"I have stayed here a few times , mostly on stop overs ,nor if having an early flight, getting to the airport with shuttle is easy Sometimes it's a little hard to get hold of them for the shuttle so call as soon as you can, but returning to airport now always pre booked and simple The rooms are spacious, and clean, as are towels tv works great , there is a small kettle.and fridge, coffees and teas with small UHT milks The bathroom is spacious and shower great. No complaints, I've never eaten the breakfast, not tried the happy hour drinks yet but the happy hour sounds good. There is a room service menu available. The laundry and gym are very basic but it's an airport hotel The pool seems fine."

"Housekeepers are wonderful but can’t say much to the lazy receptionist ladies. The old Aussie ladies at the reception are lazy and arrogant. Very bad attitude. The hotel is a real labyrinth, good luck on finding your room because no one will tell you how. They have quit often power outages. One day a good was entering every single room to take the lights card in the rooms. He said he’s working here but can you just nock the doors and wait for somebody to open the door instead of entering all rooms."

"Absolutely brilliant location! Close to most places or a short walk away from the rest.  Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful on checking in.  Room was great - comfy bed, good view and no issues with noise like other reviews have stated.  Air conditioning didn’t work at first as the filter is in desperate need of a clean but otherwise no issues. For the location and the price, I would definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel had all basic necessities. However, initial service wasn’t the best. It subsequently got better but could have been more consistent. It is right opposite the queen vic market so it was a great location!"

"Had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne! The location is perfect right across from Flinders Street Station and within walking distance to great cafes and shops. "We recently stayed at the Rendezvous, which was a wonderful experience, the staff we encountered were very nice, and the room was pleasant! We felt extremely grateful for the offer to leave our bags at the hotel during the day post-check-out. This was a lifesaver and immensely appreciated.  Our only note was the lack of a few amenities, as we stayed as a couple (ie. toothbrushes, number of glasses in the room, etc.) however, none of these caused us any issue.  Thank you again; and we look forward to staying again! (Perhaps during a quieter, cheaper period)"

The shower cubicle is in bad design, bathing water comes out & messing the bathroom floor. Bathroom amenities are ok except no toothbrush & toothpaste. Room size is fine for 2 luggage. The 4-night stay is ok!"

"Great Southern Hotel Melbourne provided solid value for my short solo stay in the city during a busy trip. Right opposite Southern Cross Station, it's incredibly convenient for SkyBus from the airport, trams to Phillip Island penguins, and exploring Crown Casino or the CBD—perfect for backpackers on a student budget. Rooms were clean and comfortable with comfy beds, good bathrooms, and free WiFi; staff were super friendly, offering quick check-in and local tips. Breakfast (extra charge) was decent and reasonably priced. Minor issues like occasional AC glitches or no elevator in some areas, but overall great location and service outweigh them. Would stay again—8.5/10!"

First time we stay at Park Hyatt Melbourne and the experience can't be better. The hotel is a little far away from the middle of the city but it has its own advantages such as better gardens, more quiet and also pretty spacious courtyard. The hotel and rooms gave me a touch of the 1900s decoration style, which is pretty impressive. The room was spacious and well equipped, and I was especially loving the Le Labo brand used in the bathroom. The fine dining experience was truly amazing, with pretty good acoustic music. Overral, the stay was pleasant, and I would definitely visit again.

We initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience. One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils. While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over. His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel. I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

On 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The facilities, especially the pool and restaurant, were excellent. Location was convenient, close to shops and attractions. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

This hotel is really close to Southern Cross Station and there's really friendly reception. The room is really clean with all the necessities. There's laundry, gym, Cafe and a small library on level 1 (I didn't use them as I am away for the whole day) I choose this place as I am aware I will be travelling with two suitcases by myself so this location is perfect for me. I don't have to go through all the trouble of dragging my luggages on to the tram or using Uber since it's only few minutes walk from the station.

Very easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

It was very clean and well organised. The pool and sauna were wonderful and the gym was pretty good for a hotel. I recommend this hotel for a night stay, the price was very reasonable as well!!!

Very convenient location as it just 10mins walk to Melbourne central. The rmit university and swanston tram station right in front of the hotel building. Don’t have enough time to enjoy pool and sauna as it opens from 7am-9pm only. The only dissatisfied is I don’t know that the room service is provided. On the 4th night of our stay while we entered the room after one day trip, we realized that the cleaner has actually entered and cleaned our room without asking our permission. Imagine what if our goods have went missing, can the hotel management beared the cost of our loss? Please do not enter the room without inform customer, customer will ask for room cleaning if they really want the service.
