We choose Marriot as our first anniversary hotel. Thanks for the cake arrangement, the cake is delicious! The hotel’s cleanness is satisfying and most of the services is great. You may ask for earlier check in if you’re in red eye flight. Only the ******* delivery you must go down and collect yourself coz the hotel machine is not enough.

As a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

I went with my 4-year olds and my mom. The executive suite has the ample space for my kids to play around and a decent view of Pudon. We were welcomed with a bowl of fruit and a personal note from Alexander. But, i must say that the superb customer service started prior to coming in. A day before we checked in, I got a call from Elio asking me if there is any request regarding my trip the next day. I just requested for a few stuff for my kids, which they delivered upon checking- in. The two points that we really liked in our stay was the customer service and the tasty food of breakfast in “the cook”. My kids had cereals, noodles with soup, sausages, and yogurt. Personally, i like the salad bar and the freshly baked pastries. All in all, it was a Christmas trip that my kids loved because the lobby gave off a holiday vibe where we took pictures too.

I stayed in many 5 star hotels. Shanghai Peninsula is a different kind. They pay much attention to every detail. It's above being clean, considerate and well managed. It's a true high end hotel beyond star rating. Every person serves there are well trained. You can see that they love their jobs.

Hänen halukkuutensa auttaa näin myöhään, yhdessä hänen rauhallisen ja ammattimaisen asenteensa, todella heijastaa korkeat palvelustandardit, jotka liittyvät Waldorf Astoria. Laajenna sydämeni kiitos Juudea hänen sitoutuminen ei mennyt huomaamatta ja teki stressaava tilanne paljon helpompaa hallita. Haluan kiittää erityisesti Waldorf Astorian juutalaista. Vaikka oli jo 12 aamulla, hän oli yhä kärsivällinen ja aloitteellinen auttamaan minua käsittelemään väärän osoitteen paketteja, palvelua ammattimaisesti ja intiimi. Tämä ahkeruus oli minulle syvästi liikuttunut ja heijastanut täysin hotellin korkeatasoisia palveluja. Muita konsernin jäseniä tehtiin myös apua matkatavaroiden kanssa. On vain valitettavaa, etten voi saada ******* ruokalähetystä hotellin henkilöstön suoraan huoneeseeni. Tämä oli epämukavaa, mutta ymmärrän elintarvikkeiden ja hygienian näkökohtia, joita ne pitävät. I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. The room I received was completely inconsistent with the photos and description shown during my online booking. I specifically booked a red-themed twin room with a central Bund view, and I even informed the hotel in advance that I preferred a high floor. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the 8th floor, with a yellow-themed design and an edge-side view. From this room, two-thirds of the view was blocked by buildings, and only a small portion of the river could be seen — and even that was only visible when standing close to the window. The Oriental Pearl Tower view was almost entirely hidden. When I raised this issue with the staff, they denied any discrepancy and claimed that the only twin rooms available were in the yellow design, which clearly contradicts the photos shown during booking. I paid extra to upgrade to a Bund view, and it is unacceptable that I was initially placed in a room with such a limited and obstructed view. Only after I became very firm with my complaint did the staff agree to change my room to a double room with the proper central Bund view. This entire process wasted over one hour of my time, involved unnecessary waiting, and demonstrated poor service handling, especially for a hotel that claims to be five-star.

Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla ja henkilökunnan palveluasenne on erittäin hyvä, erityisesti Iris, joka otti minuun yhteyttä etukäteen kysyäkseen, tarvitsinko apua. Hän auttoi minua myös nopeasti ratkaisemaan pienen ongelman sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä! Aamiainen on myös runsas, tuotteet ovat hyviä ja ravintolaympäristö on mukava.
