"We stayed for one night, checked in early at 1.45pm. Room was beautiful, as seen in the pictures provided. Able to see both the mountain and the sea, view was beautiful. However, there’s construction going on currently, and it starts to get pretty noisy as early as 8am. Other than that, it’s good. As we were a family of four staying in this room, we noticed that the room supplies were only for two (we only had two towels, disposable toothbrushes etc given). Had to call for room service for them to provide the additional supplies. Pillow is quite soft as well, don’t forget to ask for more pillows (if needed) before bedtime. "Full Hotel Review: Breathtaking Suite & First-Class Service in Sanya I had the pleasure of staying in a fantastic 270-degree sea view suite on the 12th floor. The view of the ocean and the two pools was truly wonderful and breathtaking. The meals, with both the dinner and breakfast buffet, were automatically included. The international variety of the buffets ensured that there was something for everyone—truly perfect! A special highlight was the extraordinary friendliness of the staff, especially Aina. She took excellent care of foreign guests, spoke perfect English, and even followed up via WhatsApp to check if everything was okay. This level of service was first-class! The room offered added comfort with a coffee machine supplied with Nespresso capsules. A coffee on the balcony with that view was the ideal start to the day. The bathroom was also a standout feature, particularly the large bathtub right in front of the window with a view. The location is ideal, featuring a beautiful waterfront promenade right outside the hotel, perfect for relaxing walks. Important Note for International Guests (Connectivity): The hotel's own Wi-Fi makes accessing essential international pages like Google or Microsoft difficult, as they are often inaccessible. Business travelers are advised to ensure they use a foreign SIM card with roaming on their smartphone for reliable connectivity. Conclusion: Aside from the difficult access to some international websites, it was a perfect stay. If my travels ever bring me back to Sanya, I would book this hotel again without hesitation. "Our stay at JW Marriott turned out to be a truly unforgettable and deeply touching experience. During our stay, it happened to be our baby’s second birthday. Sharry prepared a birthday surprise for us that went far beyond anything we expected. It was not just a simple room decoration, but a genuine celebration of a child’s growth, done with real care and heart. The room was beautifully decorated, but what moved me the most was this: almost all hotel staff personally wrote handwritten birthday wishes for our baby, folded each note into a heart, and placed them together in a glass bottle. Seeing that bottle filled with so many handwritten messages from different people was incredibly touching. It wasn’t just five-star service — it was warmth, sincerity, and human connection. What made this experience even more special was that Sharry learned we had stayed at JW Marriott Khao Lak, Thailand, in October last year, and that our wonderful experience there was the reason we chose the JW Marriott brand again. After hearing this, she went the extra mile and coordinated with the team in Thailand to record a birthday greeting video for our daughter. Receiving birthday wishes months later from familiar faces we had met before, from another country, was incredibly emotional and meaningful for us. It truly showed a level of care and connection that is very rare. The hotel also prepared a birthday cake for our baby, and the next day surprised us again with a lovely animal-themed cake. The care didn’t stop at one moment; it continued throughout our stay. In addition, our room was upgraded, and during the entire stay, Sharry checked in with us daily about our experience, always attentive but never intrusive. This kind of thoughtful, genuine service made us feel truly valued and well taken care of. Objective feedback: • The sound insulation of the room door is not very strong, and corridor noise can be noticeable • Breakfast is average, without many highlights • It would be great if the breakfast area could include clear allergen labeling, which would be very helpful for guests with food allergies • The hotel feels more business-oriented and mature in style, and the overall resort atmosphere is not particularly strong Overall, this is a hotel with solid facilities and exceptionally warm, thoughtful service. Taifuunivaroituksen päivänä 24. päivä kaikki työ- ja koulutyöt Sanyassa olivat keskeytettyinä ja kaikki turistikohteet suljettuina. Ajoimme ympäriinsä ja huomasimme, että joidenkin kaupungin suurten ostoskeskusten lasiovet oli suljettu pitkillä puisilla kaltereilla suojaamaan lähestyvältä taifuunilta. Palattuamme hotelliin huomasimme, ettei edes tämä merenrantahotelli ollut ryhtynyt mihinkään toimiin. Hieman kello 18 jälkeen