"This was such a lovely hotel! The wooden carving was so beautiful and the rooms were lovely and cosy. We initially booked one of the rooms in the main lobby area and they were fantastic. The shower was hot and dependable and there was a nice view out the window. The price point is also great, as it definitely feels like one of Yubengs higher and hotels in a great location, but without a huge price tag. There are many cool restaurants surrounding the hotel, and in my opinion, lower Yubeng is the better village to stay at, especially if you are trekking in from ninong. For our final night we upgraded to the mountain view suite. Yes, you can see the mountain better but the room is actually worse than the downstairs rooms, as well as being more expensive. I think the downstairs rooms are far superior. The boss was also nice and helpful, as well as going out of her way to lend us hiking gear. Great hotel."

"This is my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to China. The design is truly beautiful and full of cultural charm, with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains - especially at sunrise. I really fell in love with the atmosphere here: cozy, calm, modern yet deeply rooted in local culture. It felt like a true vacation home, the perfect place to unwind after long days of traveling. I could see the mountains right from my balcony, but the best view is from the coffee area on the 4th floor. I also got to try several traditional activities during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner - and despite the cold weather, the room stayed warm and incredibly comfortable. The hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you don’t even have to step outside. I'll definitely come back someday just for a relaxing getaway!"

"This stay offers great value for money. The hotel has an excellent view of Meili Snow Mountain from its observatory deck on the 5th floor, although the view from the room is partially obstructed by a building on the right-hand side.
The reception hall is impressive, and we received a warm welcome with afternoon tea, nighttime desserts, and group activities organized by the hotel, including fireworks. We were very fortunate to catch the Geminid meteor shower during our stay and were able to watch it comfortably from our room—and, of course, to admire Meili Snow Mountain at sunrise."

Designed by well-known domestic designers, the room faces the thirteen peaks of Meili Snow Mountain, and you can directly watch the most spectacular sunshine Jinshan in the hotel. The hotel adopts whole-house oxygen production equipment, whole-house floor heating, and whole-intelligent system to ensure the comfort and convenience of guests when enjoying the beautiful scenery. The hotel is equipped with a tea room, a coffee bar, a fireplace area and a library, as well as a large unobserved viewing platform on the top floor, making Meili a beautiful memory for you.
"Wow! Words cannot really describe how wonderful this place is.
We took the bus from Shangrila and the hotel picked us up at a designated spot for a quick 5 minute drive through some of the most spactacular mountain sunset views.
Check in was quick, easy and within minutes we were shown to our room. The room was huge with a floor to ceiling window facing Meili Mountain, a bathtub and projector with huge screen. The sofa was so big I began to think it was a bed.
The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean with beautiful large warm towels as well as some quality toiletries and bathrobes.
The bedroom was well appointed with very large bed, writing desk and a good oxygen supply. The whole place had underfloor heating which was super comfortable.
This little hotel has a rooftop bar/cafe with the most spectacular views. Drinks range from tea and coffee to some cocktails all of which are served with snacks by a very pleasant young man. He was super helpful each time we visited the bar and even made sure the stove was well stocked with logs on the night we wanted to stay late to see the stars.
We had local breakfast at the hotel each morning which was of excellent quality and very filling. We also had our evening meals at the hotel and the quality was excellent with great flavour and variety.
The staff are all super helpful and were able to recommend some local spots to visit as well as arrange a car to Feilai Temple and a car to take us back to Shangrila for a great price.
The whole experience at Deqen Meili GY Banshan Homestay made me wish I had booked more nights. It was the highlight of my trip to Yunnan and I will definitely stay here again next time. I can highly recommend and I miss it so much!"

"Lovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice."

"You can see that it is an old hotel and can't really compare with other 5 star hotels on many aspects. But it is probably understandable considering the very remote location. Nevertheless, we were extremely satisfied with their service, especially from Ms Angel. Firstly, they gave us a free room upgrade and even decorated our room nicely after knowing that we were on our honeymoon. Angel also contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was ok, she was so friendly and helpful throughout, and when we were leaving, she even went out of her way to make multiple phone calls to make sure our bus seats back to Shangri-la was secured. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone."

The guest rooms are clean and hygienic, with independent bathrooms and 24-hour hot water. Complete facilities. The guest room environment has an excellent view. You can enjoy the beautiful Meili Snow Mountains Scenic Area. It is an ideal choice for viewing Meiling Snow Mountain and photography enthusiasts.
"This room is rather pricy for what it offers. Rather basic room and toilet. There is a humidifier and a small room heater which doesn’t really help in the middle of winter. However to our surprise, the bed is electrically heated and works very well and extremely useful in the wintry cold. Location is not too bad as there are many restaurants nearby and the mountain sunrise viewing deck area is maybe within 200m away. Please checkout the Sichuan restaurant just opposite the hotel which would also be recommended by the hotel staff as the food is affordable and extremely delicious. Speaking of the staff, the staff was not at the front desk at check in however he did respond quickly via WeChat. His attitude is bad as though we owed him a living."

"We had a wonderful stay in ZGlamping, we have to say this is THE MOST cozy and high-end place to choose to stay here in Yubeng village. Located in between of the upper and lower Yubeng, there are 4 in total of 5-star permanent tents (no need to worry about bumping into other people) are just like an secret hidden realm from “afterlife”. The carpet, slippers and even beddings in the room were super comfy. The best view and best service guaranteed. Our butler, Mr.Ping, was such a lovely and helpful man who prepared all our local meals with extra confirmation on our preferences and even did our laundry for us! Shout out to Mr.Ping! So we highly recommend you to stay in this property because this was for sure a 12 out of 10 kinda experience for us. And you will be completely refreshed after one long deep sleep here in ZGlamping, to get fully prepared for your second day’s Hiking journey."
