The hotel was perfect from the friendly reception staff on arrival to the breakfast the following morning. The room was immaculate, not new and sparkly, but tastefully decorated with quality well maintained equipment, fittings and furnishings. All the basics, bed, shower, toilet and basin worked and performed superbly. Bedding, covers, sheets and pillows were pristine, crisp, and the mattress was exceedingly comfortable. Plenty of hanging space, iron and board, hairdryer and fridge. Spotlessly clean. Service for breakfast was unusually efficient for a large hotel. They knew exactly how to cope with a busy breakfast service. Buffet for drinks and cold items, service for Cooked. The full scottish breakfast kept me going all day. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

Sijainti oli erittäin hyvä, kun oli lyhyen kävelymatkan Glasgow Central junaasema ja kaupungin keskustaan. Reception staff check-in friendly, however the room we were given had not been cleaned ... Return to reception and they had apologised and changed our room with a slight upgrade. Tämä huone oli suojaton ja kaikki tilat antoivat sen hieman ylimääräinen ylellisyys kosketus; käyttämällä mukava valkoinen vaatetus, sukkahousut, tee, kahvia ja kuumaa suklaa. Rakastin kestävyys pyrkimyksiä heidän WC-pohjainen kasvi ja vegan ystävällinen! Kylpyhuoneessa oli sadesuihku, jossa oli todella hyvä paine ja helposti tarpeeksi hallita ja kylpyhuone. Ainoat kusit olivat siellä oli pieni pyyhe rautaa kylpyhuoneessa, joka oli hieman taistelua sopia ne kuivaamaan. TV:n toimii vain viime yönä. On ollut vain yksi hissi toiminnassa ja toinen oli pois käytöstä, joten parasta lähteä missä tahansa paljon aikaa.

The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there. Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food.

The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed  Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.  Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.  Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

Friendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night. Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern. Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it. I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management. Won’t be returning or recommending.

We found it difficult driving and finding the hotel. This was due to road diversion. However the staff were helpful in guiding us. Good breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant. One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers. Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow.

We stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
