But they didn’t even bother! It completely ruined my mood. I’m so upset!"

"Lovely place. Highly recommend! If you’re looking for a proper warm place to stay in budapest, this is definitely your best choice! The room, lobby and kitchen are super clean and tidy. The hotel staffs are welcoming. The location is perfect, where you can find a supermarket within 2 min walk and the tram station within 5 min walk! Also the breakfast are delicious and well-priced! What a great deal!"

"The hotel is conveniently located right next to Budapest Keleti train station, making it easy to travel around the city. It’s only about five tram stops to the city centre, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If you get a room facing the main road, you’ll also enjoy a great view of the train station. However, there are some downsides. The air conditioning doesn’t work during autumn and winter, so the only option for ventilation is to open the window. Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely noisy since it’s right next to a main road where police and ambulance sirens go off very frequently, making it hard to rest. Additionally, luggage storage isn’t free—you have to pay by the hour, which feels a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a great choice for location and convenience, but not ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet or comfort in cooler seasons."

"Hotel was OK. I booked bigger room and was nice. Breakfast also OK. I read some negative reviews and is true, the bathroom need update. Also environment in hotel have some limits, eq. dirty elevator. Many info what is prohibited is doing unfriendly feeling. Eq. they gave me sign paper, where was indicated ”food from restaurant is prohibited to bring to the room - if explored, will be fined by 8 EUR”. Later I understand - the meaning was food from breakfast, but statement like that can make misunderstanding - could be better explained. Generally I liked hotel, also was walkable to city center."

For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent as it is facing the parliament building, which is the most beautiful architecture in the city. The breakfast is delicious with a great variety of good choices. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. The bathtub and shower are separate. Overall it's very good value for money."

"Location is very good. Supermarket or 24 hours store just within 5 mins walk. Transportation is very convenience. Room is big and cozy. Halászbástya just behind the hotel around 15 mins walk. we enjoyed breakfast time and stay."

"Good location very close to the Parlament building and Margaret bridge areas. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. A quiet location for sleeping at night. A fridge is included in the room but there is no complimentary bottles of water so you will need to buy your own. Breakfast was not included in the price and, if required, will cost 15€ per day. Overall, good value and a comfortable base for sightseeing around the Parliament and Danube area. This hotel is recommended."
