The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from, making it a great way to start the day. The room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The location was perfect – it took less than 10 minutes to walk to Heroes’ Square, which made exploring the city so easy. What really stood out, however, was the staff – everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a pleasant and comfortable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest!"

"Upon arrival at night, the hotel appeared abandoned due to the lack of lighting. We later learned there was a power outage; however, the receptionist was accommodating and helpful. She offered us drinks and snacks while we waited to check in. After some time, since the power had not yet returned, she kindly arranged a ground-floor room for us. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with basic amenities. Overall, it’s one of the better hotel options near Keleti Railway Station—just one bus stop away with a short walk."

"Carlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream! My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay."

"I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much."

I saw the hotel when I got off the bus. It was about a 4-minute walk to the hotel. It only takes 20 minutes to get to the city center by tram 1 or subway M3. The transportation is very convenient. Take tram 1 for 2 stops to Mester utca / Könyves Kálmán körút station ID: F01509, where there is a shopping mall with 2 large supermarkets and a food court. The hotel's continental breakfast buffet has a wide variety of delicious and good quality, and is a 4-star breakfast level; the hotel room is about 88% new, with 2 single beds. Although the room is not big, it can accommodate 2 24-inch suitcases; there are small tables, seats, TVs, hangers and small safes, but there are no electric kettles and small refrigerators, which is inconvenient. In addition, there are enough power sockets, the bed sheets are white, clean and comfortable, the central air conditioner is cold and quiet, and the WIFI speed is fast. The toilet and bathroom are separated into dry and wet areas, with a bathtub , the tap water is clear, the toilet is clean and drains quickly, and the hot water in the shower is OK. This hotel is cost-effective and I will consider it again when I come to Budapest."

"A great stay. The transportation is very convenient. Supermarkets and subway stations are very close. The room rate is good value for money, the room is spacious and clean. The double bed is big, but the bedding is small. I used two 90cm wide beddings. The front desk staff is very friendly. The breakfast staff is attentive. They did not chase me away when they were done cleaning, and let me continue to finish breakfast. They did not think that I was hindering their work."
