The service is excellent! The serve, food, room, and other items are impressive.

Very clean, new and spacious room. We’ve been stay in for 6 nights for our trip. The staffs here are friendly and always helpful. Also, the location is convenient and close to many well-known sites in Kyoto. Special thanks to Ms. Mazutani and Monju. We’ll definitely come back :)

Service: Fantastic! Staff are extremely helpful and kind, thank you! We're offered welcome drink and dessert. Staff even helped to bring our luggages to the room. Facilities: Great! Very quiet and private. Everything in the room are complimentary :) Room: Everything's great! Onsen in room is nice! To improve: Have more hooks/space to hang clothes will be even better. Bed is too soft to our likings. We didn't use the chair in the shower area too..

Olin erinomainen majoitus Fauchonissa. Saapuessamme lämpimässä vieraanvaraisuudessa olimme tervetulleita. Hotellihenkilökunta oli myös uskomattoman huolellinen ja ystävällinen koko majoitustamme. Huoneeni oli pieni mutta mukava, jossa oli moderni ja ylellinen tilaisuus, jotka olivat tyylikkäästi vaaleanpunainen ja mukava vuode. Huomiota yksityiskohtiin huoneessa oli vaikuttava, huomattava kosketus, mukaan lukien koko joukko komplimentaarisia evästeitä ja kakkua.Aamiainen palveli asetettu valinta ja valinta oli rajallinen ja perustavanlaatuinen mutta asiantuntevasti valmistettu ja esitetty. Hotellin sijainti oli myös täydellinen minulle, koska se sijaitsee aivan Kioton ytimessä, mutta kaukana paksuista paikkoista, joilla on erinomainen pääsy julkiseen liikenteeseen. Bussiasema on hotellin edessä, lähin junaasema on noin 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä ja hotelli on noin 15 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Kawaramachi Street (kauppa-alue). Huoneellamme on vuoristokatsaus.

Big room. Clean. Polite and helpful staff. Breakfast good especially the Japanese one. Would be better if more attention to recycling and environment, and cut down use of one off accessories.

Everything was good except the service in hotel restaurants, which was exceptionally bad: 1) breakfast: waited for food for 40 mins, reminded the server 2 times - still nothing; 2) bar: a too long wait for a cocktail. the server said that as apology said cocktail won’t be in included in the bill… but it was there; 3) afternoon tea: told the staff that I dislike dairy products, but have no allergy. So, for example I can eat most sweets, but not the ones with a strong taste of mascarpone cream. In the end they gave me just a plate of fruit and when I remninded them of the above they… did nothing ) I stayed at this hotel and had afternoon tea there last year too - everything was fine then. All of the above are 3 different restaurants inside the hotel, so I wouldn’t recommend going to any restaurant there. In all other aspects except services related to food the hotel is good.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. I quite like this resort. They are very near a train station and the bamboo forest. There’s free amenities like comb, cotton etc. Drinks machine provided at the lobby which is a great touch from the resort to the customers. Love their private onsen bath. They have 5 different private onsen bath rooms and most of the time it is available. We opted for breakfast and dinner and it was a great decision. It changes everyday. For dinner it’s like a semi buffet, you can order the tempura free flow. They provide ramen for supper. Overall I will recommend this hotel and will come back if there’s another chance.

The hotel had an authentique Japanese feel to it , very spacious rooms , kind staff , and perfect location ! If you are coming from Tokyo to get another feel of Japan then this must be the perfect location ! Being used to major hotels in Tokyo , this came as a contrast , it felt like a traditional home but with all the luxuries you need. I highly recommend
