A Serene Mountain Retreat: A Perfect Escape from the Hustle This mountain hotel is an absolute gem for anyone craving peace and connection with nature—easily one of my favorite getaways in recent memory. From the moment I arrived, the architectural charm stood out: sleek, modern white buildings nestled against a lush forest backdrop, with rustic stone retaining walls adding a warm, earthy contrast. The interiors are just as thoughtfully designed—cozy lounge areas feature a crackling wood-burning stove that invites you to kick back and unwind (I spent hours with my feet up by the fire, sipping tea, and forgetting the outside world). The outdoor spaces are equally delightful: sun-dappled patios with soft flooring, where my spaniel wandered by (a sweet, unexpected touch!), and gravel paths that lead to sweeping views of the wooded hills. Every corner feels intentional, balancing minimalist design with the raw beauty of the surrounding nature. What truly makes this place special is the tranquility. It’s quiet enough to hear the rustle of leaves and birdsong, yet the amenities are comfortable and well-appointed—no roughing it here. The staff (though I didn’t interact much, thanks to the seclusion) seemed attentive, and the little touches (like the firewood stacked neatly by the stove) made the stay feel personal and cared for. If I had to nitpick, it’s that the remote location means you’ll need a car to explore nearby spots—but that’s part of the appeal for a true escape. Rating: 5/5 This hotel isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a chance to slow down, breathe, and soak in nature’s beauty. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Boutique hotel. But enough space for luggage. Friendly staff. Consider how much i paid for the room, breakfast is very good. Wuyi square is only about 7-9 minutes. Very crowded. This hotel is highly recommended. The hotel is right on the corner of Taiping street entrance, you would see the entrance gate and the hotel is on your right side slightly behind you.

This homestay is quite difficult to find, especially for international travelers who are unfamiliar with the area. It was unclear where to check in at first, and we had to ask the building’s information desk to help contact the owner before we could access the room. Fortunately, the owner was kind and helpful. The room itself is spacious with plenty of space. There was a slight cigarette smell, which is common in some places in China, but the highlight is the beautiful river view. Although some buildings partially block the view, it is still very impressive. This was our last night in China before returning home, and staying here became a very good memory. Downstairs, there is a nearby park where you can take a walk and watch elderly locals doing their daily activities, which feels very authentic and enjoyable. The location is convenient—close to a train station and easy to get to Orange Isle. Around the building, there are rice shops and cafés, so finding food is not a problem at all. A good choice for travelers who value views and atmosphere, and don’t mind a bit of inconvenience during check-in.

My trip got cut short due to family emergency but my parent stayed at Xiangyu Xiangyue Apartment not too long ago and recommended this place so I am writing this on their behalf as they did not had the chance to do it. Location: The location is excellent — right beside IFS and within walking distance to Taiping Street, Wuyi Square Station, shopping malls, food streets, cafés, and convenience stores. Super convenient for both day and night activities. Apartment Condition: The room was clean, modern, and spacious compared to standard hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the air-conditioning worked well. The apartment comes with basic amenities like a small fridge and kettle, which is great for longer stays. Building & Check-in: Since it’s an apartment-style stay, the entrance is inside a commercial building. Check-in was smooth and the host provided clear instructions, but first-time visitors may need to look around a bit to find the correct lift lobby. Service: The host was responsive and polite. Communication was easy, and they were helpful when I needed directions and recommendations. Noise Level: Because it’s in the busiest part of Changsha, some street noise can be heard at night — typical for such a central location. If you’re sensitive, you may want to request a higher floor. Overall: A great choice if you want convenience, modern comfort, and a prime location right next to IFS. It’s ideal for travellers who enjoy shopping, nightlife, and easy access to transportation.

The front desk was very accommodating despite not speaking any english. Smooth check in and check out service. They were also responsive when you message them on wechat which is always a huge plus for me. Room wise, it was clean and decent. It has all the amenities you need. Hotel offers free pick up/drop off to the south railway station which was nice. You just got to let them know in advance and they will arrange it for you. Laundry was on the 7th floor and 20th floor and it comes with a washing machine, dryer as well as detergent and softener. I also had breakfast on the last day which was a buffet of western and Chinese food. It was one of the best breakfast buffet I had among all the hotels I stayed in China. Do want to note a couple of things: 1) there's only ac in your room. The lobby, elevators, restaurant, and the hallways have no ac and it can get very warm especially when it's hot outside. 2) this hotel seems to be part of an apartment which means that anyone has access to all of the hotel's floors. Of the two nights I stayed here, someone slipped a female escort ad on each of the hotel room's door.

A gem of a hotel, close to shops, bars, night life. Hotel staff very helpful and speak English very well. The coffee lounge is a great idea, you can sit and relax and use the facilities at will. The housekeeping is definitely 5 star rating. I recommend this hotel without hesitation , a have/will re book this hotel when I return to the area in a couple of weeks

Hotelli sijaitsee mukavasti Furong Square Subway Station, vain 3-minute kävelymatkan päässä. Tämä asema on vain yksi pysäkki ennen Wuyi Station. Jos haluat kävellä IFS Tower, se kestää noin 20 minuuttia. Huoneita ovat moderni ja puhdas, älykäs WC kuin huomattava ominaisuus. Kuitenkin, kuuman veden tarjonta voi olla epäjohdonmukainen. Entrance and lift to the right tower was a little hard to find initially, especially for us who don't understand much Chinese and lift change to a different tower is required. Written instruction would've been useful. Room is ok, very low ceiling, nearly touched our head. Very cramped and not as spacious and nice as in photo. Lots of marks and scratches on the floor. Shower area is not clean, hair from previous stay still there. Our washing machine was broken. It couldn't be fixed in the 3 nights we stayed. The technician came on the second day and the floor was left dirty. We were offered to use the washing machine in a different unit, but with no dryer, it made it difficult. The electricity went out on our first morning and there was no power for about 3-4 hours. Then the evacuation building evacuation notice came on, twice that morning. We evacuated as that's the norm in our country. We're later told it's just a testing. It would've been nice if we were informed or there's some kind of communication on the floor. Very disruptive as we have young children. The evacuation drill happened again the next morning. We knew then to stay. The best thing about this apartment is the location. Close to all the hustle and bustle is Changsha, lots of eateries choices. On the negative side, we could hear thumping music and felt the vibration from nearby clubs until 3-4 in the morning.
