Travelled in a big group consisting of adults and kids ranging 1.5-10 yrs old. Overall experience was very good! And would definitely come back again. Location- nearby Batam ferry terminal (5-7mins drive), a lot of cafes, coffee, spas, marts within the area. To travel to grand Batam mall and penguin market is only 3-5 mins via grab. Rooms- good size, clean and basic. No bathtub but there’s inbuilt hair dryer. Breakfast Spread was scrumptious. Good variety. Amenities: Lobby was spacious, lots of space to sit and relax while waiting for friends/grab. Swimming pool was in the next block, pool is at 1.2m minimum and it is really windy, not so ideal for kids to stay long. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The doors’ sound proofing is a tad weaker. Could hear my neighbors conversations walking toward lift lobby, or the nearby buildings speaker quite clearly. But the overall experience is good that this is only a small part of it.

Resort is conveniently situated near Singapore Harbourfront, just a short 45 minutes ferry ride. Just upon arrival at the ferry terminal and passing the custom, you will be greeted by a group of the resort staffs and served with bottle water & light snacks while waiting for the buggy to send you to the resort for check in. Upon arrival at the resort lobby, you will be greeted again by the staffs and welcome drink & hot towel will be served & staffs will assist with the check in. Staffs are super friendly from the moment u step into the resort & make u feel homely. Beds are comfy & the views from balcony are amazing. The only downside is the breakfast choices are limited & the dishes are all similar without much changes throughout our stays. The lunch & dinner menus food items are not much choices to choose. Amenities at the resort are limited. The TV channels can’t receive Singapore & Malaysia channels. As the resort are still new hope they can improve on these too. Overall it’s a great place for a short staycation to relax & refresh from the busy city life. Surroundings are scenic to calm the mind & soul. 👍👍

A very good It was a decent place for a staycation. the room was neat and clean, and the facilities were good as well. There was a wide variety of options at the breakfast area, although one small downside for me was that many of the good dishes were cooked with beef (which I’m allergic to). Overall, the experience was amazing. The hotel basically has everything you need, and for a one-night stay, the price is very affordable. I paid around RM250 (about SGD 85) for a night. I would highly recommend this place to couples and families who are travelling on a budget.

This is a first time I’m staying here, perfect location as for family can walk to the one Batam mall and opp there’s a lotus supermarket.  Pool and gym just nearby, convenient for parents to workout while kids having good time in the pool. I loved Batam View so much! I'll be honest, I wanted to stay at Turi Resort, where I normally stay, but they were fully booked. So I tried Batam View, and I was flabbergasted. I had a room in the main building with sea view, and it was stunning. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, modern, comfortable. The hotel's beach and pool are both amazing, and I was so happy to find a really deep pool (rare in Asia), plus a very clean beach. I had an unforgettable dinner at the beach, too. The staff are universally lovely, attentive and professional! I saw the villas and definitely want to stay there next time! I spent a lovely 6 nights there and cannot wait to return!

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is generally clean and the front desk staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. The room itself was tidy and the bathroom was in good condition. However, we stayed in Room 426 and had a very difficult time sleeping. The bed makes a lot of loud noise every time you turn over, which made it almost impossible to get a good night's rest. If you are looking for quality sleep, I would recommend requesting a different room. The worst part is I forgot to ask for changing another room😇😇😇

I had a truly wonderful stay at Grand Eska Hotel Batam! The food was absolutely delicious be it the breakfast or the weekly Saturday BBQ and the hotel had such a vibrant atmosphere with events that made the experience even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to Felix! Who went above and beyond throughout our stay. From recommending great dinner spots to even assisting us with purchasing gifts, his thoughtful service really made us feel well taken care of. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and genuine—thank you, Felix! What stood out most was the warm hospitality from every staff member we encountered. No matter where you go in the hotel, you’re always greeted with a bright smile that makes you feel at home. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Grand Eska Hotel Batam for anyone visiting Batam—you’ll be well fed, well cared for, and leave with a big smile.

A lovely place. The staff are really kind and friendly. Wehad a nice view of the pool. The only drawback is that it is very far from the city- about 40 minute drive by Grab.

IHG. Holiday Inn. It seems like this hotel at Batam has been neglected. Many of the amenities are lacking in maintenance. The pool, gym, kids club.....the list goes on. Staff are excellent. But why has the hotel not kept up with maintaining it well when it's such a popular hotel. Covid took havoc world wide. But many hotels have bounced back and are welcoming guests with renewed hope. Hotels needs to constantly upgrade so that guests want to keep coming back. Slippery walkways, itchy body after sleeping on the bed and toilets that lack are some of the features at Holiday Inn Batam. Time to see how you can improve your rating. Its a great hotel if you improve on the upkeep. Never too late to start. Looking forward to coming back in 2026 if there are improvements.
