The ventilation fan lighting couldn’t be turned off and it’s very bright. Couldn’t get into sleep. Would suggest hostel to deactivate that light. Overall experience is great, however female toilet cleaness have to improve . Reasonable price for travelers stay.

The hotel is located in a quieter area of Taman Mount Austin, but it is still within walkable distance to places like Nanyang Street and other locations. The hotel is newly renovated, and their basic amenities are sufficient. For the price of S$40/night in 2025, this hotel is considered to be at the lower range, but it offers a very good standard of cleanliness, careful details, and the general comfort is assured! Room was old and outdated; wall paint are peeling off or with water bubble. No bedroom slippers provided and there are signs of delamination from the laminated flooring which is uncomfortable to walk on. Location wise was ok; not too noisy at night (ground level pub was closed for the week during my stay) and with cafe a few steps’ away from the ground floor of the hotel. To pay S$110/night for Friday night was definitely over-priced based on facilities of the hotel; more can be done to refurbish the hotel. Staff at front desk was polite and efficient though.

Location is easily accessed in Skudai area. Not too noisy not too quite. Plenty parking in front of hotel. Bathroom frosted glass with opaque wall sticker. Still ok got privacy.

JS Hotel oli hiljattain paikalla ja vaikka sijainti oli mukava, yleiskokemus jätti jotain toivottavaa. Hotelli tuntui hieman vanhentunut, ja huoneet voisivat olla huomiota puhtauden ja huollon. On selvää, että kiinteistö voisi hyötyä uudistamisesta parantaakseen mukavuutta ja vetoomusta. Myönteisellä puolella hotelli on kävelymatkan päässä Aeon Shopping Mall, joka on erittäin mukava ostoksia ja ruokaa. On myös mukavuuskauppa suoraan ulkopuolella, joka tekee helppoa napata olennaisia. Yleensä, jos etsit vain perus, ei-frills paikka jäädä erinomaiseen sijaintiin, JS Hotel voisi toimia. Kuitenkin, jos etsit nykyaikaisempaa tai hyvin ylläpidetty kokemus, saatat haluta tutkia muita vaihtoehtoja.

There are two different categories. 1. Rooms are renovated and 2. Exciting rooms No. 2 category might/may smoking in the room. But I really do not recommend it and please ask the receptionist before check in. And you might have to add additional cost for upgrading. Other than that, ok with budget accommodations..

The room is good. Clean and the counter service is friendly. Easy to find foods. Restaurant and shopping mall is around the place. Looking forward to stay here again. Recommended.

Booked non-smoking room, but few rooms also with cigarette smell and cigarette butt in toilet basin and floor. (I requested to change room) Sticky room floor. Cracked toilet bowl, dew unsafe to use. Also saw stray cat vomit on table at lobby waiting area. So far, the location is good. Friendly staff.

Suggest to all friends who would traveling to Johor Bahru here is another one should be stayed close to Domino's pizza, KFC, 7-11 convenient to travel
