We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 10 month old during Golden Week. Pros: - Hotel is self-contained and there is no need to leave the hotel. There are large and well-maintained grounds for our daily walks with baby, including museums and traditional pagodas dotted throughout the property. There is a chinese, western (steak, pizza) and japanese (teppanyaki) restaurant within the hotel. There is also a kids play room and swimming pool, along with some other kid friendly activities like rabbit feeding and games on the lawn. - The hotel is right next to the lake and is quite beautiful. It's very relaxing to stroll along the lake. - There is an ancient town about 15 minutes walk from the hotel's main lobby. There is a free hotel shuttle to and from the ancient town too. - Staff are generally friendly and helpful - Large, family-friendly rooms are available. We stayed in a lake view suite, which was just right for us and our baby. - Hotel is affordable by international standards - Hotel is less than 2 hours drive from Shanghai, where we live - We particularly enjoyed the teppenyaki restaurant where you can get a private room and a private chef to cook your meals - Despite it being Golden Week, we didn't feel that the hotel was too crowded. Perhaps because the hotel has large grounds. Cons - The baby cot given to us had an extremely thin and uncomfortable mattress. To compensate, we were given a comforter to pad the mattress. However, this is unsafe for younger babies, who should sleep on a firm surface. - The property and facilities are a bit dated - There were very loud weddings on the lawn facing the lake each day that we were at the hotel. The loud music and emceeing disturbed the peaceful ambience of the place, and also disrupted baby's morning and afternoon naps. For families with children who still need to nap in the day, it may be better to stay in a quieter garden view room instead of a room facing the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the staff on reception is very helpful, we got upgrade to the lake view room, which was a nice surprise for us. The staff gave us tips for our trip and introduced the hotel very throughly and even gave a map (because the hotel is huge and has a lot of things to do and explore). The room is spacious and the view is just amazing, it had a small balcony to overlook the lake. Breakfast is totally worth it, all staff in the restaurant is very friendly and very caring about us, providing best service ever. Really thankful for them! The outdoor pool has stunning view, but be prepared to see a lot of kids and the pool itself is not as big, need to come early to get a lounge chair. Though I heard that they are planning to build another pool in future. The outdoor pool has nice lights in evening, would recommend to check it out in evening. The guy working on the towel rack is really sweet, first time we came over he helped a lot. Also the hotel staff brings some small treats/ snacks while you are enjoying pool - some fruits, ice cream and water. Indoor pool is spacious and clean, beautifully designed. It also has a heated pool with massage options. Lounge bar: tasty food, good and caring service, wonderful singer (real professional !). Especially want to thank the manager of rooms Cherry for the service and support, she is just great 👏🏼 lovely lady with high quality service 👍🏼

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This is by far the cutest hostel I have ever stayed in. Literally few steps to the riverside that intersect with Pingjiang street, which is one of the most worth visiting places in Suzhou. Everything is perfect and I’m so in love with the area. There is a small cafe shop runs by the hostel itself with two very cute cats 🫶 The staffs are so nice and even offer me a free Suzhou magnet when checking out. Definitely staying again if I have a chance to revisit Suzhou in the future.

Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to help me book the SPA and photoshoot appointment. Lori 李丢丢, the manager helped me and patiently guided me through the process. She was kind, warm, was always smiling, and most importantly spoke in English effeciently. 👌 When we went for SPA and hot spring the receptionists and massage lady, 姜社红，郭娜, 李青衫 all very kind. They couldn't speak English so we had to rely on the little Chinese we know, their warmth, patience, and more importantly, the translator. 😁 All the staff at the hotel were generally helpful and warm. It's the kind of atmosphere we are looking for. when travelling. Aside from the good amenities, the people are worth coming back for.

I stayed with my partner and dog for 2nights. Unfortunately it was right after the major typhoon so there was a lot of debris that the hotel had to clean out but the place was gorgeous! Rooms were massive and had enough privacy. We got to enjoy our private pool and just relax. The facility has lots of indoor activities, like pottery, painting, and making sandwiches. We ended up trying the pottery experience and had a really good time. We were hoping to do some hiking or outdoor activity but it was a bit limited which was sad but the hotel rented out bikes and we were able to go cycling outside of the resort and was pretty nice. Would highly recommend trying it out. The hotel food was also surprisingly good. We didn’t have high expectations but everything we tried was good, and we didn’t mind eating at the restaurant at all. For the foreigners out there, they don’t speak much English here. Apparently it’s under the Naked resort name, but run by locals. But they made the effort to communicate over WeChat and some staff did speak broken English so we were able to get by. I would recommend this facility to families with kids. It will keep them occupied for sure, with parents being able to relax. If it’s a couple’s stay, maybe one night would be enough.

The hotel has everything to have a great journey. It's clean, the room are spacious and beautiful. I had always get a warm welcome from the employees at the entrance. I stayed 2 weeks there. The breakfast is great with many choices. The gym has everything you need but some equipments are a bit old or in bad condition. It can be busy the evening. Also there is a mall next, with many restaurants inside. And a massage center in front by crossing the street (foot massage must be tried during your stay) Laundry service is really expensive (I paid around 80 USD for a small size machine)

The hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests. The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries. Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower. The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums. In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs. Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me. But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

Lovely new hotel, I feel so spoiled by them it’s going to be hard to go back to normal hotels. The room is so so spacious, even without considering the courtyard space. The room was designed with relaxation in mind - bath tub with bath salts, all sorts of tea bags and tea leaves, incense, essential oil. We even got fragrance pouches when we arrived. The hot tub in the courtyard is also really nice to soak in, just a bit cold in winter because you have to walk out from the cozy bedroom into the courtyard. On Christmas Eve they even gave us a cute bamboo muffin cupcake with a snowman topper. Our room came with breakfast, which was a good thing because the hotel is very far from everything else. Breakfast quality is passable, but the restaurant manager on duty on our first two days was much more attentive than the one on our last day, which is ironic as there were more customers on the first two days due to a tour group being there. There are two malls that are about 5-10 mins drive away, but I recommend paradise walk over golden eagle as the former has more shops operating. Apart from the location of the hotel being one downside, another downside was the location of our room as we had to pass through a flight of stairs. So we had to get the staff to help with the luggage since there were too many steps to climb to get to the hotel lobby. Nonetheless it was a very nice hotel! Would recommend for short stays to pamper yourself!
