"Wow! Words cannot really describe how wonderful this place is. We took the bus from Shangrila and the hotel picked us up at a designated spot for a quick 5 minute drive through some of the most spactacular mountain sunset views. Check in was quick, easy and within minutes we were shown to our room. The room was huge with a floor to ceiling window facing Meili Mountain, a bathtub and projector with huge screen. The sofa was so big I began to think it was a bed. The shower and toilet were spotlessly clean with beautiful large warm towels as well as some quality toiletries and bathrobes. The bedroom was well appointed with very large bed, writing desk and a good oxygen supply. The whole place had underfloor heating which was super comfortable. This little hotel has a rooftop bar/cafe with the most spectacular views. Drinks range from tea and coffee to some cocktails all of which are served with snacks by a very pleasant young man. He was super helpful each time we visited the bar and even made sure the stove was well stocked with logs on the night we wanted to stay late to see the stars. We had local breakfast at the hotel each morning which was of excellent quality and very filling. We also had our evening meals at the hotel and the quality was excellent with great flavour and variety. The staff are all super helpful and were able to recommend some local spots to visit as well as arrange a car to Feilai Temple and a car to take us back to Shangrila for a great price. The whole experience at Deqen Meili GY Banshan Homestay made me wish I had booked more nights. It was the highlight of my trip to Yunnan and I will definitely stay here again next time. I can highly recommend and I miss it so much!"

"This is my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to China. The design is truly beautiful and full of cultural charm, with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains - especially at sunrise. I really fell in love with the atmosphere here: cozy, calm, modern yet deeply rooted in local culture. It felt like a true vacation home, the perfect place to unwind after long days of traveling. I could see the mountains right from my balcony, but the best view is from the coffee area on the 4th floor. I also got to try several traditional activities during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner - and despite the cold weather, the room stayed warm and incredibly comfortable. The hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you don’t even have to step outside. I'll definitely come back someday just for a relaxing getaway!"

"The room was decent, and the view might be nice on a clear day. But if you come during the rainy season, everything is just a blur of white—definitely not worth the price. Not sure if there are any restaurants nearby, but you can order food through *******. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, with some of the dishes and bowls cracked or chipped. For such an expensive room, shouldn’t they be using new tableware?"

"Staffs of the hotel are very kind and offer drop off and pick up from the place (just after the tunnel, just tell the bus driver where you are staying and he will stop there) the bus drop you. Room are clean and the front facing rooms on the 2nd floor provide a fantastic view from the comfort of your bed!"

"If you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible. The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location. The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave. A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that! Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day. We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough. "This stay offers great value for money. The hotel has an excellent view of Meili Snow Mountain from its observatory deck on the 5th floor, although the view from the room is partially obstructed by a building on the right-hand side. The reception hall is impressive, and we received a warm welcome with afternoon tea, nighttime desserts, and group activities organized by the hotel, including fireworks. We were very fortunate to catch the Geminid meteor shower during our stay and were able to watch it comfortably from our room—and, of course, to admire Meili Snow Mountain at sunrise."

"The service was excellent, the best of 3 different hotels we stayed at during our trip in Yunnan. Staff was also super friendly and professional. The views from the hotel are absolutely amazing and the hotel is located in a quiet area which makes it even more enjoyable. We loved relaxing in the bar area with the fireplace, coffee was delicious. Breakfast was very tasty and big portions. The room is very spacious with very comfortable bed. I highly recommend staying here!"

"Lovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice."

"Had an amazing stay at this mountain homestay. Personally, I think homestay is not the right name for it. It’s more of a luxury hotel experience on top of a mountain. Very lovely and friendly owner who got out of his way to find me some throat lozenges because I was having sore throat due to the dry air. Indeed, the 14km hike from Ninong to Yubeng is very tiring, but it is made up for as soon as we reached the hotel. It’s a perfect hotel for couples (or travelers) who wishes for adventures but also wants to have the luxury comfort of a good room, bed and food at the end of a long hike. Now we are spoilt as we will be using this experience as a benchmark for our next hiking + luxury stay adventures!"
