"Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to help me book the SPA and photoshoot appointment. Lori 李丢丢, the manager helped me and patiently guided me through the process. She was kind, warm, was always smiling, and most importantly spoke in English effeciently. 👌
When we went for SPA and hot spring the receptionists and massage lady, 姜社红，郭娜, 李青衫 all very kind. They couldn't speak English so we had to rely on the little Chinese we know, their warmth, patience, and more importantly, the translator. 😁
All the staff at the hotel were generally helpful and warm. It's the kind of atmosphere we are looking for. when travelling. Aside from the good amenities, the people are worth coming back for."

"Very nice room. Location is great, just 50 m away from Heshan station. Everything was perfect. All amenities were provided including a washing machine and a microwave oven too. However, the washroom was not perfectly cleaned. There were long hair everywhere in there. Also, there was no any view from the window.

"Above average in all areas. Only 2 small things, but difficult to complain at all. Amazing service, above average for China. Food was not just above average - top level and not too expensive. All facilities were excellent, though the kyaking in the photos do not exist anymore. A small, but still a reason I booked was it showed kyacking for kids, which my son loves, therefore one (but not the only reason) for booking. Trip.com should update this image. I would suggest also redoing the lobby area, its way too small. Its one of the smallest lobby's in any 5 star hotel, and when its on the weekend and everyone booking in at the same time, its very noisy and crowded. The lobby and reception area should be 2-3 times the size. But these two negatives do not distract from the many positives which were above 5-stars. If these other two could be fixed it would be one of the top hotel stays in China."

"It's a great house in an awesome location. However, it has not been looked after well. It's quite dirty (spinning webs in the room, toilet in the reception area is being used as ayi's cleaning room or where she would look after her personal hygiene - comb and cleaning utensils/towels placed on sink) and even though you can see some staff from time to time, they don't feel keen to interact with you. All the activities that we were sent, were not available (animal feeding - no animals, wine tasting - no wine) or we had to find out how to do them ourselves (drawing - most of the pens were dry. sunset walk - no one could efficiently explain where to go or point out direction on map). Lunch and denu menu is the same and very limited (also fries were sold out after the first night we stayed there), there were no cool drinks available. At breakfast menu there was a station where staff should make fresh fried egg but there was no staff. No one asked if we wanted tea or coffee or was there to help with anything. In the morning, the table was still the same like we left it after dinner. All in all, it was very chaotic and felt more like an airbnb than a hotel experience."

"We came here during Qing Ming Festival, so naturally there were many guests, especially families with children. The facilities here are excellent for children, many activities to keep them occupied. I came as a couple, so I would have preferred a quieter and relaxed atmosphere. Despite that, the hotel itself is beautiful, clean and modern. The rooms are large and with a balcony overlooking the inner garden/lake. We came here to enjoy the Hot Spring bath located next to the hotel. The bath was an outdoor style bath and was beautiful. The buffet dinner and breakfast was excellent, very tasty with a good variety of food. Alcohol was also included in the price, so we thought it was quite a good deal. As for the location, it was quite far from Suzhou station. If coming from Shanghai, I would recommend taking the high speed train to Suzhou Nan station instead. There isn’t too much to do around the hotel but you can walk around Tai lake or rent a bike to explore the area. No shops or restaurants nearby."

TTOBACCOVANILLEI made this trip for my family to have a nice and quiet escape from the city to enjoy the Spring festival and it was a brilliant idea. It is situated in the middle of lake Taihu and not so far away from Suzhou city center either. Very peaceful environment and extremely friendly staffs, highly recommended for those who want to spend a nice and quiet relaxing moments with family.

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

HHello there!The hotel is charming and we had a wonderful experience overall!
The room was very nice—spacious, clean, and decorated with a cozy touch. It was evident that the lady running the place puts her heart into it; She cooked the food herself, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! She was also very accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable and for a truly relaxing time.
However, I was a bit disappointed that the hot spring was not included with the room. Given that it's literally in the name of the hotel and considering the price of the room, I expected it to be part of the package.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere.
The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime.
Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor.
The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish.
Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

AAnonyymi käyttäjäLovely new hotel, I feel so spoiled by them it’s going to be hard to go back to normal hotels. The room is so so spacious, even without considering the courtyard space. The room was designed with relaxation in mind - bath tub with bath salts, all sorts of tea bags and tea leaves, incense, essential oil. We even got fragrance pouches when we arrived. The hot tub in the courtyard is also really nice to soak in, just a bit cold in winter because you have to walk out from the cozy bedroom into the courtyard. On Christmas Eve they even gave us a cute bamboo muffin cupcake with a snowman topper. Our room came with breakfast, which was a good thing because the hotel is very far from everything else. Breakfast quality is passable, but the restaurant manager on duty on our first two days was much more attentive than the one on our last day, which is ironic as there were more customers on the first two days due to a tour group being there. There are two malls that are about 5-10 mins drive away, but I recommend paradise walk over golden eagle as the former has more shops operating. Apart from the location of the hotel being one downside, another downside was the location of our room as we had to pass through a flight of stairs. So we had to get the staff to help with the luggage since there were too many steps to climb to get to the hotel lobby. Nonetheless it was a very nice hotel! Would recommend for short stays to pamper yourself!

The facility of the hotel was nice and very stylish, all in white and modern. The hotel was really lovely. The only thing that is really not good organised, there is no food except breakfast and afternoon tea (in that case fruits). We needed to order from a delivery service (only Chinese food available and it's was not really good). A hotel located at that wonderful place with that high price should have basic foods at the restaurant.

VV1ndal00-K1nggreat little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.
