Osaka Hostellit

Olin hiljattain hotellissa Cargo Shinsaibashi matkalla Osakaan, ja olin miellyttävästi yllättynyt mukavuudesta ja laadusta, joka on pakattu tähän kompaktiin, kapselityyliin majoitus. Yksi suurimmista kohdista minun oleskelu oli wc ja kylpyhuone alue poikkeuksellisen puhdas, moderni ja viihtyisä. Vaikka on jaettu tila, kaikki oli spotless ja hyvin ylläpidetty aina. Suunnittelu oli tyylikkäämpi, ja tila tuntui enemmän kuin boutique-hotelli kuin budjettikapselin. Tuuletin on varustettu Japanin allekirjoituksen huipputekniikka bidet toimintoja, ja yleinen puhtaus todella ylitti minun odotuksia. Jopa hienovarainen valaistus ja lämmin puu sävy lisättiin rentouttava tunne joka kerta, kun käytin kylpyhuonetta. Loma-alue oli mukava paikka rentoutua tai tehdä hieman suunnittelua päivä. Lisäksi sijainti on täydellinen vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä Shinsaibashi ostoskadalta ja nopea juna kulkee useimmille Osakan hotspots. Jos etsit hyvin suunniteltua, puhtaaa ja viihtyisä paikkaa jäädä Osaka, suosittelen erittäin Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi. Erityisesti jos arvostat hygieniaa ja mukavuutta yhteisissä tiloissa, tämä hotelli toimii ylä- ja kaukana.

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a really good overall experience. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Dotonbori. You just need to cross the road to reach Shinsaibashi, which made shopping and exploring extremely easy. There are also multiple exits of Namba Station nearby, so transportation is very convenient. The area is lively and full of food options, convenience stores, and shops, so everything you need is within walking distance. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself feels comfortable and a good place to rest after a long day out. I really enjoyed my stay at Acro and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka.

As someone who has stayed in many capsule hotels, this one stands out as the best for size, value, and amenities. • Location: Perfect. Right next to Exit 13 of Namba Station. It's an easy 5-minute walk to the main station and Takashimaya. • The Room: Surprisingly spacious. Unlike other capsules, there is plenty of room here to actually secure your luggage comfortably. • Amenities: The facilities are great. Having the option of an individual single bathroom in addition to the public bath is a major plus. Strongly recommended for solo travelers looking for a high-quality stay. I will absolutely be returning

This was not my first hostel experience, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. Let’s start with the positive aspects first: The location was absolutely perfect — I don’t think you could find a better place to stay in Namba. Everything was close by, and getting around was very easy. Also, the staff were extremely, extremely friendly, and we received fresh towels every day, which I really appreciated. Now, onto the things that bothered me: First, the cleanliness: It wasn’t really clean. In the showers, there was always a lot of hair and dirt in the gaps where you enter and exit, which was quite unpleasant. During my stay, someone vomited in the public sink area, and it was not cleaned up overnight — it was still there even at 10 a.m. the next morning. Because of that, the house smelled strongly of vomit for a while. That night, and in general, there was often an unpleasant smell in the kitchen area as well. Without wanting to discriminate, I noticed that many older people were staying at the hostel (since apparently there was no age restriction). Some of them would loudly clear their throats and spit phlegm into the sinks, even early in the morning, which was quite disturbing and unhygienic. Another issue was the temperature: The room was extremely hot at night, and since so many people were sleeping in one room, the air became very stuffy. Even inside your capsule, it was uncomfortably warm. One last point: On the day of arrival, the address on Trip.com was wrong, which made it very hard to find the hostel. It took me almost an hour and a half to find it, especially because it was very hidden with no clear signage outside. I really hope that in the future, there will also be an age limit for guests.

Amazing capsule hotel experience in Namba worth your every yen! This place made me rethink the idea of capsule hotels! If you’re a solo traveler, this is an excellent choice - very affordable and right at the center of the action. Rooms were a bit toasty, I would prefer them cooler. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to crank up the AC as it is centralized. As expected, it is a double decker and very compact, but it has enough space for a tall guy, I’m a short king so everything was great. Each capsule has a TV and enough sockets to charge your devices. Beds were alright. You’ll still have decent privacy despite the capsule set up. This is a mostly self-service hotel. You take some of the amenities (toothbrushes, combs, etc) and they also provide you indoor clothes you can wear while inside the hotel and in the sauna, onsen and bathrooms. Towels are provided everyday or you can ask them at the counter. I like that they keep it very clean. They clean the public areas everyday. The only downside is probably the space at the lockers, so you would need to manage your clothes, toiletries, etc very well especially when the luggages fill up the space. The location was the best part of staying at this hotel. Right next to it was a 7-Eleven so you know you’re covered with everything you need. It’s a few minutes walk to the Namba MRT station. It’s very accessible and it’s at the heart of Osaka. A pretty solid 4/5 for me. I will definitely stay again when I solo travel to Osaka!

Locals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual. There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths: two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C. You dip in and instantly feel alive. One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying. There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient. Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day. The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience. They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt. You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything. Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy. Downsides? A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM. If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day. Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay. Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.

Stayed at Jakotel Namba and overall it’s a good budget option in a very convenient area. The biggest plus is the location — close to Kuromon Market, Dotonbori, and multiple train lines, so getting around Osaka is easy. The pods are more spacious than a typical capsule, clean, and comfortable enough for a short stay. Common areas, toilets, and showers were generally well maintained. I also appreciated the simple extras like free tea/coffee and pajamas. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The hotel is fully self check-in, which is fine if you’re used to it, but may feel a bit confusing at first and there’s limited staff support. During busy hours, showers and bathrooms can get crowded, and some lockers/locks feel a bit finicky. Overall, this is a good value-for-money stay if you’re a solo traveler or don’t need full hotel service. Not luxury, but clean, practical, and hard to beat for the location

You can’t beat this kind of place. Cheap and cheerful. One cheerful guy at front desk for sure is Ryo Sakamoto. Every time I went to the front desk, he would smile more. It seems like all guests make him smile.

Was a good hostel with comfy beds and plenty of room. Common area is spacious with cooking appliances which is good. Staff are so so lovely! I read many reviews about the train running across it but do not take these lightly!! I’m pretty good at sleeping through snoring, parties etc but the train is so insanely loud and the entire hostel shakes. I would sleep solidly from 12-5 then wake up every couple of minutes as the trains started again.

I had a really great time here at Casa G.S. Everything was way beyond my expectations. In terms of location, it took me only 5 mins on foot to reach Osakako train station, Chuo Line. With your luggage, you may chose to walk up stairs or take an elevator to and down the train station. You can also visit the nearby shopping mall (Tempozan Market Place) which is located near a beautiful bay, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyuka, and a big ferris wheel. A local bus stop is around 3 minutes away. Tax-free shops, Japanese restaurants, convenience stores (Lawson, 7-11, Family Mart) can easily be reached in the area. For room condition, fortunately I believe the place has been renovated for less than one year, so everything is very nice and clean. I stayed with my parents for 4 nights. The beds were hygienic and comfortable which was a plus to when you were exhausted after long walking days. It has all the necessities you can ever think of such as refrigerator, power socket, adapter, air-con, wet wipes and amenities. The check-in/out, door-lock, and entry systems require no staff or any unlocking devices/tools to pass which were very convenient and secure. An elevator is in place. This is crucial! The lobby has a luggage storage area (free of charge) and a pantry where you can borrow or use necessary kitchenware. Its bathroom may not be that spacious, but very clean and good enough for a short stay.
