Title: Wonderful, family‑friendly stay with excellent service We had a fantastic stay. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in arranging birthday decorations that made our celebration feel special. Our room was spacious and comfortable, giving our family plenty of space to relax and spend time together. The swimming pool was a highlight—clean, well maintained, and great for both kids and adults. We also loved the convenience of having Donki in the hotel for snacks and late‑night bites. Overall, a very family‑friendly property with great amenities and thoughtful service. We’d happily stay here again.

Hotel service was exceptional, flowers were prepared for our anniversary celebration. Hotel room and swimming pool were modern and clean. Highly recommend this hotel. One minor flaw was the pillow were too soft.

The Altira is an absolutely gorgeous hotel in the north of Taipa village. My stay was excellent from start to finish. The view from the hotel room is expansive, with a gorgeous outlook of the main Macau peninsula. The room itself is huge, with a large bathtub to soak in and a cloakroom to store luggage and jackets. The room itself has a large couch, a desk, and a generous bed. Th casino at the first floor is small, but quiet in case you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Venetian. Shuttle bus services are more limited than other hotels, but Taipa is walkable enough to get to Cotai or any other part on the southern island. Shuttle bus services go to Border Gate, City of Dreams, and Studio City. Housekeeping is incredibly generous and attentive with their service. I had glasses on my bedside so they gave my anti-fog wipes to clean the lenses! Truly a wonderful stay — I’d certainly consider staying here again upon my next visit to Macau.

Overall we had an excellent stay at The Londoner and would gladly come back. The shuttle transfer from the Hengqin border was a bit confusing at first. The signage was not very clear and seemed to point in the wrong direction, and the employee at the pickup point unfortunately spoke neither Mandarin nor English. After some searching we managed to find the correct shuttle and arrived at the hotel without further problems. Once at the property we were immediately assisted by one of the staff members. Check-in can take some time since many guests arrive at the same time. If you travel as a group and request rooms on the same floor, the process may take even longer. It almost felt like receptionists had to compete with each other to secure rooms before they were assigned elsewhere. The organization seemed a little unusual, but eventually everything worked out. We were offered rooms on the same floor, which happened to be a smoking floor. The staff explained that smoke smell should not be noticeable. This turned out to be accurate. The rooms themselves had no smoke smell at all, and only a very faint smell was noticeable in the hallway. For non-smokers it is therefore perfectly manageable to stay on such a floor. The rooms themselves were excellent. They were spotless, spacious and very well equipped. Amenities included a coffee machine with capsules and creamer, more than enough drinking water, a large comfortable bed and easy-to-use electronic controls. The blackout curtains work perfectly for anyone who prefers complete darkness while sleeping. The bathroom area was also very spacious and featured a large mirror, a very nice shower, a bathtub and a Japanese-style toilet. One of our rooms was designed for disabled guests and therefore did not include a bathtub, which was perfectly fine. What stood out positively was how well the accessibility features were integrated. The bathroom was beautifully designed and did not feel like a simple retrofit, which is a very thoughtful touch for guests who need these facilities. The Londoner complex itself is huge and beautifully designed. Staff are present everywhere and are generally friendly and helpful. The complex focuses heavily on shopping and entertainment. Western food and bar options are somewhat limited, but this likely reflects the fact that Macau today caters largely to mainland Chinese visitors. We still easily found options such as the Cheesecake Factory and the Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, which served our needs well. One major advantage of the location is connectivity. From The Londoner you can walk via enclosed skybridges to the Four Seasons, The Venetian and The Parisian, and other casino resorts can be reached either on foot or with a short and inexpensive taxi ride. If you want to explore the historic Macau Peninsula, reaching the metro system from the casino complex is not entirely straightforward. However taxis are plentiful and affordable, making the trip very easy. There also appear to be public buses available, although we did not try them ourselves. Overall the hotel complex works very well as a base for visiting the other side of Macau. One small logistical note for travelers heading to Hong Kong Airport: the reception staff could only point us to bus services going to the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge terminal. Direct transfers from the hotel to Hong Kong Airport were not really available through the hotel, so we ended up arranging a private car ourselves. In practice the hotel can easily get you to the bridge terminal, but from there you will need to organize the onward journey yourself unless you book a private transfer in advance. Overall it was an incredible stay and a hotel we would happily choose again. Just keep in mind that Macau is not Las Vegas and caters much more to mainland Chinese visitors, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly.

Very friendly and fast check in. Very polite and answer your questions promptly. The rooms were clean and hotel is very accessible to Venetian hotel or MGM hotel. Food options is ok. Security at the hotel make you feel safe which is very important for visitors. Will consider staying again in the future.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing. He handled our check-in with a genuine smile and was incredibly helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. We chose W Hotel Macau as we heard the breakfast was great. It actually amazed me with both quality and quantity. Different style of cuisine could be found and we loved most of the food we picked. Moreover, huge thanks to their staff Brian and Hazel with the room upgrade. The mega room was insane. The terrace was more like a space for party where you could enjoy the view of Macau from top of the building while having fun with friends. Also the service from Jimmy when I was checking out was also brilliant. Overall, it is absolutely a place I will stay again in the future.

The walls are thin. You can hear the snore of the guests behind the walls and in the corridor. On the third day of my stay, a family with kids checked in to the connecting next door. The kids kept turning and turning and turning the connecting door knob violently for a few minutes and the parents didn’t stop them. Terrible service of the waitress at the restaurant. Poor communication skill and offensive manner. When I asked for the bill and placed my credit card on my dining table — and I didn’t say anything else — her first response was “No discount!” I didn’t ask for any discount. She asked me “Are you our hotel guest?” I showed her my check out luggage storage tag and said “I am. But I just checked out.” She responded grumpily, “No discount gah! You don’t have the room card!” I wouldn’t book with this resort anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to people who are looking for a quiet stay.

Location is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless. However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. ========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ========== The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job. If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics. Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.” Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?! I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive. ================================================================================ Facilities: The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.
