Friendly environment, owner took good care of all guests, remembered each one well. Location is within walking distance of eating places. Whole hostel is maintained well by staff, bed is extremely clean. Good place to chill as well after a long walk

The BEST hostel I’ve been in my 7 countries Asian trip. The location, the services, the cleaniliness, the attention, all were great. The hotel is on a renovated old building with exquisite details and curated decoration elements. Everything is clean. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are big enough to have your small backpack in it. There’s a curtain for privacy and it wasn’t crowded. The other guest were very mindful of others. This hotel is relatively new, they opened in Nov 2025 so, it’s still getting known in the travel world. You can use the kitchen that has all the implements to cook, store items in the fridge and prepare a breakfast with ingredients that the hotel provides… free, great breakfast! If you need a towel they give you one at no charge… for now. The location is great. You can walk to the old town of the city and Concubine ln. It’s a really nice walk. That part of the city saw a past splendor and the buildings show it. There are several restaurants around, even some fast food. Two things I would review if I was the owner… I waited for an hr before getting my room while other people got settled immediately. My dorm only had 2 ppl in it, the room was ready when I got there. If you have a bed available, just give away even when there’s no the time. It means a lot to the guest that in general has been traveling long hrs, especially if it’s a small place with not many people. The other thing is to teach us (ignorant westerners), how to use the electric shower heater. I couldn’t make it work because I couldn’t find the on/off button. A small sign could have solved my and others’ frustrations. The owners are doing an excellent job at the hotel. I’m planning to come back so I’ll be a guest again at the Brownstone.

Aina meidän mennä vaihtoehto. Halvat yksinkertaisia ja hyviä tarpeeksi tiloja lyhyen oleskeluun. Layout vaihtoehto 2 iso vuodessa liukuovi toimii hyvin vanhemmilleni ja annan tarpeeksi yksityisyyttä huoneessa. Hotelli on vain 10-15 mins ajo kaupunkiin ja erittäin mukava kuiva curry nuodel 😀

I love the interior and the colour .So clean and nice. Lovely.close to town area. The gym dont have air condition but using fans .Pool was good. .Easy to access

We travelled in a group of 3 female friends. I have to say I booked this place due to its industrial themed rooms. It's definitely nostalgic and rustic but the cleanliness is still very much up to standard. We even had a balcony and managed to catch a glimpse of fireworks in a distance. In the morning, we caught the sunrise as well. It's beautiful. The location is best! 👍🏼 it's just next to the famous Thean Chun Coffeeshop, where you get to eat shredded chicken noodles, popiah, asam laksa, Satay, char kway teow. Will definitely recommend this place to others. The only one thing is u will need a little patience when it comes to service. The staff left us standing aimlessly where she went up to the room.

I think overall the hotel fullfill my expectation because i want more concern about the hotel price. Overall the price meets the service. Just the air-con got sounds due to too old already but still acceptable for me. If you are looking for quality hotel for sure is its is not la. Haha

The room is big to mingle around, water pressure is good, the bed also comfy except no elevator. Not bad after all. Recommended to family stay.

Hotellin tilat ja palvelu ovat hyvät. Huonetila on subjectiivinen. 1. Vahinkoa ei korjata ennen avaamista seuraavalle asiakaskäyttöön. Ei vaikuta huoneen käyttö, mutta on huono esitys. 2. Käytävä rauta rata alempi vuode ei piilotettu, jossa ruuvi altistuminen voisi aiheuttaa ylävuode käyttäjä helposti saada leikata, joka tapahtuu tyttäreni. 3. Kun kunnostaminen työt ovat pois, ei ole välitöntä puhdistus yhteisen alueen aiheuttaa koko pölyä erityisesti lattia. Luulen, että puhdistus tuli mop lattia myöhemmin. 4. Ääni naapurilta yökerhon toivottavasti ne voivat olla pois ennen 2 aam.
