"This area was nice to walk around and a lot quieter than Manila central but still easy to get in. You have to grab in which costs a few pounds. The room had plenty of space but no windows which was fine for us for one night. The bathroom was nice, the shower could do with a screen or at least a curtain as the water does go everywhere in the small space. The lady allowed us to check in early all though this was by mistake but was still a positive for us."

"Upon arrival, the security guard assisted us with our luggage, but no one offered further help until we reached the check-in area or when sending us up to our room. The check-in process was smooth, and we went straight to our room. As we walked through the corridor, there was a strange smell, but we chose to ignore it. The room itself was spacious and had everything we needed. However, cleanliness was an issue. There were stains on the bathroom floor, the non-slip mat was not very clean, and there was some dust around the room. We overlooked these at first. When it was time to sleep, the pillows had an unpleasant odor, which made me uncomfortable. They didn’t smell fresh, more like dust. Since it was late and my kids were exhausted, my husband simply covered the pillow with his clean shirt so we could rest. The next morning, I noticed stains on the bed sheets that were clearly not ours. They looked permanent, so I requested housekeeping. The towels also appeared old, no longer white, and while some of the extra towels we requested were acceptable, others were worn out. Parking was limited, with only a few slots available. Staff informed us that if the lot was full, we would need to pay for parking. When we returned to our room later, I was disappointed to find that the bed sheets still had the same stains. Housekeeping had only changed the pillowcases. Overall, the property itself was nice, but cleanliness needs significant improvement. For example, the brown stains in the bathroom should be addressed, the bathroom mat replaced, and the tissue box cleaned, it was black with visible dust and stains. On a positive note, the air-conditioning filter was clean, which I appreciated, as my previous stay elsewhere had been terrible in that regard. I’m not sure if I would stay here again. The only highlight was the staff, who were very accommodating and kind."

"What an amazing difference an experience compared to several years ago when I used to stay regularly at this hotel. The attention to detail is outstanding compared to it used to be. The check in and out is fast and efficient, greeted with a smile. They even welcomed me back, paying attention to the fact I'd been a previous guest. Want to leave your deposit via a card? No problem at all. No insisting that you go to an atm to draw our cash!! The buffet breakfast was plentiful and hot, with a good variety of both Western and Filipino dishes. The only thing missing was some lovely fried bacon.😎🙏 Staff in the restaurant were always on duty, ensuring that tables were clean quickly and efficiently. The chef and kitchen staff were always checking on the amount of food available for guests and refilling as quickly as possible. Every single member of staff from the pool attendant to the housekeeping to the front desk to the restaurant had a smile, even security were present, but not in your face. The only thing that could be improved, as always, is the issue with the elevators. It's something that is historic for this building and they take forever to service each floor. I know that they are maintaining the other elevators and I assume trying to get them back in fully functioning form. Once that happens, I believe that the experience will be 100 percent perfect. Sometimes you could be waiting for 10 minutes just to get the elevator to reach your floor and when you're trying to get downstairs to jump in your grab car that's waiting. It's no joke. One final little request that could make the experience a little better, is to update and refurbish the equipment in the gym. and put the aircon system back in fully working operation, And double cheque some of the water pressure issues with the showers at times. At times you would get hot water, other times you'd get lukewarm water. Sometimes it would be full force, other times it would be a dribble. These are minor issues though. And overall, my experience compared to previous times was outstanding."

"I chose this hotel for 4 reasons . 1) I needed to contact someone in Makati 2) breakfast 3) parking 4) swimming pool. I arrived late from the airport and the staff were really nice. First time in Makati. There is nowhere to park in the streets so I was so relieved that they have complimentary valet parking that is a godsend. 5 stars for that. Breakfast is very good from 6.00 to 10.30. The pool is a refresher pool , not a lap pool, but it was most welcome. Towels are provided. Room? A bit smelly but not obtrusive. I slept very well so beds are comfortable. 7-11 and McDo within a minute or so, so that was really welcome. For those looking for nightlife, there is adult entertainment in the adjacent street. Overall? A very good place to stay. Thumbs up from me."

