"Located in Xianggelila Zhen (formerly known as Riwa), the hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the Yading Tourism Passenger Transport Terminal. If you're arriving by long-haul bus, make sure to buy tickets to Yading, not Daocheng. The Daocheng bus station is about 2 hours away, and you would need to take a shared taxi or another bus to get here. Also, it's best to buy your return ticket in Chengdu, as purchasing tickets at the Yading station can be a bit of a hassle.
As a Muslim traveller, I found two halal restaurants within a 3-minute walking distance, located behind the hotel. To get to the Yading scenic area, you can easily catch a yellow minibus for 10 yuan one way, or ask the hotel owner to help arrange transport.
The room was clean and comfortable. The owner and his daughters were very kind and helpful, even though they didn’t speak English. Their warm gestures truly touched my heart.
The only downside is that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Other than that, everything was great. Highly recommended for solo female travellers.
If I ever come back to this area, I would definitely choose the same hotel again."

"Absolutely wonderful homestay and hostess! I was travelling alone and suffered some altitude sickness and the hostess was so kind. She organised the oxygen machine so I could sleep and recover from the sickness. I stayed 2 nights originally and loved it so much i went back later and stayed another night.The rooms are extremely comfortable, great hot water pressure, excellent heating. The hostess speaks excellent English and also can organise carpooling with taxis to reach Yading. I highly recommend to anyone travelling to Daocheng."

"It’s a decent place to stay. However, it gets cold during the night. I don’t see a heater in the room, except the one in the bathroom. The exhaust fan that also can work as a heater. Maybe that’s the one? There is convenient store nearby and also plenty of restaurant. It takes around 10 minutes by car to reach yading scenic park. At the time during my visit, there is a construction going on nearby. It gets pretty noisy during the day, since the homestay located near the intersection. All the trucks and cars kept honking each other. Other than that, it’s an okay stay."

"I am YS solo traveler but have lived in China for six months each year for 12 years. My fourth time to Yading to visit the fabulous park. I stayed at the Super 8 one night before going into the park. Then I stayed in the small yarding Village inside the park for one night and then return to the Super 8 again for the third night before departing yarding. The hotel was just great. Walk in town and main street with many restaurants in 2 minutes. Lots of feee managed parking behind the hotel. The value for money is quite good. I paid 183 RMB. my room was large very clean comfortable bed and I have no complaints. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip back to Yadin. "

"Location is great, in the center of Riwa. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. Only 10minutes to the entrance of Yading.
Staff are helpful. They can speak a bit of English. Foreigners are accepted.

My mountain view room was excellent. All the mod cons, great hot water pressure, comfortable bed. Such a lovely spot in Aden Village ..if you go to the park I'd highly recommend staying here

For the price, the hotel is really value for money. The service is excellent and the hotel staff will promptly attend to your request. The lady boss even took the trouble to notify us when she noticed that our car lights were left on when parked. The bath is also good with rain shower and strong water pressure. There is also free laundry service and the staff provided extra hangers for drying the washed clothes. The bed heater is warm enough for a good night's sleep in cold weather. Breakfast provided is decent and hot. You can also buy oxygen at a super cheap price from the front desk. Besides the room decor being a bit dated and some maintenance are needed, this hotel provides everything you need at a really affordable price.

The location of the HomeStay is excellent. It is located at the end of the street of a quieter corner away from the busy street.
Just a short walk you will have access to many eateries and shops.
The interior decoration is uniquely furnished with ******* style design transporting us into a real local ******* family home without the need to be physically in Tibet.
The Owner of the HomeStay is very friendly and helpful. He introduced us to ******* culture and explained the significance of Animals painting on the wall and how it translates into daily life. Animals consisted of Elephant, Monkey, Rabbit and Bird.
He also made us their fragrance 酥油茶 suyou cha which is good to counter Altitude sickness 高反。
Cat is also a sacred animal in ******* culture.
The price of the HomeStay is very reasonable with the excellent location and service. It has free laundry service, however you need to hang them dry in an outdoor clothes line. It will dry quickly as the weather is very dry/sunny.
I would highly recommend this HomeStay to everyone who likes to go to Daocheng Yading.
Lastly, I would like to thank the Owner and his Sister for making our stay an enjoyable one.

Right in the center of Xiangelila town, 2min walk from supermarkets restaurants and even a Dicos! It's right on the road that will take you straight to the main entrance to Yading Scenic Area (about 6km, taxi 40RMB or 10RMB per person if carpooling). During check-in the nice ******* lady at reception upgraded my room at no extra cost. Place is clean above usual Chinese standards. If you want a heater is 5RMB per night, but the electric blanket was sufficient. Water is warm, but not scalding (personally I only take showers at +45 degrees, but it was enough to wash my face without discomfort). I was very happy with my stay so next morning I booked another night, rather than staying in Yading town. When I returned very late at night, and owing to my pickiness when it comes to food, the lady at the desk made me quick and delicious fried rice and wouldn't accept my money no matter how many times I offered. I would have stayed another night if I didn't have to leave next morning. Thanks for everything, I'll be back one day!

Very cute hotel in the center of Yading village with generous rooms that offer great mountain views. Whilst we were very happy with our stay, bear in mind that there might be some language barriers at times.

The sign board is in Chinese only. So, it is quite difficult for foreigner like me to get to the right building. Even my local taxi driver can not. Fortunately, the owner lady and friends are sittings at the roadside waiting for customers or passerby who looks for an accommodation.
The owner lady is very generous and servicible. She helps me carrying my big luggage from street to the homestay. She also show me how to use facilities in the room. She speaks only chinese but I can not. So, she suggest me to contact her via Wechat which I can use translation feature. In the morning before I am going to visit Yading Scenic Spot, she offers me an treking pole too. Nevertheless, Due to the early departure time of bus to Xianggelila, I figure out whether I move to stay in town for another day after finishing 3-day booking here. She asks me if I have nothing to do in town and decide to continue staying. She can provide a free pick-up to the bus station by her family car at 5.30 a.m. That is great.
The room is small and simple but tidy. Bed is firm and comfortable. It comes with electronic blanket which helps alot because it is freezing at night. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Hot water is provided all day in night. Shower pressure is strong and easy to adjust the temperature. However, bathroom and toilet are humid and difficult to dry because of the cold weather. Wifi is strong.

Simple shared room for a reasonable price. The boss is very friendly and helpful. The internet is very bad and there is poor phone service so bear this in mind if you need those. Also no towel provided however overall fine for a short stay.

I love the location and cleaning of the place. This is my 1st time in Shangrila town. The Owner is very friendly and helpful. He guided me and walk with me to buy a bus ticket even he is cannot speak English but Google translate and wechat can help us a lot. So I ended up book 1 more night in Riwa
Location : Great, 5 mins walk from Riwa Bus station
(hotel is next to the bus station but it’s in the backside)
Room : Big and Clean
Water pressure : High but slightly take time to hot
(it’s so cold in April)
Hotel has Elevator !
You can find a taxi around a town
Plenty of food and supermarket near by
