"Lakehouse Cameron Highlands offers a truly nostalgic escape—beautifully maintained with old-world charm that instantly transports you to another era. The service was top-notch and the food quality exceeded expectations, making our stay all the more memorable.
We especially appreciated the thoughtful Easter touches throughout the property—it really added to the charm and warmth of the experience. The breakfast was absolutely delightful, both in presentation and taste, and honestly, it’s a reason in itself to return.
Turn-down service was a lovely touch, along with the lighting of scented oil in the room, which created such a calming ambiance. The sea salt prepared for the bath and the bed itself added to the luxurious and relaxing experience.
However, we were a little disappointed that some items on the dinner menu, such as the lamb shank, were not available—especially given the limited choices. It’s something we hope will be improved in future visits.
Still, a truly charming and memorable getaway we’d gladly revisit."

"We stayed for 2 nights and were glad the hotel was located at Tanah Rata—otherwise, with the heavy traffic that day, we might not have been able to check in around 3 PM. The owner and staff were very friendly, always checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. The room gave us a nostalgic feeling, as it was well maintained in its classic style, and the whole hotel itself carried that charming old-fashioned look. The atmosphere was cozy, peaceful, and felt like a step back in time. Overall, our stay was excellent, and we truly appreciated the warmth and hospitality."

The Good:
• Location: Excellent; walking distance to everything in Tanah Rata.
• Housekeeping: Rooms were very clean and well-maintained.
• Service: Staff were professional and helpful throughout.
Areas for Improvement:
• Dining: Food taste was underwhelming and needs more flavor/quality control.
• Gym Layout: Equipment setting is awkward and needs a more functional arrangement.
• Gym Amenities: Please provide towels and drinking water specifically for gym users. These are standard 5-star essentials currently missing.

This hostel is very clean with very highly supportive staff. The location is spot on especially for those who wants to access city centre and the Roman Catholic church in the area. Restaurants are around and of most very close to the bus terminals. Guess what? They can help organize a good tour for you. Very clean toilets.

had an amazing experience at Avillion Hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a short getaway. The traditional wooden water chalets were beautiful and very comfortable, with stunning sea views that made the stay extra special.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in was smooth, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The breakfast spread had a good variety of delicious food, and everything was great

The place is near with pasar malam but you have to walk around the 10 minutes, the house is spacious. The cleanliness is clean, the hospitality is good. Good place to have your vacation.

Location is great. Just walking distance to centrum mall n centrum night market. Very near to many shops n convenient store.
The bathroom looks so scary. Should improve. Old furniture for bed n sofa. No water filter/provide mineral water in room. Very dissapointed.Mind u the plug point only 2. Excluding 2 for tv n astro. No plug point at bed side . Super inconvenient to charge yr phone. Should add more plug point/provide extension.
I was so shock to learn no fan at all upon checkin the room . Had to request standing fan since no ac in room . But they accomodate very well n fast. Although hv window, but u still need the air circulation. Feels very stuffed if no air flow. The window lock should be changed. Anytime can be broken.

I stayed at Kea Garden Guest House and found several areas that could be improved.
There were not enough pillows provided, which affected our comfort. The room felt quite warm even though the weather outside was cold. Having at least one fan in the room would be helpful, as the windows cannot be opened due to privacy concerns and safety reasons. The windows also cannot be locked, which feels unsafe.
The TV had no selectable channels available. It would be better to provide Netflix or a similar streaming service so guests can relax at night, especially during rainy weather when going out is limited.
The bathroom had an unpleasant odor, possibly coming from the tiles or drainage. The iron is placed outside the room, which is inconvenient. It would be more practical to place an iron inside the room and simply check the room inventory during check-out before returning the deposit.
Parking is also limited and shared with visitors who come to shop in the area, making it difficult to find parking.
Overall, the guest house has potential, but improvements in room comfort, facilities, and safety would greatly enhance the guest experience.

For those who are very sensitive to noise, this place is not for you. Since its located in the mall, you can hear all the songs playing from the Centrum mall. No fridge in the room, but slippers are provided. Room is clean with sufficient plug port. January is cold enough that you won't even need to use the fan. They provided a la carte breakfast. However, they need to improve the nasi lemak. Better to use generic tea flavor instead of something like earl grey tea. Not everyone can appreciate the flavour. Location wise is fabulous.

We had a pleasant stay at Kea Garden Mini Chalet. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, including the toilet and bathroom, which were also well-maintained and tidy. There is a prayer room provided for guests, making it convenient for Muslim visitors. There is also a small store where you can buy food and snacks. The service was satisfying, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a good experience with reasonable prices, making it a great choice for a short and relaxing trip.

Im very happy and I feel very satisfied in this hotel. staying here can provide the best access.. in terms of wifi, hot water, fridge, airfryer and much more.. the parking lot is also spacious.. it is very worthwhile to invite your family or partner to stay at this hotel.. highly recommended

We recently spent 3 days and 2 nights at the 3-room apartment in Nova Highlands Hotel, located in the heart of Cameron Highlands. The apartment is spacious and well-suited for families or small groups, offering three separate bedrooms, a living area, and basic kitchen amenities. Its location is convenient, directly above a shopping arcade with eateries, a convenience store, and tourist attractions like the butterfly garden nearby.
Overall, our stay was comfortable, though there are areas for improvement. Cleanliness was average, and some furnishings showed signs of wear. The unit could benefit from better maintenance, particularly in the bathrooms. Noise from the surrounding area can also be heard in the evenings. However, the view from the balcony and the cool mountain air made up for it. It’s a decent, no-frills option for travelers looking for space and accessibility without expecting luxury.
