"Best stay with this hotel. But bad experience booked with trip.com. As we arrived for check in there was a problem, receptionist said they dont receive our booking from trip.com. After 15mins later, they found out my booking under *******. They offered me for other room because my room curently full. A bit happy because they offer for 2single beds extra n room upgrade for free. I really love the room. Very spacious. On 2nd day we got our room as we booked before. Anyway i really happy with this hotel. Thankyou."

"Location was very near to Harbour Bar Ferry Terminal. Stayed in the suite room, and it was spacious. Safe box and aircon were faulty and were rectified within 30mins. Stayed for 4 nights, but only ate the breakfast once as the food were cold. Receptionists were friendly."

No plug sockets accessible by the bed. Please note the sockets in the room are Singapore 3 pin plug sockets.
Very, very noisy all day and night from passing traffic, loud motorbikes and engine noises if your room is road facing.
Luke warm breakfast, can't be particularly healthy."

VVieraskäyttäjäTravelled in a big group consisting of adults and kids ranging 1.5-10 yrs old. Overall experience was very good! And would definitely come back again.
Location- nearby Batam ferry terminal (5-7mins drive), a lot of cafes, coffee, spas, marts within the area.
To travel to grand Batam mall and penguin market is only 3-5 mins via grab.
Rooms- good size, clean and basic. No bathtub but there’s inbuilt hair dryer.
Breakfast Spread was scrumptious. Good variety.
Amenities: Lobby was spacious, lots of space to sit and relax while waiting for friends/grab. Swimming pool was in the next block, pool is at 1.2m minimum and it is really windy, not so ideal for kids to stay long.
All the staff were very friendly and pleasant.
The doors’ sound proofing is a tad weaker. Could hear my neighbors conversations walking toward lift lobby, or the nearby buildings speaker quite clearly. But the overall experience is good that this is only a small part of it.

All of the staff are extremely helpful.
The cleaners are excellent.
The pool view is lovely.
The room is good, the bed is big and very comfortable.
The hairdresser is absolutely amazing.
Gym is very good - lots of variety of exercises.
Bad points
Food is not good: ordered vegetarian stir fry and specifically stated no chicken as allergic; it arrived with chicken underneath the vegetables! Husband ordered battered prawns which came unpeeled, then battered, so totally inedible.
Wouldn’t let me put the drinks on the room (even though they did it a few days earlier), then refused to let me leave until the bill was paid. I had no money with me. So had to wait until they managed to contact my husband to come and pay.
Spa - the facial was the most painful experience I’ve had in a spa. My face was literally pulled and scrubbed within an inch of its life. The actual face mask was scrubbed off. My face looked 10 years older rather than younger.
Depends where your room is, depends if you hear the 5 o’clock Mosque calling.
The gym was like a sauna - too hot to do any real cardio work - but that’s my personal preference.

Just upon arrival at the ferry terminal and passing the custom, you will be greeted by a group of the resort staffs and served with bottle water & light snacks while waiting for the buggy to send you to the resort for check in. Upon arrival at the resort lobby, you will be greeted again by the staffs and welcome drink & hot towel will be served & staffs will assist with the check in. Staffs are super friendly from the moment u step into the resort & make u feel homely. Beds are comfy & the views from balcony are amazing. The only downside is the breakfast choices are limited & the dishes are all similar without much changes throughout our stays. The lunch & dinner menus food items are not much choices to choose. Amenities at the resort are limited. The TV channels can’t receive Singapore & Malaysia channels. As the resort are still new hope they can improve on these too.
Overall it’s a great place for a short staycation to relax & refresh from the busy city life. Surroundings are scenic to calm the mind & soul. 👍👍

FFlying NibbaA very good It was a decent place for a staycation. the room was neat and clean, and the facilities were good as well. There was a wide variety of options at the breakfast area, although one small downside for me was that many of the good dishes were cooked with beef (which I’m allergic to).
Overall, the experience was amazing. The hotel basically has everything you need, and for a one-night stay, the price is very affordable. I paid around RM250 (about SGD 85) for a night. I would highly recommend this place to couples and families who are travelling on a budget.

Pool and gym just nearby, convenient for parents to workout while kids having good time in the pool. Last day after breakfast we spent time playing pool just outside the breakfast area. Children enjoyed it.

🌅 Location & Scenery
The resort sits right by the water near the iconic Barelang Bridge, so the views—especially during sunrise and sunset—are beautiful. It’s quiet, peaceful, and away from the city crowd, making it perfect for families who want to unwind.
🏨 Rooms
The rooms are spacious and clean, and many come with balcony views facing the sea or the pool. Perfect for families with kids who need space to move around. Housekeeping was quick and helpful throughout our stay.

DDr. ErikI loved Batam View so much! I'll be honest, I wanted to stay at Turi Resort, where I normally stay, but they were fully booked. So I tried Batam View, and I was flabbergasted. I had a room in the main building with sea view, and it was stunning. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, modern, comfortable. The hotel's beach and pool are both amazing, and I was so happy to find a really deep pool (rare in Asia), plus a very clean beach. I had an unforgettable dinner at the beach, too. The staff are universally lovely, attentive and professional! I saw the villas and definitely want to stay there next time! I spent a lovely 6 nights there and cannot wait to return!

KKirvyI had a truly wonderful stay at Grand Eska Hotel Batam! The food was absolutely delicious be it the breakfast or the weekly Saturday BBQ and the hotel had such a vibrant atmosphere with events that made the experience even more enjoyable.
A special shoutout to Felix! Who went above and beyond throughout our stay. From recommending great dinner spots to even assisting us with purchasing gifts, his thoughtful service really made us feel well taken care of. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and genuine—thank you, Felix!
What stood out most was the warm hospitality from every staff member we encountered. No matter where you go in the hotel, you’re always greeted with a bright smile that makes you feel at home.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Grand Eska Hotel Batam for anyone visiting Batam—you’ll be well fed, well cared for, and leave with a big smile.

AAnonyymi käyttäjäIHG. Holiday Inn. It seems like this hotel at Batam has been neglected. Many of the amenities are lacking in maintenance. The pool, gym, kids club.....the list goes on. Staff are excellent. But why has the hotel not kept up with maintaining it well when it's such a popular hotel. Covid took havoc world wide. But many hotels have bounced back and are welcoming guests with renewed hope. Hotels needs to constantly upgrade so that guests want to keep coming back.
Slippery walkways, itchy body after sleeping on the bed and toilets that lack are some of the features at Holiday Inn Batam.
Time to see how you can improve your rating. Its a great hotel if you improve on the upkeep.
Never too late to start. Looking forward to coming back in 2026 if there are improvements.
