Experience was great, service is excellent but location was a bit far from majority of popular locations. The property isn’t maintain properly and for a hotel that’s only few years old it feels like it’s been in service for at least a decade plus. Would not likely stay here again given there’s plenty of better hotels in this price range or lower.

The room had great facilities and a unique design. I really enjoyed the nice view of Seoul City Hall from the room. It’s also very convenient, with Myeongdong less than a 10-minute walk away.

Providing emotional experience, luxury services. How they put in the effort to go the extra mile for their guests. My mini bar was not closed after housekeeping was done as I left before they came to tidy the room. And I raise as a concern. They were very fast to check and assured me that they make sure the minibar would be properly closed. And even offered me a choice of my - wine, cheese platter or fruits of my choice and to send to my room. I didn’t request for it as I was just genuinely raising a concern. One of the team even remembered my last name and greeted me when I was heading out. I had a wonderful stay. It’s not in the popular area but it’s beside Lotte mall. And London Museum Bagel and Blue Bottle is in the mall. But it’s good because it’s not crowded, peaceful.

Luxurious room that overlooked Yongsan and Seoul Tower. Clean and stylish. Spacious bathroom with bathtub. Great restaurants in the hotel, including a delicious breakfast buffet and 2-star La Yeon! Our room included access to the outdoor pool but we preferred to swim in the indoor pool as the weather was already chilly in late October. Location was a little bit away from Myeongdong and other tourist attractions, but it wasn’t far by metro or taxi. The airport limo bus from Incheon airport has a drop off on the main road right outside the hotel.

I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for the consistently warm and welcoming atmosphere I experience each time I visit your hotel. The staff, in particular, has always made a positive impression, offering an exceptional level of service that truly enhances my stay. However, I would like to bring to attention a concern that I encountered during my most recent visit. While the majority of the team exhibits exemplary professionalism and courtesy, I did notice that a few individuals seemed to approach their roles with a sense of authority that bordered on rigidity. It appeared that, at times, their position was interpreted as a form of power or entitlement rather than a service-oriented responsibility. As a guest, I believe that the true role of a hotelier is to serve and assist, regardless of one's title or position. The spirit of hospitality, in my view, lies in creating an environment where guests feel valued and respected, without the presence of any sense of hierarchy or authority overshadowing the experience.

Harvoin kirjoitan hotelliarvosteluja, mutta tästä minun on pakko! Tänään päätin vaihtaa aluetta ja siirryin Hongdaessa sijaitsevaan hotelliin. Ei vertailua, ei vahinkoa – molemmat hotellit Soulin suosituilla alueilla, mutta ero on valtava! Samalla varoitan 9 Bricks Hotel Hongdaesta. Aion kirjoittaa arvostelun huomenna uloskirjautuessani... Tässä kehun L'escapea – sijainti on erinomainen! Metrolinjan 4 Hoehyeonin aseman uloskäynti 7:stä alkaen on kylttejä, jotka ohjaavat hotellille! Itse asiassa opasteita ei edes tarvita, koska hotellin näkee heti maan pinnalle noustessa. Pieni ylämäki, ja kun olin puolivälissä matkalaukun kanssa, hotellin henkilökunta juoksi apuun! Palvelu oli aivan loistavaa 👍 Jos uloskäynnin 7 kautta ei nouse maan pinnalle, toiseen suuntaan pääsee suoraan Shinsegae-tavarataloon. Kymmenien kerrosten tavaratalossa on ruokaa ja verovapaita myymälöitä, niin luksustuotteita kuin edullisempia vaihtoehtojakin – todella hyvä shoppailupaikka! Shinsegaen ulkona on myös Chengdu Taikoo Li -tyyppinen 3D-jättinäyttö, mutta se on paljon hienompi kuin Chengdun, eikä siinä ole niin paljon mainoksia. Hotellista on vain 5 minuutin kävelymatka Myeongdongiin. Tärkeänä turistina Myeongdong on pakollinen nähtävyys! Erityisesti tänään Hongdaessa käytyäni... haluan niin kovasti takaisin Myeongdongiin 😢 Sitten itse hotelli (kuvat ovat hieman sekaisin, enkä pysty säätämään niitä...). Hotellissa on oma tyylinsä, ehkä hieman vanhanaikainen eikä niin sopiva perheille, mutta se on puhdas, siisti ja silti tyylikäs! Jopa hisseissä on koristeita, hieman kuin Lontoon The Ritzissä. Kylpytuotteet ovat samat kuin Six Sensesissä, kaikki BYREDOa. Minibaari on täysin ilmainen, ja Nescafé-kapselikahvi ja suklaa ovat myös erinomaisia. Hotellin ravintola on saanut Michelin-tähden vuodesta toiseen, ei halpa, mutta varmasti hyvä. Tea Lounge oli jo suljettu, kun saavuin, mutta uskon senkin olevan hyvä. 26. kerroksen baari on todella rento, ja siellä voi ottaa upeita kuvia! Huoneeseen toimitettavat postikortit ovat todella kauniita, ja niille tarjotaan jopa ilmainen postitus. Pidän myös muistilehtiöstä ja kylpytuotteiden pakkauksista, käsin piirretty kuvitustyyli on niin kaunis! Hotellin palvelu on myös erinomaista, henkilökunta puhuu yleensä englantia, auttaa matkatavaroiden kanssa, tilaa taksin ja avaa ovia. Kaiken kaikkiaan se on täysin huippuluokan hotellipalvelu! Mutta maksamani hinta oli vain reilut 800 yuania (n. 100€). Se ylitti odotukset moninkertaisesti. Seuraavan kerran Souliin tullessani varaan 100% varmasti uudelleen!

