"The hotel is conveniently located right next to Budapest Keleti train station, making it easy to travel around the city. It’s only about five tram stops to the city centre, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If you get a room facing the main road, you’ll also enjoy a great view of the train station. However, there are some downsides. The air conditioning doesn’t work during autumn and winter, so the only option for ventilation is to open the window. Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely noisy since it’s right next to a main road where police and ambulance sirens go off very frequently, making it hard to rest. Additionally, luggage storage isn’t free—you have to pay by the hour, which feels a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a great choice for location and convenience, but not ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet or comfort in cooler seasons."

"We really appreciated our stay at Corinthia. We got an early check in and the front desk associate upgraded our room to a deluxe. The room is spacious and the bed felt like a cloud. We stayed at the hotel for a special occasion and the hotel sent a bottle of sparkling wine and cake up to our room which made it even more special. The hotel is very well located near tram, metro and bus. Plenty of restaurants around. It was a very good experience and we’ll for sure stay at the same hotel if we ever come back to budapest."

"I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much."

"El hotel está bastante bien y todo muy limpio y moderno, el problema que por innovar con la app de la propia cadena nos dio fallos todos los días. El primer día para el checkin no había recepción abierta y tardamos en realizar todos los pasos para poder acceder, no lo recomiendo para personas mayores que no se desenvuelvan bien con la tecnología. Después la app dejó de funcionar y no nos abría las puertas de recepción ni de la habitación."

"Super friendly staff and clean room! The bed was really comfortable and easy to access to the tram! I love to walk, so I walked to the metro station, but it was still easy to transport and safe neighborhood! There is not much surrounding, so it was pretty quiet during the night! I would love to stay again!"

"Super convenient just next to Madame Tussauds. I travelled in Nov so it’s also right next to the Christmas market and main shopping street. Came by train and it’s only 10 mins walk to the hotel from the nearest metro. Its also an easy walk to the castle and for a stroll next tot the river. Due to the location, everywhere s walkable and k don’t even need to use the metro for a 3 days trip. I Room is well equipped but due to that, it’s a little small but comfortable enough. Breakfast is okay with good options."

"Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food. Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing."

"Overall, our stay at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill Hotel was okay as there were some areas that could be improved. The hotel front area had a warm and inviting ambience, which was nice. Upon arrival, we requested a top-floor room, but the staff recommended keeping our current room as it offered a better view. We appreciated their insight and decided to stay where we were. The hotel’s location was decent—about a 20–30 minute walk to the city area, making it manageable. The bedroom itself was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. However, the bathroom and toilet were quite small, which made them feel a bit cramped. Additionally, while the room was clean, the bathroom was less so. We noticed hair left behind, and there was little to no body wash gel provided. The towels were dirty upon arrival, requiring us to request new ones on the first day. One frustrating experience was with the housekeeping staff. On our second morning, we wanted to sleep in, but were interrupted twice—once at 10 AM and again at 11 AM—by a cleaner knocking to check when we would be leaving. When I confirmed that the checkout time was indeed 12 noon, I didn’t understand why they felt the need to rush us out. It felt unnecessary and a bit intrusive. Despite these issues, our stay was generally fine. If the hotel could improve housekeeping efficiency, ensure cleaner bathrooms and amenities, and provide a bit more space in the bathroom area, it would be an even better experience."

"The hotel is right on the Buda fisherman bastion the best location,a little pricey. Disappointed due to no air conditioning hotel said they put off air conditioning during this season Starting October. Most of Europe does this. They instructed us to just open windows,if a person has respiratory issues it would affect their breathing. The temperature of the room is not consistent near the window is cold away from the window is hot, Otherwise it is a good place to stay."

"Very nice hotel! Perfect location - metro station, market, shops are nearby, pleasant park right in front of hotel. Easy to visit lots of attractions and interesting places on foot. Great view from a balcony, a lot of space in the room. Comfortable beds, bathcoats and slippers are also available on request. Tablet for ordering room services and communication with reception is very convenient as well. Good hairdryer in the bathroom, not like usual hotel small hairdryers. Delicious breakfasts, there was something new to choose every day. Very friendly and helpful staff 🩷 The only things I would like to have in the room - more hooks for clothes and towels in the bathroom and the second feet towel for the second guest, we had only one."