"I had a very satisfying stay at New World Makati Hotel, and I've already made a repeat booking for my next visit.. which says it all!! I arrived earlier than official check-in time, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. He kindly assisted me in using the fitness center first, allowing me to shower and freshen up after my journey. This thoughtful gesture made a big difference and immediately set a positive tone for my stay. Throughout my visit, the team was consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure comfort and convenience. Overall, it was a seamless and pleasant experience, and I truly appreciate the warm hospitality. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again this week 😊"

"The room was very clean. It had everything you needed. The staff were very friendly and professional. The location is also good. There are 3 restaurants in the building with reasonable prices. We tried Cache and it was good. We wanted to try Kaokee but our trip was short so we didnt get to do it anymore. Will definitely recommend this and will book again if ever we come back."

"Viimeaikainen oleskelu kiinteistössä oli erittäin pettymys ja ongelmallinen. Viikon aikana sähköä leikattiin klo 8:00-6:00, eikä asiaa koskevaa viestintää ollut johtaja tai omistaja. Onneksi Trip.com auttoi minua käsittelemään ongelmaa, mutta koordinointi omaisuudesta itse oli hyvin köyhä. Jokainen huone näyttää olevan eri tilassa. Vaikka huone, jonka olin tällä kertaa oli hieman parempi kuin se, jonka olin aiemmin, yleinen kokemus ei vielä vastaa hintaa, jonka maksoin. Olin 7 yötä, koska olin henkilökohtaisesti desinfioinut koko huoneen ja mieluummin jäädä sinne. Mutta olin edelleen pakko vaihtaa huoneita, mikä aiheutti paljon haittaa. "What makes Makati Palace Hotel a superb place to stay in the centre of Manila is the staff. At the end of the day, hotels hotels beds, a bit of furniture in the room and the usual infrastructure but the people here are so attentive, professional, and will do anything to ensure your stay is premium. And let me assure you it is a premium stay here because they make you feel like you’re the only guest in the world. Well done to House Keeping, the bell men, Rock solid Security who make you feel very safe, & well done to the front office staff: Ashleigh, Ann, Irish, Stephanie and and the the front office supervisors and accounts staff too."

"We had a connecting booking from February 14–16 and February 16–17. Check-in time was 2:00 PM, and although we arrived late around 5:00 PM, we expected that the room would already be ready by then. Upon check-in, the receptionist handed us the keycard and mentioned that we were given an “upgraded room.” This was not something we requested, so we assumed it was a courtesy upgrade. I then asked about our second booking and whether we would need to transfer rooms. The reason I booked the same room type for both stays was to avoid the hassle of transferring, especially on our last day. However, we were informed that if we wanted to remain in the same upgraded room for the second booking, there would be an additional charge — even though we did not request the upgrade in the first place. We decided to stay in the “complimentary upgraded room” for the first night. Unfortunately, upon entering, the room was noticeably dusty, particularly the balcony, which looked like it had not been used or cleaned thoroughly for a long time. We had to call twice to follow up on missing amenities such as bathrobes, bath towels, and hand towels. When the hand towels arrived, they were dirty. The water bidet was not working, and although we called to report it, no one came to assist. We eventually had to manually turn on the main faucet under the toilet bowl ourselves. The kitchen sink was also not properly connected to the water pipe — when we turned on the faucet, water leaked onto the floor. As a result, we were unable to use it during our stay. For our second booking (February 16–17), we ended up paying for the upgraded room to avoid the inconvenience of transferring rooms. As for breakfast, it was not worth the additional cost. We had to follow up twice just to get a sunny-side-up egg, and in the end, we finished our meal without receiving it. This review is not meant to criticize unnecessarily, but rather to highlight areas that clearly need improvement. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary actions to improve service quality and guest experience."