I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos. The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly. When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice. Will definitely be back. Grand Hyatt ＜3 !

JW is 5 star because of excellent assistance and service from the Conceirge to bellboy! Oliver recommended and assisted us to book a nice dinner venue for my family at Seokparang. He even initiated to assist me in booking a cab. Mason helped us with the luggage. He even took initiative to ask us for our airport transfer car plate number so he can keep a lookout for us. He even initiated to ask us to sit inside the hotel lobby while he kept a lookout for us. As he understood we are rushing to catch the flight, he even helped us to translate to the cab uncle to hurry for us. All of them speak fluent English, are very warm hearted and takes initiative in offering excellent service with genuine smiles. Our hearts are deeply grateful to them. 5 star 🌟 because of them. 4 star for the rooms don’t have Netflix. It would be great if the family can gather over Netflix entertainment. Small issue though as the service more than cover up for everything! :) We were offered a nice river view which was romantic! Very clean hotel. Location is excellent as train station and direct bus airport limousine is just by the hotel. Great connectivity. Will definitely revisit this hotel again.

a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and access nearby attractions, shopping, and food options. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with all the basic amenities needed for a good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, from check-in to check-out, and were responsive whenever assistance was needed. Housekeeping did a good job keeping the room tidy, and the overall environment felt safe and welcoming. Facilities were well-kept, and the hotel offered good value for money compared to similar options in the area. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and I would consider staying here again on my next visit.

Pros : - great location : near market, restaurant and convenient shops , near train and bus station. - very comfortable bed and pillow. The pillow is so comfortable I wish I can buy it to bring home. - very big bath tub(onsen). - amenities provided : shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, hairdryer (Dyson), bath herbal soak, toothbrush - love the freebies provided like makgeolli and Korean traditional sweet. Cons : - late checkin time (4pm), they don't even have a luggage storage area if you reach early. - all rooms are upstairs and there is no lift. You need to carry the luggage yourself, there is no staff to help. Initially we were assigned to a room on 4th floor. We requested to change to a lower room because we (both girls) can't carry our big luggage up 😅 - there is only one water outlet to fill up the bathtub. It takes forever to fill up the tub, so we only manage to soak our legs. There is no curtain to cover the bathtub, so when you fill up with hot water the whole room will be covered with the hot air making everything 'wet'. Love the concept of the big tub but it's just not practical. - they only provide new towels and bath amenities when doing room cleaning. They didn't even make up the bed.