taifuuni lähestyi. Koska Executive Lounge on lähimpänä merta, tuuli ja sade olivat jo voimakkaita. Hotelli tarjosi meille noutolaatikoita ja -kasseja vietäväksi huoneisiimme, ja sitten alkoi kaoottinen pakkaaminen. Tuuli ja sade olivat jo voimakkaita matkalla takaisin huoneeseemme. Saavuimme huoneeseemme hieman kello 19 jälkeen ja kävimme suihkussa hieman kello 20 jälkeen. Puolivälissä matkaa sähköt katkesivat taifuunin vuoksi. Mieheni joutui sytyttämään lampun puhelimellaan, ja tyttäreni ja minä kävimme kiireesti suihkussa. Myöhemmin huomasimme, että hotellissa oli itse asiassa varageneraattori sähkökatkon jälkeen. Kun se käynnistyi, se käynnisti vain kattotuulettimet ja valaistuksen, mutta ei ilmastointia. Emme tuolloin tienneet, että huoneemme sähköt eivät kytkeytyneet automaattisesti takaisin päälle sähkökatkon jälkeen. Näin jollain verkkosivustolla, että muut hotellit olivat vähitellen palaamassa normaaliin, mutta meillä oli silti sama aamiainen seuraavana päivänä... Tämä on itse asiassa kolmas kesälomamme Sanyassa, ja olemme tutustuneet useimpiin nähtävyyksiin. Joten tällä kertaa ostimme executive-sviitin ajatellen, että voisimme viedä lapset hotellille, nauttia mereneläviä ja syödä ja juoda executive-klubilla, kun heillä on nälkä. Lopulta nautimme siitä vain kaksi ja puoli päivää seitsemän päivän matkasta. Illallinen taifuunin jälkeen oli kuin kuvassa yhdeksän: riisikulho ja juomat mukaan. Kuulin kuitenkin, että Välimeren ravintola oli avoinna illalliselle seuraavana päivänä ja buffet-illallinen oli saatavilla jo kolmantena päivänä. Lisäksi Executive Clubin osoite muuttui, ja sain tietää siitä vasta tiedusteltuani asiasta etukäteen. Hotelli ei edes ilmoittanut asiasta etukäteen! Ennen taifuunia minulla oli positiivinen vaikutelma hotellista ja siivoojasta. Siivooja antoi tyttärelleni pienen matkamuiston ja pienen kakun. Jälkikäteen ajateltuna hotellin valmistautumattomuus näyttää johtaneen siihen, etteivät he kyenneet täysin majoittamaan meitä. Hotellin näkökulmasta olisimme saattaneet olla vain yksi monista vieraista. Mutta meille nämä olivat vain muutamia vuosittaisista matkoistamme. Taifuunit ovat ylivoimainen este, mutta taifuunit ovat yleisiä Sanyassa kesäloman aikana. On kiistatonta, että huomiota ja riittävää suunnittelua oli liian vähän, ja hätätilanteisiin reagointivalmiudet olivat käytännössä olemattomat. Jopa viimeisenä päivänäni, kun lähdin hotellista, kuntosalin vieressä oleva uima-allas haisi edelleen pahalle. Pitkän harkinnan jälkeen en yksinkertaisesti pysty kirjoittamaan positiivista arvostelua vastoin tahtoani. Lomani oli todella pilattu, ja jos mitään ei tehdä nyt, mikään korvaus myöhemmin ei korvaa sitä. Lopuksi, hotelli on uskomattoman vanhanaikainen, eikä siinä näy merkkejä 21 vuotta kestäneestä remontista. Tuntuu kuin sitä ei olisi remontoitu 20 vuoteen. Lisäksi king size -sänkyni patja oli rikki. Kylpyhuoneen lähellä olevan kolmannen kerroksen jouset olivat menettäneet tukensa. Uppouduin siihen makuulle mennessäni. Makasin joko uponneessa kolmanneksessa tai keskimmäisessä kolmanneksessa. En voinut maata keskellä huomattavan vajoaman vuoksi. Mutta koska meillä oli jo kertakäyttöpatja, olin liian laiska siirtämään huonetta, joten en maininnut siitä. Ne, joita tämä häiritsee, varokaa. Toivon, että hotelli käyttää tilaisuutta hyväkseen remontoidakseen hotellin. "Pros- great location, the hotel is across the street from the beach. Huge lobby with a seating area. Nice staff. Decent breakfast, a few restaurants nearby. Daily housekeeping. Has an open gym , although it was quite dirty and the AC was unplugged. Cons- could fix certain details that will improve the overall quality look of the hotel. Why would you put metal inside the pool water?????? A hotel that can host probably 500 people, they only had 6 lounge chairs for the pool. Why not have beach lounge chairs on the beach for guests like Pullman Hotel and other hotels do. If there are holes in sheets, curtains, towels, anything, please please throw it out, don't be cheap and keep it, it looks horrible. In the bathroom shower stall, they give installed the smallest , tiniest shelf , where u can barely keep ur stuff in, remove that and install a nice long shelf that goes along the shower wall. Also the shower door swings inwards the shower stall, hitting the shower head and limiting it opening range...why? The door should swing out, so u can pull , not push in."

"Hotel is conveniently located near the beach. There are also many good restaurants in the area. The breakfast had good variety and was mostly delicious. The resort is family friendly with many facilities for kids to enjoy - warm swimming pool, water playground, indoor playground and daily activities. The room has a good view and is generally clean, but need quite a lot of refurbishing - some furniture were chipped, toilet seat has turned yellowed and some tiles were worn out. It did not affect our stay as the room was still well equipped and clean."
