"From the moment I booked this hotel it was all perfect! Perfection improved when we got a free upgrade. The reception staff were very professional. The hotel is modern and clean. Room was really clean with crisp white bedding and pristine modular type bathroom. There was a hairdryer (as expected) , there was an iron and ironing board (not expected). The hotel is extremely central but there was little or no street noise for being next to a city road and above a Wetherspoons and our room was only on the first floor. Bath towels were sparkling clean and a great size. In room soaps etc were very nice too. I had a great sleep however my husband has a less than perfect sleep due to my snoring and having a lovely comfy bed. Ha ha! I will definitely have this as a go to hotel when I’m in Glasgow. 10/10 for a great visit."

"I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow and had a lovely experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. The room itself was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for two people - comfortable, cosy, and with everything we needed. We had two beds which were really comfortable, and the room included some nice touches like a coffee machine, plenty of towels, and good quality toiletries. The location was also great - close to the city centre, easy to get around, and quiet enough at night for a good sleep. Everything felt safe and well looked after. The only slight downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times. For example, when calling reception for something, it sometimes took quite a while for them to respond or bring what we asked for. It wasn’t a big issue, but something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite, the hotel had great amenities, and the atmosphere felt relaxing and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place to stay - clean, comfortable, and convenient. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again."

"The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed  Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.  Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.  Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee."

"I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC on 13 February for a gig over at the OVO Hydro. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was impressed. A special mention has to go to Sarah in Reception who made my stay extra special with a drink voucher and upgrade to a corner room which I was delighted about. The hotel is ideally located for those attending events at the OVO Hydro and SEC venues - it’s literally across the road and a 2-5 minute walk! The room overlooked both the OVO Hydro and the world-famous crane, a Glasgow icon. It was clean, well-presented and I liked the extra touch of having a hairdryer in-room as well as an ice bucket for bubbles, and the obligatory tea/coffee. The bed was comfortable and I had a rested sleep in it, and the shower works really well. I will 100% return to this hotel and hopefully will be treated like a well-valued guest again!"

"The hotel is very clean and tidy, and it’s quite close to the train station. However, it’s a bit of a walk to the other Queen Street Station, around 10 minutes, which is still acceptable. There is also a Lidl supermarket behind the hotel. It’s located by the river, but I wouldn’t recommend going to the other side of the river at night."

"The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there. Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food."

"Spotless, had been to many hotels before but the comfort level of the beds in this hotel was even far more than the home ones. Very highly recommended. Superb location. "I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — close to many restaurants, shops, and local attractions, which made exploring the area so convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Staff were friendly and always ready to help, making me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

The hotel was perfect from the friendly reception staff on arrival to the breakfast the following morning. The room was immaculate, not new and sparkly, but tastefully decorated with quality well maintained equipment, fittings and furnishings. All the basics, bed, shower, toilet and basin worked and performed superbly. Bedding, covers, sheets and pillows were pristine, crisp, and the mattress was exceedingly comfortable. Plenty of hanging space, iron and board, hairdryer and fridge. Spotlessly clean. Service for breakfast was unusually efficient for a large hotel. They knew exactly how to cope with a busy breakfast service. Buffet for drinks and cold items, service for Cooked. The full scottish breakfast kept me going all day. Sijainti oli erittäin hyvä, kun oli lyhyen kävelymatkan Glasgow Central junaasema ja kaupungin keskustaan. Reception staff check-in friendly, however the room we were given had not been cleaned ... Return to reception and they had apologised and changed our room with a slight upgrade. Tämä huone oli suojaton ja kaikki tilat antoivat sen hieman ylimääräinen ylellisyys kosketus; käyttämällä mukava valkoinen vaatetus, sukkahousut, tee, kahvia ja kuumaa suklaa. On ollut vain yksi hissi toiminnassa ja toinen oli pois käytöstä, joten parasta lähteä missä tahansa paljon aikaa.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

Friendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night. Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern. Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it. I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management. Won’t be returning or recommending.

I really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant. One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers. Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow.

We found it difficult driving and finding the hotel. This was due to road diversion. However the staff were helpful in guiding us. Good breakfast.

Great room, very spacious and amazing view out on the river and SEC. Some basic things such as the very old AC panel and low quality bathroom door, and toilet seat were a bit surprising. Also placement of sockets is a bit of a nightmare, just to make tea you have to lift the whole tray and put the kettle next to your bed. The fridge was also not plugged in and if i wanted to use it I think i would have to pull it all the way out. Other than these small things my stay was great and I appreciate the complimentary snacks and waters.

I am rarely 'blown away' by hotels but Citizen M truly blew me away and exceeded all my expectations. First of all, the staff member who greeted me was super friendly, asked me about my trip and the check in process was probably the easiest, fastest and most modern process I have ever experienced anywhere. When I walked into the room, I almost thought I walked into the wrong room because the size of the bed was HUGE (much bigger and better in real life than displayed in the pictures). The room itself was also much bigger than I expected, and so very modern and 'cool' like a spaceship. It had a homely feel and had some truly unique features like an ipad to control the TV, the lights (brightness and colour - very cool again!!), blinds (and more) and you could even play games with the lights. There was a moment where I truly felt I could spend an entire day just in the hotel room because it was so fun being in there and I looked forward to coming home to my hotel every night.
