We being offered to change the hotel to next door Tribe hotel and provide 1 day of free hotel breakfast for 4pax. Still the Tribe hotel service was great and breakfast was delicious too. My daughter left her iPad in the safe at the room and when we called the hotel they can quickly check for us and sent us confirmation. Location is not central but consider near which 2 stops away, and just next to Noord train station.

Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. We stayed at Novotel Amsterdam City in standard twin rooms for a family holiday (6 of us), and overall it was a great experience. Mr. Oman at the reception was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during check-in. He also helped make sure all our requests were met; connecting rooms, 2 single beds, same floor, and next to each other. Really appreciated that! The only downside was one male receptionist (Middle Eastern-looking) who didn’t seem very welcoming. He was quite passive and seemed unwilling when I asked for help with temporarily storing our luggage.

Close to the central railway station, but still a tough walking distance. Spacious room, cozy beddings, and bright lights. Amazing city and canal view facing the station and sunset. The higher floor, the better. Some furniture was worn and need to be fixed. The TV table is not well designed, and looks dangerous to kids or teenagers. Square-shaped pillows were first seen in hotels and not user friendly.

The church hotel idea is interesting, and the workers were really nice. 🥰🥰 However, in my opinion, this place doesn’t deserve $155. When I booked it, I was on the way and made the reservation quickly. I knew the room would be small, but not this small. It wasn’t just small, the main wall was slanted, which made the usable space extremely narrow. I immediately took a picture of the toilet upon entering, as it had a yellow stain inside. The beds were comfortable, but there was no closet, not enough hangers, and the bathroom was extremely small with a tiny sink, making it impossible to place a toothbrush or makeup bag. The location is not bad, but you do have to walk at least 20 minutes (and 4 minutes with ferry) to reach Central Station. If you take the train, it’s about 11 minutes of walking plus 2 minutes on the train. Overall, in my opinion, the price paid definitely does not match the quality offered.

The location is not the most central and to get to old town, on needs to walk and catch ferry or metro. The breakfast buffet was good value and plenty of choices for most people. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

A very clean hotel, staff are very nice and friendly. Location is another highlight, located right next to Overamstel station, very convenient if you want to go some other cities or Amsterdam Central as you can always go to Amstel station

Love the Vibes Teleport Hotel. Especially the wonderful owners..being very helpful and friendly the moment we entered the hotel. I feel her aura surely uplifts my tiredness after an overnight travel. But i wish they have coin laundry Bar or service.free storage luggage and updated events during our stay isa Plus.

The location is great, right in downtown and very convenient walking around in the center of Amsterdam. Room was especially small, not a big hotel, think they gave me their smallest room with a view of the internal air-well in the basement. The room was not even big enough to open up my luggage completely so I had to unpack out a few clothing as I was staying there for a few nights and luckily able to store my closed luggage beneath the bed. Toilet was small but looked as if it was recently upgraded in the last few years, it looked fairly new although there were some drain flies flying around in the toilet and could have been cleaned or exterminated better. Bed was surprisingly a double for such a small room and was comfortable enough. I had an issue with the receptionist opening my room door without knocking at all while I was stark naked and about to head into the toilet for a shower. Did not think that it was professional no matter the reason for doing so - apparently she was confused and open up the wrong door. Knocking on door and waiting for an answer should be a universal practice by all hospitality staff across any hospitality properties. Room was expensive for the size but it was centrally located and comfortable enough.

We had been really concerned after pre paying this hotel then reading bad reviews that had us convinced we would need to wear plastic suits the entire visit,, so I thought I'd give my review based around the concerns we had read, to try and be helpful ! some of the things were true , the sheets did come off the bed on mine but I wiggle but my friends both stayed on their beds. super annoying but I just slid it back on and you can always throw your cover over it instead and ask for another . Fortunately we didn't come across the bed bugs people mentioned !, the cat seemed happy and not flea ridden.. however the room was clean enough , no obvious mould. The beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and quite nice It wasn't huge but had ample.space for our things in the triple person room . It's an old building with narrow windy stairs I'm glad the elevator worked. it's not a relax and sit in all day hotel..it's a place to sleep , shower ...charge your phone and keep your belongings. The coffee machine was fine as far as basic goes. The staff were fine There was a fifty euro deposit on the desk, we just asked for a receipt after other things mentioned in reviews and were given a written one with no problem on leaving . We were offered one free housekeeping day as we stayed 4 nights but opted not to use it due to theft mentioned in reviews.. We stayed at the main hotel so I don't know if all the bad reviews were from the other or we just got lucky with our room but we had no problems, and when I went rustling down before hours looking for coffee the guy did help me before reception opened. It's no paradise of a place , there are marks on the walls but faint...if you're fussy it's not the place for you but for the price and location, we really didn't mind it . It's a super great location as a base with a trendy area behind it And a really cool vegan restaurant a tiny walk away a pub downstairs and metro train a stone's throw away If you have the option to pay on arrival ask to see.your room first.you could take that route Just to be safe, but all up it was fine..3 women travelling together there was no unsafe feeling there . We didn't find it noisy.
