Rebbenesøya is an island at the far end of the sea gap with fantastic nature and a rich wildlife. There are approximately 50 permanent residents on the island in addition to many cabins/holiday homes. Several daily ferry connections (Mikkelvik – Bromnes) make the island easily accessible by car, 1 h 45 min journey time by car including ferry from Tromsø airport. Daily bus connection on weekdays. The 45 m2 cabin was built in 2011 and has two bedrooms, a living room with an open kitchen and a large loft accessible by loft stairs. Cozy living room with wood-burning stove, Wifi, and TV accessible via Chromecast. The bedrooms have double beds. In addition, there are places to sleep for two on a mattress on the loft. The loft has a height of 1.28 m in the middle. There is a grocery store in Engvik in the south of the island, 11 km from the cabin, and a summer cafe just 400 m north of the cabin. There are lavvo and gapahuk which increase well-being by being out in nature even when the weather is not at its best. There is plenty of fish in the sea around Rebbenesøya and possible to fish with a rod from shore. In winter, you can experience nature on skis or with snowshoes.
