"It’s an old hotel however, it’s relatively well maintained and very clean. Room is clean and spacious. Location is superb. It’s located at Nagoya Station and has easy access to other local trains such as the Meitetsu and Kintetsu (these are local metro which has their own station within Nagoya station). And this hotel has direct access at 3F to the bus terminal as well.
View out of the room is great and there’s lots of natural light.
There used to be a department store at the lower level of the hotel (The hotel company actually runs the Meitetsu metro and the department store) however in February 2026, the department store has since closed down as there were plans to re-modernise the entire building"

Limousine bus from airport is located right at the doorstep. Large family room with 4 beds (1+ meter). Kids love the lounge at Level 6 where they can have complimentary snacks and nice beverages. Nice Christmas decorations and vibe during the stay. Multiple convenience stores are located just 1-2 minutes walk away from the hotel."

The unlimited soft drinks on the 11th floor is a really nice touch with great variety. Great amenities. I’ve stayed in capsule hotels in Berlin, Prague and Hong Kong before but this one in Nagoya is S tier. Highly recommend.

I booked a room for three people, and the size was comfortable enough for two 28” suitcases. The air-conditioning also allows you to adjust the temperature easily.

VVieraskäyttäjäLocation is perfect right next to Kanayama train station which is connected to train and subway network. The staff were polite and helpful. Just one issue during our stay: We booked a three-bedroom where a sofa bed was not fully flat. I slept for the first night feeling discomfort at low back. We called the hotel service desk and the lady staff was very helpful to add a layer of blanket underneath the mattress to help. While it’s not perfect but it still felt better for remaining few nights of sleep. Suggest the hotel to review this issue especially for guest staying for a few nights.

Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!

Fflam73Fantastic theming in the rooms and hotel generally. Great for our 2 and 4 year old boys. The gifts inside the Treasure Chest are great. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. We also spent two nights at Disney Resort Toy Story hotel and found the Legoland Hotel to be better. The only things I think could be improved would be the sound proofing of rooms - our kids slept at 8pm and you can hear all the kids/people talking and walking in the hallway outside. The water play area also gets booked out literally one minute after it opens (12pm) so we had no chance to use it even though I was on the website at 12.09pm. It feels a bit like false advertising of a hotel feature when it’s not even possible to access.

찌찌니75Oli mukavaa, että he asensivat lisävuoteen 3 hengelle mukavasti. Se oli tilavampi ja mukavampi kuin tyypillinen japanilainen hotellihuone^^ Voit nauttia Nagoya-näkymistä huoneestasi tarvitsematta mennä observatorioon.. Aamiainen oli loistava, ja oli erityisen mukavaa, että voit nauttia aamiaiseksi hitsumabushia (myös viisi makuista gelatoa^^)
Ja kylpysuolat huoneessa tuoksui niin hyvältä!
Jos otat taksin Nagoyan asemalta, se maksaa alle 1000 jeniä.
Se ei ole liian pitkä kävelymatka, mutta etäisyys on hieman epäselvä. Jos sinulla on matkatavarat, suosittelen ottamaan taksin.
Aivan hotellin aulan vieressä on käytävä, joka yhdistää metron hotelliin, joten voit ottaa metron yhden pysäkin ja jäädä pois Nagoyan asemalla.
Suosittelen käymään Nagoyassa ainakin kerran^^

Unfortunately, the first room we were given had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We requested a room change, and while the second room still had a slight odor, it was much better than the first. If you are sensitive to smells, this hotel may not be the best choice. Other than that, everything is ok.
