"The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed
Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.
Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.
Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee."

"From the moment I booked this hotel it was all perfect!
Perfection improved when we got a free upgrade.
The reception staff were very professional.
The hotel is modern and clean.
Room was really clean with crisp white bedding and pristine modular type bathroom.
There was a hairdryer (as expected) , there was an iron and ironing board (not expected).
The hotel is extremely central but there was little or no street noise for being next to a city road and above a Wetherspoons and our room was only on the first floor. Bath towels were sparkling clean and a great size. In room soaps etc were very nice too.
I had a great sleep however my husband has a less than perfect sleep due to my snoring and having a lovely comfy bed. Ha ha!
I will definitely have this as a go to hotel when I’m in Glasgow. 10/10 for a great visit."

"Basic hotel but in an ideal location short walk to Sauchihall Street, great restaurants close by. Antipasti if you like Italian. Sichuan house, brilliant Chinese restaurant.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Free WiFi also a free drink from the bar. We didn't have breakfast we went out to eat but there is breakfast for an extra £12 per day if you prefer."

"The hotel was perfect from the friendly reception staff on arrival to the breakfast the following morning.
The room was immaculate, not new and sparkly, but tastefully decorated with quality well maintained equipment, fittings and furnishings.
All the basics, bed, shower, toilet and basin worked and performed superbly.
Bedding, covers, sheets and pillows were pristine, crisp, and the mattress was exceedingly comfortable.
Plenty of hanging space, iron and board, hairdryer and fridge. Spotlessly clean.
Service for breakfast was unusually efficient for a large hotel. They knew exactly how to cope with a busy breakfast service. Buffet for drinks and cold items, service for Cooked. The full scottish breakfast kept me going all day.
Will definitely return to this hotel."

"Right next to Queen Street station in the centre of Glasgow. Spotless room and bathroom. Kept running out of milk jiggers but reception and room service restocked them straight away. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Road outside is being dug up for the renovation of the square but once inside the hotel we heard nothing. Left bags to collect prior to catching train. All went smoothly. Will be staying there again. Very impressed."

"I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow and had a lovely experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. The room itself was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for two people - comfortable, cosy, and with everything we needed. We had two beds which were really comfortable, and the room included some nice touches like a coffee machine, plenty of towels, and good quality toiletries.
The location was also great - close to the city centre, easy to get around, and quiet enough at night for a good sleep. Everything felt safe and well looked after.
The only slight downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times. For example, when calling reception for something, it sometimes took quite a while for them to respond or bring what we asked for. It wasn’t a big issue, but something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry.
Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite, the hotel had great amenities, and the atmosphere felt relaxing and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place to stay - clean, comfortable, and convenient. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again."

"A comfortable hotel and good value for money.
However finding it was an unexpected challenge. Walking from Hyndland station what appeared to be the hotel appeared as I passed the hospital on the left. But where was the entrance? No signs along the footpath, so turned left onto Great Western Road to arrive at a petrol station. I could see the Leonardo , but again no entrance and no obvious way to find one. So, off I set back to the road where the hospital was located. I could see the hotel but no sign of any reception. Eventually I walked round the back and found my way in. Only the following morning did I discover that there was a pedestrian cut through to the petrol station
I've been to many hotels in my 73 years, but this one went out of it's way to play hard to find.
Maybe the owners assume everyone will arrive car and their satnav will guide them .
My advice to the owners. Put some signs up"

"My room was immaculate and I was well situated to take a tour which left from Buchanan bus station, which was literally a two minute walk. I appreciated this greatly since the tour left early at 7:45 AM. I was very happy with everything …you’re in the city center And everything was better than expected."

VVieraskäyttäjäCute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city.
Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

CCARY2707The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there.
Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food.

VvicchenggWe enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered.

Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night.
Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern.
Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it.
I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive
Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management.
Won’t be returning or recommending.

The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant.
One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers.
Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow.

Oomi96Great room, very spacious and amazing view out on the river and SEC. Some basic things such as the very old AC panel and low quality bathroom door, and toilet seat were a bit surprising. Also placement of sockets is a bit of a nightmare, just to make tea you have to lift the whole tray and put the kettle next to your bed. The fridge was also not plugged in and if i wanted to use it I think i would have to pull it all the way out. Other than these small things my stay was great and I appreciate the complimentary snacks and waters.

SSapphirexIbis Styles Glasgow Central is a good location to stay should you intend to layover in Glasgow. It's about 10 minutes walking distance from Glasgow Central Station and within 15 minutes from fast food eateries and shopping places. Rooms are clean and basic amenities are provided for. Breakfast is good and incorporates a mix of international and English cuisines.
HOWEVER, I have had a bad experience regarding a certain payment. I booked this hotel via Trip.com and have prepaid for my stay. When I checked in on 17/7, I was told by the receptionist of that day that my card details were needed. I was assured that there would be no deduction performed and that the details were only required should there be incurred damages in my room during the stay. Yet, on the same day evening, I received a notification that 143 pounds had been deducted. I questioned the receptionist of that day and was reassured, and I quote: ”There was this transaction made to confirm that your card is not a dunce and is payable.”
The next day, before checking out, I reconfirmed with the receptionist of that day (18/7) if the money would be refunded to me. After checking on their end, they said that the money will be refunded. This morning (19/7), I have just received another notification that the status of the 143-pounds transaction has changed from pending to approved. I am disappointed and upset regarding this, and I would like to urge future travellers to be wary of this incident.

CCKPanOlen asunut Glasgowssa yli 50 vuotta. Tämä on palaamisvierailu kotikaupunkiini. Olin miellyttävästi yllättynyt löytää tämä R-hotelli suositeltu Trip.com.
Se on täysin uusi ja mielenkiintoinen kokemus jäädä niin viileä paikka. Henkilöstö on erittäin ystävällinen ja kohtelias. Näin muutaman päivän matkustajia, jotka olivat kiinnostavia ihmisiä, jotka olivat vanhempien parien Argentiinasta, kahdesta ranskalaisista naisista, yhdestä Kaliforniasta ja mantereen kiinalaisista QinDaosta. Minua kiehtoi tavata heidät niin tervetulleessa hotellissa.
Nautin todella uutta jäädä yli hirvittävä ja hirvittävä kaupunki ja löysin Revolver hyvä piilopaikka, ei mainita tilat tarjotaan katolla yläkerrassa kuten sauna ja spa. Erinomainen hiljainen ja aurinkoinen paikka. Nautin yksinäisyydestäni siellä!
