"How can a hotel that uses plastic in the bathroom—which is extremely unhygienic—be considered a 5-star hotel? This is definitely not a 5-star hotel. When we arrived, the entire room smelled strongly of disinfectant. We ordered food by the pool, and the food was very average. At breakfast, as soon as you enter the fruit section, there is an unpleasant smell. Overall, the cost-benefit of this hotel is far from the price they charge and the rating they claim to have."

"We booked pool Access room it was amazing services really nice good food and amazing club experience we had. Only kids club everything with charge fee if you don’t pay money kids a lone inside just play herself we didn’t see any free activity just this is not good but they really friendly and polite we satisfied and we were happy with the hotel amenities. We can stay also next time when we come back to Krabi.also they helped us for late check out they are really friendly"

"Short getaway trip, love the hospitality level, the scenery and the food in both (Thai & Italian) restaurants. There were fire show performance (Saturday night only) & live band (daily) and anarray of activities offered to residents such as yoga, muay thai, paddle boat and jungle trekking, for free! Definitely recommended!"

"I stayed at Varana Hotel for three nights on my solo birthday trip, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel is new, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. On my first day, I tried the NAAM hydrotherapy, and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long drive—so relaxing and calming. The staff were great at explaining each step, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also had an aromatherapy massage, which was equally relaxing. The therapist was polite, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The gym is brand new and impressively well-equipped, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic—both in taste and the stunning view that came with it. What made my stay truly special, though, were the people. The staff, especially those at SALA, were incredibly warm and attentive. They often stopped by to chat and offered thoughtful recommendations on activities and places to visit. As someone traveling solo for the first time, I felt so welcomed and cared for—alone, but never lonely. To top it all off, they surprised me with a birthday cake, which was such a heartwarming touch. "It started with the parking space in Front of the Hotel, the Reception came to the entrance to welcome us and asked for the ID/ Passport/ Credit Card and we got some refreshment. I am a Permanent Resident and this raise sometimes questions, because it's not so common. They only asked for my Driver License instead of my ID card, I guess because there is the Name in latin letters and Non Residence would have the Passport Number instead of the ID card number. The checkin was very fast done and needed only the email and two signatures. The room have a lot of space, a romantic lightning even in the bathroom. And it's direct at the beach. All staff are super friendly. Even the internship in the Restaurant know was a good service is. And at the checkout we was asked to wait 5 min.. But it take less than 2 minutes. I work for hotels and know what is going on there and this is really impressive. Of course it will be in the high season not always possible to be that fast. The breakfast buffet was more a brunch than just breakfast. From smoked salmon to cheese, even noodles with cheese, from chok to different curries was all there, different kind of bread and pastries, of course fresh fruits, a egg station and a good selection of juice and a coffee. Not every hotel offer in the low season a buffet and even less a huge buffet like this. The location is direct on the sea and you don't see a lot of the area around, what gives 4 Stars. To go to a restaurant outside or see something nice, you need to drive. For us was this not the big issue, because we arrived anyway with the car and in 5 min. you find nice places. Also the street to the Hotel is small and some construction sides, but the people there are also all helpful. The only part where the hotel could improve a little was the fish pond next to the Restaurant, there would be a cleaning needed. What would maybe be done at the next day. We was only one night there and this was not a real issue. But the reason why only 4 of 5 points. All another part of the hotel was in a great condition and very clean. We loved it there and I am sure we will have some another stop overs there"

"It’s quite secluded which is why we picked it. It’s quiet and honestly a paradise. However if you want to do loads of stuff and activities you will need to get a taxi/grab/bolt everywhere, there is very little to do in walking distance and there are no paths to walk for the most part, so it really depends on what you are looking for. They have a small vehicle which goes to ao nang 4 times a day. Once in ao nang (20 mins away) you can get boats to Railay beach, or other islands. It’s busy and touristy in ao nang so the shellsea is a nice escape from this. 20 mins the other way is Krabi town which we preferred, with the mountain monument (highly recommend but only if you are fit!!). A grab/bolt here is about 180baht each way. The hotel breakfast is lovely with coffees made to order. There is another restaurant which overlooks the beach and sea which is really nice too. The pool area overlooks the bay and is quiet and peaceful. Very well maintained and clean. There are lots of activities on at the hotel if you prefer to stay around the hotel such as Pilates, yoga, Muay Thai, kayaking, etc. Staff are friendly and attentive."

"We really liked this hotel, the staff were lovely, pool was nice and had a pool bar, and happy hour at 4. Roof top bar was nice too and I enjoyed the yoga on Mon, Wed, Fri but make sure to put insect repellent on. The hotel is more suited to couples than families. We stayed in a families and friends room and the other rooms seemed better. The top bunk bed was so hard my children couldn’t sleep but they just slept on the bottom mattresses which were good. The walls were thin and unfortunately our neighbours child cried A LOT (not the hotels fault obviously!) and the toilet door touched your knees if you are taller than 170cm, which I am. The room was otherwise well designed and excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good, nice breads and jams and egg station and we really liked the brownies. It’s a little out of Ao Nang which I liked and the almost hourly shuttle made this easy to deal with but may not suit some. Grab only cost about 100B each way. The small jungle restaurant next door was a lovely family run place If ever you don’t want to go into Ao Nang. We really enjoyed the 7 islands tour and preferred the pace of Ao Nang to Phuket. It felt a lot more relaxed. This is a pleasant boutique style hotel with nice staff and mostly younger European couples. It is not luxe but very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay."
